Moon 0 | Catastrophe
The camp had bern upwind of the fire, set down in a hollow where no cat had much of a chance to take note. Honeyfoot had panicked- of course he had, everyone had taken to shouting and fretting- and nobody had wasted the time it would have taken to organise.
He’d grabbed Phloxkit and run out onto the plains- trying not to fall behind or be trampled, knowing he could meet up with the others once the danger had passed. She didn’t protest for long, understanding his fear, if not the situation.
But they were exhausted, and the camp had burned so very hot, and Honeyfoot had run till his paws bled, and covered quite the distance. . As rain started to fall, bringing an end to the white-hot terror, and the two cats found some meagre shelter, Honeyfoot promised himself- and Phloxkit- and they’d search for survivors tomorrow.

Fireheart should’ve gotten a permanent burn scar while saving Bramblekit from the fire I just think it is extremely symbolic and would do irreversible things to my brain

if you like a piece of media that is good eventually youll more or less run out of things to say about how good it is but if you like a piece of media that is objectively pretty mediocre but also somehow deeply compelling thats how the demons get you

Warrior Cats but Mapleshade regains her sanity after dying and desperately wants to reunite with her kits in StarClan. Unfortunately, too many cats remember her as “evil”, so she’s trapped in the Dark Forest.
Appledusk, on the other hand, is bitter about his death and is very much eager to get some form of revenge on Mapleshade. It’s not enough to mock her from where StarClan and the Dark Forest meets. He needs to make sure she suffers.
“Crookedstar’s Promise” still happens, but Mapleshade was trying to somehow replace her own kits with the troubled young cat she found in the living world. It’s Appledusk who toys with his descendant, convincing him that Mapleshade was causing all of his misery and effectively turning him against her.
Time and time again, Mapleshade tries to find peace by entering the minds of young cats and caring for them when their own kin cannot or will not. Part of her hopes that if these cats remember her as she really is, then maybe she could enter StarClan one day.
But every time, Appledusk finds out which cats she’s visiting and tells them all about how Mapleshade betrayed her Clan, allowed her kits to drown, and murdered innocent cats. Of course, he never mentions his own wrongdoings. That would defeat the purpose of all his hard work.
Over time, Mapleshade begins to lose hope, and she begins listening more to the Dark Forest cats around her. Maybe if she gave in and joined their ugly mindsets, she’d be able to find some sort of peace. But the thought of giving up on her kits, and letting Appledusk win, is unbearable to her. And so she decides to try one more time.
Hollypaw is more than confused when she dreams of a dreary forest and the fading figure of a tortoiseshell queen.
