      Hiding away in the dark is always easier & he presses back until the wet concrete is flat against his skin and the shadows swallow him. The smell of one of THEM is almost overwhelming and it makes him dizzy, a sensation he’s never exactly been fond of. And for the first time, Hayden might’ve been cornered by a hunter. Jamie’s out of town, there’s no backup anywhere close, and it’s too late to go running. Sheltering himself in this alleyway is his best bet and he clenches his teeth, the metallic tang still heavy on his tongue and smeared across his skin. He’s caught. He’s out of places to run. He’s trapped like an ANIMAL— - Hayden’s out of options.

      ❝ I’m not here to HURT you. ❞  He realizes it’s an excuse hunters, him included, have used in the past as a trick, but this time he’s being honest. Chase has no intention for harm, he left that lifestyle behind. He’s doing his best to erase his previous reputation. There’s a moment of hesitation before he ( attempts to ) quietly walks further into the alley. At the sight of the vampire, he stops in his tracks, for both his safety and an attempt to make the other feel safer. While he’s never agreed with harming others, he can’t agree with hunters killing any supernatural just trying to survive. ❝ I just wanna help you. Before the actual hunters catch up to you. ❞

Truly they were CHAOS. ) The other hand lifted the hot dog to their lips and took a LARGE bite of it. Talking as they chewed.’ It is disgusting——ly good.’  Their leg dropped, hopping where they stood.

       He frowns, staring at his loss. he can’t take his eyes off the ( not entirely ) empty pouch for a moment. ❝ why this....? ❞ he wants to smack their hotdog out of their hand, but he fights the urge. if he does, he’s no better than them. instead, he’ll just make his disappointment clear. ❝ you’re true evil. ❞
