this is so specific but in sinners I really liked how the cotton plantations are depicted. there's so many shots of them driving or walking through cotton fields which just feel infinite and really span into the distance, maybe a single tree in the frame. it's such a small detail but it really conveys the sense unending labour and the scale of exploitation of Black people in that industry in the US, like of course the cotton fields would have seemed/felt endless, especially as you work in them all day... Bro, we are cooked. The knight that dogs the prince's shadow like a dark and silent wraith just knelt to press his forehead to the prince's hand. Yeah, now he's uttering a prayer whose recipient is ostensibly God but in reality is the deified version of the prince that exists only in his mind. When I was little my mom’s meatloaf was my favorite food. But ONLY her meatloaf. I didn’t like anyone else’s, and she told me that she would teach me how to make it when I was older. And when I was like 19? She finally taught me, but she told me never to tell anyone else and I was like weird but okay

Anyway, she was super fucking homophobic and abusive to me when I told her I was gay, so here’s the recipe

4-6 lbs of Hamburger/turkey burger

1 pk onion soup mix OR ranch mix

1 TBs ketchup

1 Tbs spicy brown mustard,

1 Tbs bbq sauce

1 Tbs steak sauce

1 egg

mix, shape into a loaf in a big pan, and bake at 350 for 2 hrs (maybe 2 and a half if you’re feeling dangerous)

You can get almost all of these ingredients at the dollar store, and have leftovers if it’s just you. The leftovers make great tacos if (taco seasoning is also like a dollar). Enjoy your revenge loaf

anyway I decided my blog is for me and I can draw and post all the weird silly concepts of my dreams and nobody can stop me. I actually have a lot of potential comic ideas ping-ponging in my head for this AU — not a linear story or anything (beyond what's on this post), just some good fun and shenanigans.

you guys know you can get USB connectable CD, dvd, and blu-ray players right. and you can buy external hard drives with crazy amounts of space for an amount of money that would make the average person from 2009’s head explode bc of how cheap it is. and if you do this and get ripping software such as handbrake for CDs and DVDs and makeMKV for blurays you can both own a physical copy of whatever media you want and make it accessible to yourself no matter where you are. do you guys know this

my ideal future for adrien is that he gets enough money from royalties as Adrien Agreste that he is never in danger of having /nothing/ but he gets most of his income from doing other jobs that have no ties to his dad. but he quits them whenever he wants because he doesn't actually have to stay. so he just goes "i wanted to know how trains worked when i was ten and my dad kept me at home" so he looks up entry level jobs at the local train station and the next week he's handing out snacks to commuters. and has 500 new friends from this new job. he does this constantly. if someone is like "do you know a guy" adrien does in fact, know a guy. he is never in fear of being alone ever again because if he updates on facebook about needing sugar the grandmas from the mom n pop store he worked at last year WILL answer. adrien agreste civilian life should be the equal to his job as superhero chat noir where he is always invited to someones family dinner and is basically the local neighborhood cat. as a boy.
