It only lasts for a second, though, because Lev’s HAPPINESS is ruined instantly, gaping at his upperclassman when Kenma does say that. He claps his hands together in a PLEA, eyes scrunching shut. 

“Don’t make me go over there, please! I swear it’d haunted or something! I’ll gather my proof for you, I promise, I just can’t do it right now! What if we… what if we went for a JOG or something? If the door’s OPEN by the time we get BACK that means it has to be true!”

“So an I owe you...” He’s not sure what he’d even ask of Lev, now or later. If anything he may just ask for a pass on extra practice, though that may be a waste. Getting out of it was already easy enough. A snack...?

His distracted mind comes back to attention at the clap. He really was bothered by this, wasn’t he? Too much so for this to be some prank.

“What kind of ghost is this supposed to be?” A curious look. Though at the mention of a jog he frowns, face showing displeasure. Luckily for Lev, however, he’s yet to go on one today. And if done later it may be when he’s too tired to go through with it... He resigns into his fate with a sigh. “I guess we could...”

“Thank you. I’m pretty ordinary though.” People who saw him swim that didn’t have an immense knowledge of the sport were usually impressed, but he wouldn’t let those things get into his head. There were still so many that were faster and had better form than he did. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t any good either. 

He just acknowledged that he had some skill but still a long road ahead of him. 

He climbed out of the pool, going to his gym bag to grab his towel, he wiped his face. “Don’t take this the wrong way but- don’t taller people usually play volleyball?” He didn’t know much but he did recall seeing a team or two at school and they were always full of pretty big guys. 

Being modest was a good trait.Those who knew they had room to improve were typically the ones always growing and becoming stronger, better. Still... “Some people in this world cannot swim at all, or only slowly. So maybe it’s ordinary in your world but... um... I guess even that can be extraordinary elsewhere...”

Still the word ordinary was sometimes depressing.

Then the topic of his height. Luckily he was far too used to this so no strong reaction was felt. He simply looked back to his phone, pulling it to himself to change from the timer to a game. “Usually... shorter people tend to play libero...”
