so in 2013 i went to see fall out boy on the save rock and roll tour, where panic! at the disco and twenty pilots opened. i had no idea who twenty one pilots was at the time, but i ended up enjoying their set well enough. after the show, i got separated from my friends and spent like 15 minutes waiting in front of the venue to meet up with them.

so i'm just hanging out, and then i see this guy just... standing in a bush talking on the phone? and i realize its the singer from the opening band. so i wait for him to get off the phone, and then i walk over and say i really liked his band and ask for a picture. no one else noticed him and the whole thing was sort of awkward.

today is the 18th anniversary of the very first night of the black parade tour!

for my 16th birthday in 2007, i asked my parents for my chemical romance tickets instead of a party. the tickets i ended up getting were for february 22nd, the first night of the tour at the verizon wireless arena in manchester, NH. we had no idea gerard was going to come out on a gurney, that they'd all be in uniform, or that they were going to play the whole album straight through. i was in nosebleed seats, but it was still one of the most memorable concert experiences of my life.
