Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series with time shrunk so that 1 minute of practice lasts only 1 second.

An hour and a half practice is condensed into 90 seconds (please note nearly 10 full seconds of savasana! :)  Its important, folks, don’t be hasty at the end).

The way I shot it was shutter open and shutter closed for nearly the same length of time, about 1.5 seconds each.  This means one shot every 3 seconds and each shot is actually collecting half of the total time span.   A 1’3”-1’5” second shot is a very long exposure for movement.  So despite the jittery flow of the images, anything in “focus” was actually quite still.

Tech stuff aside, what it shows is the motion and stillness rhythm of this vinyasa practice.  That’s the part that I love.  The flow!
