– easy to follow plot, no cheap twists and turns 

– episodic, minimal ability to be spoiled, low pressure to rush through

– 6 seasons is rare for a shoujo… that means it’s good af

– written by a female mangaka!!

– wonderful female supporting cast, and none are defined by romantic relationships

– solid cast chockful of a-listers (kamiya hiroshi, inoue kazuhiko, sawashiro miyuki, suwabe junichi, lots of a-list guest stars)

– easy to watch legally, it’s on crunchyroll

– beautiful animation through all seasons (the first season aired in 2008!)

– disclaimer: emotional show. guaranteed to choke up even the coldest of hearts. BUT it does have its fair amount of comedy

– most importantly (to me, anyway): absolutely wonderful, likeable, non-tropey leads that benefit from convincing character development. natsume is one of the best written examples of social anxiety i have seen/read in any medium. if you battle with any form of anxiety (especially social anxiety), this series will help you feel less alone. i can promise that.

– on a more shallow note, natsume in general is just really cute (and for my seiyuu fanatic friends, i think he’s one of kamiyan’s best roles)

— finally, the post wouldn’t be complete without mentioning nyanko-sensei. you may not think you’ll love him when you start the show, but in time you will and suddenly end up owning 5 plush of him

Whoops I was off for a couple days and missed this until now! Yep, I have a Discord, though I’m giving that out solely through messaging. Although I’m posting on-the-spot translations, I don’t know if this means I’ll be properly active again or not, only that I’d had a strong urge to translate these mini events. At the very least, I know I’ll be around for the day.

Tumblr isn’t a very comfortable environment for me anymore for the most part, but if what I’m doing is mostly my own posts rather than browsing it should be perfectly fine. Thank you everyone for sticking with me all this time!

Melissa Mini Garden Event: Drinking Buddies

Melissa: “Ah man...”

Dionysus: “Hahhh...”

Melissa: “Hm?”

Dionysus: “Hmmm? Something up, heaving a big sigh like that.”

Melissa: “Same to you. You’re looking pretty glum yourself.”

Dionysus: “Well, yeah. Got myself some real good wine and no one to drink it with. Talk about a waste.”

Melissa: “Same here! I always drink alone and was just hoping for someone to share with. Sheesh, why didn’t I notice earlier?”

Dionysus: “That’s for sure~ But would Thoth get mad, I wonder? ‘You damn drunkard’ or such.”

Melissa: “Gahahaha! He already calls you that anyway! So that’d make me a ‘drunk doll’ huh!”

Dionysus: “That’s a good one! Now how about we have ourselves a couple good drinks?”

Melissa: “Yeah!”

These two talk both casually and in a very laid-back way and getting that across is something I’m struggling with...

Thor Mini Garden Event: Anything But That

Dionysus: “Aren’t you something, Thor? Look at all those birds around you- are you feeding them?”

Thor: “... Nothing of the sort. ... They do this all the time.”

Thor: “... I like animals. ... Though I know I don’t look it.”

Dionysus: “True. You’re a big, tough-looking guy. Most people probably would be surprised to see it.”

Dionysus: “Aren’t you just the perfect man, popular with the animals like that.” 

Thor: “... It’s not all pleasant. ... There’s one animal in particular I’d rather not have close to me.”

Dionysus: “Oh yeah, that’s right, you don’t like snakes-”

Thor: “... No more!! ... I don’t even want to hear its name!!”

Dionysus: “R- really...!?”

POKEMON SUN AND MOON SHINY CHAINING GUIDE

So I just tried SOS Shiny Chaining and its super easy so I thought I’d do a really quick guide to help explain how to do this. This method is confirmed to work in the Pokemon SM Guidebook. Please excuse my bad phone photos LMAO

Things you’ll need before starting:

Adrenaline orbs (These become available for purchase after you beat Kiawe’s trial in the second island)

Potions, Ethers, Status healers (Antidotes, Paralyze Heals, etc)

A Pokemon with False Swipe

A full team of Pokemon with lots of moves that only hit one Pokemon (So don’t use stuff like Razor Leaf or Earthquake, etc.) 

Okay now that you have your supplies head to wherever it is the Pokemon you want to shiny chain lives in. I wanted to chain for Pichus so I went to Route 1.

So when you find your Pokemon the first thing you want to do use your Adrenaline Orb. What it does is raise the chances of the wild Pokemon calling for help, and this is what we need.   

Once you did that go ahead and False Swipe it to get it to 1HP. Now, this is where the chaining comes in.

What you want to do is leave the 1HP Pokemon alone, go ahead and attack its friend and faint it and repeat this over and over and over.

But Harumi, sometimes when it calls for help, help doesn’t come or it doesn’t call for help at all that turn, what do I do then?

This is super easy, yeah sometimes even with the Adrenaline Orb it doesn’t call for help or help doesn’t come. What you do is go to your bag and get an item like Antidote.

No my Dartrix isn’t poisoned but what happens is, it’ll try to use the Antidote and then the game tells me it has no effect because my Pokemon isn’t poisoned, and a turn will be used up, and no, you don’t lose your Antidote either ! It’s still in your bag. So this just eats up a turn without you having to attack anything and the wild Pokemon will try to call for help again. 

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE TO REMEMBER !!!!

You don’t want the 1HP Pokemon to run out of PP. Because when it does it will use Struggle and this causes damage to itself and it will faint, ending the chain if there’s not a second wild Pokemon there. So after a few turns just False Swipe its friend and then knock out the original 1HP Pokemon to prevent this, very easy.

If you’re patient, you’ll find a shiny :D This girl only took me 40 minutes !

Been a while since ive updated you guys on my wonderland project. Im almost done with bricks on the front side of the castle but ran out of my red. =3= Ill work a bit more on some characters till i have a chance to go get some more.

Things have become really tight as of late with there being now a 100% unemployment rate at my home. Ive added custom stitches back up in my shop. Lots of Pokemon for you Go-ers. Ill be adding some new ready to ship items as well.

Ill be taking custom character badges as well. Be posting more info as soon as i take some pics.
