                 the  bottle  in  her  hands  is  significantly  lighter  than  it  was  an  hour  ago  .  the  thumping  base  of  the  party  below  shakes  the  bed  frame  ,  charlotte  lying  back  on  her  elbows  as  she  takes  her  third  or  was  it  forth  shot  from  the  bottle  of  tito’s  .  her  mind  in  a  haze  ,  french  manicured  fingers  wrap  tighter  around  the  neck  of  the  bottle  as  her  lashes  flutter  downwards  .  despite  the  chaos  below  ,  a  sense  of  calm  washes  over  charlotte  ,  slowly  bringing  herself  to  her  tolerance  level  in  the  hopes  of  drowning  out  her  loud  thoughts  .  the  door  swinging  open  draws  her  attention  ,  charlotte  prepared  to  ask  whoever  it  is  to  leave  as  politely  as  she  can  .  &  while  cece  is  someone  who  manages  to  worm  her  way  beneath  charlotte’s  skin  ,  her  company  at  the  moment  isn’t  exactly  unwelcome  .  sighing  ,  she  holds  out  the  bottle  as  a  temporary  peace  offering  ,  “  now  ,  i  reckon  you’ve  got  to  join  me  since  you’ve  obviously  been  searching  for  me  .  ”  she  giggles  ,  her  usual  icy  demeanor  melting  in  her  inebriated  state  .

                   charlotte  can’t  help  the  smile  stretching  widely  across  her  features  as  she  watches  saskia  with  rapt  attention  .  “  i  can  picture  it  so  vividly  ,  we  could  be  blonde  twins  .  or  perhaps  ,  go  for  a  baby  pink  bob  .  i’ve  always  wanted  to  drastically    change  my  hair  color  without  consequence  .  ”  her  squeals  of  excitement  feed  off  of  saskia’s  energy  ,  “  we  could  travel  the  world  properly  ,  imagine  walking  on  the  street  without  someone  wanting  to  know  who  you’re  dating  .  ”  her  arm  wraps  around  saskia’s  shoulders,  “  sas’  you  always  have  the  best  ideas  ,  i  reckon  i’d  be  lost  without  you  .  when  are  we  becoming  the  new  power  girl  duo  ?  please  tell  me  we  can  leave  tonight  because  i  would  love  nothing  more  than  to  get  away  .  i’m  sure  papa  legba  would  pitch  a  fit  ,  though  .  ”

                  with  her  vlog  camera  in  hand  ,  charlotte  pans  it  so  her  viewers  can  get  a  look  at  the  revolve’s  party  set  up  .  silk  fabric  drapes  her  frame  as  she  walks  around  ,  animatedly  talking  to  the  lobabes  that  would  be  watching  this  video  in  the  future  .    in  the  midst  of  her  excitement  &  honeyed  words  ,  charlotte’s  back  collides  with  someone  else  .  immediately  ,  an  apologetic  smile  brightens  her  feature  ,  regret  on  the  tip  of  her  tongue  .  the  moment  her  gaze  lands  on  sasha  ,  the  smile  on  her  face  becomes  forced  at  best  ,  overdone  &  unable  to  reach  her  eyes  .  the  apology  on  her  lips  dying  as  she  murmurs  ,  “  sasha  ,  darling  .    well  isn’t  this  nice  ,  running  into  you  here  ?  you  look  ,  ”  mocha  hues  give  the  brunette  a  once  over  ,  “  last  season  as  always  .  i  suppose  your  so  called  success  forgot  to  include  a  stylist  .  then  again  ,  there’s  no  accounting  for  taste  .  ”  her  cherry  red  lips  lift  into  a  smirk  ,  downing  the  rest  of  her  glass  in  a  single  sip  .

 charlotte  ‘  lola  ’  may  beaumont  ,  born  in  the  heart  of  the  south  :  tuscaloosa,  alabama  was  treated  like  the  doll  she  resembled,  rosy  cheeks  &  blonde  curls  neatly  tied  with  pastel  pink  bows  –  the  epitome  of  perfection,  spoiled  by  the  riches  of  the  beaumont  name  .

 her  father  ,  a  business  tycoon  raised  to  be  the  ceo  of  the  family’s  company  .   her  mother  ,  a  former  beauty  queen  obsessed  with  the  socially  constructed  concept  of  skin  deep  beauty  .

 her  first  taste  of  fame  had  been  short  lived,  bringing  life  to  the  coined  phase  :  15  minutes  of  fame  .  on  one  of  the  daily  mother  daughter  shopping  dates  ,  charlotte  was  discovered  by  a  producer  looking  for  the  next  big  child  star.  the  news  elated  her  mother  &  at  age  14  ,  the  idea  of  being  a  star  excited  charlotte  .  her  father  took  over  the  location  in  los  angeles  so  the  beaumonts  could  pursue  charlotte’s  new  found  career  path  .

 whenever  someone  brings  up  her  child  star  past  ,  the  fame  no  longer  feels  like  the  pure  attention  she  craves  ,  it’s  tainted  .  so  she  went  seeking  attention  in  other  places,  introducing  herself  to  new  ways  –  partying  &  going  out  ,  easily  fitting  into  the  role  of  good  girl  gone  wild  –  managing  to  build  a  small  following  on  instagram  in  the  process  --  what  caught  papa  legba’s  attention  in  the  first  place  .

 her  antics  were  a  cry  for  attention  from  an  absent  father  who  seems  to  blame  charlotte  for  her  mother’s  affair  .  &  charlotte  is  left  missing  the  days  where  she  was  her  daddy’s  little  girl  with  dolls  aligning  her  shelf  .  but  she’s  not  so  innocent  anymore  since  she’s  hiding  50  mL  bottles  of  vodka   beneath  their  skirts  –  it’s  like  a  metaphor  for  her  personality  .

 i  feel  like  charlotte’s  a  dream  ,  this  whimsical  personality  that  demands  attention  kinda  like  cher  in  clueless  ,  but  you  can  tell  that  there’s  something  off  –  that  her  whole  innocence  isn’t  truly  what  it  seems  .  somewhere  along  the  way  of  going  out  ,  charlotte  wound  up  with  an  addiction  to  liquor  ,  another  secret  of  hers  she  keeps  under  wraps  &  denies  having  .  it’s  not  her  fault  the  burn  of   alcohol  makes  her  feel  something  other  than  the  constant  need  for  attention.  plus  the  stress  &  secrets  of  the  glitterati  only  add  to  her  need  for  an  escape  of  sorts  .  but  she  has  them  to  thank  for  the  success  of  her  youtube  channel  :  lolamont  ,  &  her  high  following  on  instagram.  

in  terms  of  her  career  ,  i  was  inspired  by  tana  mongeau’s  story  times  (  i’m  so  sorry  if  you  dislike  her  !  )  –  they’re  just  super  outrageous,  clickbait  -  like  ,  &  attention  seeking  which  fits  charlotte  so  ???  her  other  career  claim  is  alissa  violet  bc  i  feel  like  her  insta  following  /  yt  vlogs  are  very  reminiscent  of  charlotte  .
