I’ve seen people saying its a “plot hole” that jesse found the theatre and figured out thats where ellie and dina were but…in the game ellie and dina conveniently stumble upon places tommy had been multiple times? and no one called that a plot hole? so hows it unrealistic for jesse to do the same in the show…? he also literally says him and tommy split up to cover more ground. the constant double standards are kinda annoying sorry 🤷‍♀️

There are certainly parts of the game that get a lot of grace, even when they're overly convenient to the story or not quite realistic.

I'd argue that it's a bit wild that the one patrol that Abby goes after just happens to be the one that Joel is on. Call it fate or a really unfortunate coincidence, but it's certainly convenient for the plot. It also takes them like... two months to get to Jackson? Which is a long time even taking into account roads being blocked and them running into trouble. I doubt they went on foot, and Abby had some vague idea of where they were in Wyoming, so them taking so long doesn't make a lot of sense. And even if they didn't know, Jackson Hole is really close to the border of Wyoming, so it'd be one of the first places they'd come across....

It's the same as, like you mentioned, Ellie and Dina finding Tommy's horse. Them going under the exact same overpass as he did, even after falling into the school and getting chased around by WLF is mighty convenient. (for the record I'm not genuinely criticising these things!! I think they're fine and don't need extensive explanation)

But this is just stuff that happens because it needs to. You literally cannot drive plot along without things like this happening. The characters need things to find, people to see and talk to, events to occur to keep them going.

I think Jesse finding the theatre is fine. It's not impossible for him to have found evidence of their path, overheard WLF soldiers mention the two women they lost in the subway, or for him to look at places like a giant theatre that they could hole up in. The whole reason he went was to find them, so he's going to search.

You can criticise the show to your hearts content, and if Jesse finding the theatre genuinely troubled you then that's okay. But i do think it gets to a point where people are just criticising every single thing they can out of hate for the show, which I would imagine would get quite tiring.

Nora's beating was WAY WORSE in the show than game.

To me it was implied in the game she was hit over the head multiple times and we never see her get hit but here?? Legs are broken (*cough cough* like how Joel was shot in the leg *cough cough*) which means Ellie was probably dragging this out as long as she could
