For those who don't know, Rafah Crossing is closed. Meaning Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are technically not allowed to go into Egypt through Rafah Crossing (with exceptions, like holding a foreign passport) so in order to evacuate, Palestinians need to bribe Egyptian border security officials. The standard price used to be about $5000 - 7000 per person but some Palestinians have been told to pay $10,000 per person just to cross the border, forget other expenses like food and boarding.
For a group of people who are enduring genocide and the complete destruction of their homes that money is impossible to raise without the help of fundraising. That and the collapse of the UNRWA is the reason you're seeing so many Gofundmes nowadays. The entire aid system is gone with the exception of local aid organisations that have limited reach.
So if you see a credible fundraiser, please at the very least share it so it can reach more people. This list by @el-shab-hussein is a good place to start.
For Eid, Hussam hired some entertainers and bought some chocolate, biscuits, and flavored milk to put into a goodie bag to help bring a bit of joy to Rafah camp children.
He managed to put together 200 goodie bags for the kids, which you can see being put together in the video! After that, they gathered all the children to enjoy a celebration with music and dancing while also hiring entertainers to help them out.
The kids loved it! Thanks to your donations, you helped put a smile on these children鈥檚 faces, yet again!
[ID: First part of video is of people putting together goodie bags. Second part is various shots of the Eid celebration while they sing songs and a clown helps entertain the kids. At the end they distribute the goodie bags.]

Hi! I am moving my patreon content over to ko-fi, and I will be resuming my sketchbook posts & speedpaint uploads there. It's a bit easier to keep track of my commissions & shop being on the same site, and ko-fi is lighter on extra fees.
I have a sketchbook tier that gives you access to regular sketchbook posts, and a process tier that gives you access to my speedpaint and process videos (along with prev. rewards). I also have a backlog of about 45 archived posts worth of sketchbook files, and 14 posts of speedpaints/process posts from 2018 to 2023 that I am in the process of reuploading.
I try not to personal post very often on here, but if youve followed me for a while you've probably gathered things haven't been good lately. I am in very poor shape mentally after an extremely hard year, and still pretty urgently trying to get out of my current living situation. With art commissions and freelance still being my main & only real accessible source of income right now, I am having to significantly limit the work I can take to be within my current abilities. I'm hoping that this will help ease the amount of other work I have to take on, & help me be able to prioritize moving. Anything right now would help me a ton.
i am sorry for bothering you. but your personal site, is it made with neocities? or is it it's own web domain (is that the right word? i probably missed something from your links that already explained this, sorry). /gen
hi, the domain is the address that points to your website, but I assume you mean hosting, ie where the actual content of the website is managed on and accessed from. I'm currently on a different hosting service than neocities called teacake, but my site was previously hosted on neocities, and I do think it's a good beginner-friendly choice that will probably have everything you need if you're starting out (I mainly moved because I needed a host with more advanced features like PHP support)

Taawon, a Palestinian non-profit, are organizing to distribute suhoor and iftar meals for displaced families in Gaza during Ramadan.
You can donate whatever amount through their donation page but they do have this guide on their page on what your contributions will help them provide.
i will be doing my best to contact people individually but for now i am going to post this update here: my commissions will be closed for the forseeable future, and there is going to be a delay for current commissioners. i have been having an extremely difficult year and am currently dealing with the loss of a parent, i am not currently well enough to work & will need to take a break to recover. please reach out to me if you are a commissioner with any questions. thank you for your understanding
