Been re-watching Gravity Falls with my gf and some friends of hers, and doodled this during the eps last night… Pacifica’s been hearing Mabel coo over how bad she misses Waddles and how big and strong he’s getting for the past three summers, but scale is hard to judge in cell phone pics and there’s a surprise awaiting her when it’s her turn to visit Piedmont….

I'm utterly in love with the way you portray comic ambrosius <3 not just his appearance (though that, too--especially his scars, the eye, and also the way you switch his hair styles and clothes!!), but especially his mobility impairment. just, the way it's a constant thing for him to lean on Ballister (when he's not using his crutch), or Ballister making sure he's got somewhere to sit, or even small things like them not using the bedroom because it's on the second floor... I just adooore all these small details that are always somewhat present <3

Oh, man, thank you so much! It really means a lot to me that that’s working, that that’s coming through. Ambrosius is honestly my favourite-favourite (in a cast where everyone’s my favourite— ND is good at that, I felt that way about She-Ra too) and I think about him a lot haha. But yeah, that kind of thing doesn’t go away. I was thinking about it also in the context of the Ballisters’ arms, too; there’s always stuff that affects the way people live, right? I dunno, it just feels really important not to forget about a character’s circumstances and such when you’re writing them. That was rambly and not terribly eloquent but THANK YOU <3
