These guys used to call themselves Shy Boys but I guess they had to change it into The New Romantics cause there is another band with the same name (and a great debut album last year). Their first single was a beautiful 60's influenced garage-pop anthem. https://thenewromantics.bandcamp.com/album/ride-julia Now, almost two years later, under a new name, they have changed everything. Forget the motownish garage pop tunes, this is a pure 80's dark pop thing. Exactly as the new romantics should do. With three new members in the band they sound like a new band! Two decades leap is something, right? Anyway, this is something completely different but still good, especially the first track which is closer to the Joy Division's sound is adorable.

Tiny Fireflies - Ghost (NPR Tiny Desk Contest Submission) Tiny Fireflies began as a collaboration that did not have any intentions of being a band. Chicago musicians Lisle and Kristine (whose solo projects are Fireflies and Tiny Microphone respectively) were asked to appear on "Between two Waves," a compilation series driven by the concept of two musicians joining forces to create a song together, for netlabel Eardrums Pop. They are currently working on their first full length, to be released in 2015.
