i'm a canon/canon-compliant girlie most of the time but please have some links to some dnf aus that i'm obsessed with lately:

the humbling river by monifoundlove - 85k dnf cowboy au. I don't know how to explain it, but this fic just kind of embodies what a big bang is to me. One gloriously long fic posted all in one go that you can stay up until 3 am reading and it doesn't matter that your eyes literally hurt they feel dry and you have work in a few hours bc it was worth it.

the fires we let burn by @czargasm - this one is a WIP but finished and posting on a schedule and it's a delicious two chapters at once. the au is just so beautifully crafted that it makes me want to spend a summer in a fire tower just to be closer to this reality

too good to let you fly by by @invinciblelikeu - the premise is what if dream pursued music instead of minecraft so it's got some flavor of canon but still very much au and it's just really the perfect depiction of how their connection is instant and unavoidable that even if the rest of their lives haven't been bent to fit the shape of it, it'll force itself there anyway

yeah thats what im saying like it doesnt necessarily have to be networking/useful connections even if we are talking about a content creation convention. i saw some of the people he followed and it's just random like he'll probably never talk to them again in his life but it's still nice to chat and follow back because why not
