Luxury Isnāt Just Designer Handbags!
Hereās 10 Non-Material Ways You Can Live Lavishly
When we think of luxury, itās often designer bags or high-end shoesābut true elegance transcends material things. Welcome or welcome back to The Black Feminine Society, a blog, sisterhood and brand dedicated to Black women who are on their journey to healing, and elevating in all areas of life the feminine way.
Today will want to give you 10 ways to lavishly invest in yourself, producing a life of inner richness and timeless grace ( & its well deserved!)

Its time to bring softness into your home, offices, and even your cars! For your home try decorating with plush throws, fresh flowers, candlelight, and soothing scents. When it come to the office, whether you work in a cubicle, have a office of your own or a spot in your home because your remote or self employed. Don't underestimate the power of cleanliness, good lighting and some floral or even water sounds. Give your workplace a sense of relaxation and love. Lastly, ladies clean and try aroma therapy in your cars! Every space that consumes your day should feel warm and peaceful. It'll add a touch to your daily routines and even on those off day a when you are rushing and woke up on the wrong side of the bed (it happens)
Tip: Depending on the weather, a change of scenery helps also. Try a cafe or work space on the nicer side of town. Work outside or even early at the beach. A serene environment cultivates peaceāand feels like a loving hug every day.

Schedule moments of quietāearly morning, nature walks, journaling breaksāwhere you just breathe, reflect, and exist without pressure to perform. Embrace these pauses as essential parts of your day, allowing your mind to clear and your thoughts to settle. Use this time to connect with your inner self, to listen to the whispers of your heart, and to cultivate gratitude for the present moment. Let these peaceful intervals recharge your spirit, enabling you to approach your tasks with renewed energy and focus. Remember, it's in these moments of stillness that clarity often emerges, guiding you on your path forward.

I know, We talk about this a lot but itās because Itās so game changing! Slow morning are a must here at BFS. Try to practice on weekends, itās less pressure to start trying to slow down your weekend mornings than during the week. Yes this means donāt sleep in every weekend! Try to wake up and slowly indulge in self care, pray, take a bath instead of a shower, make some coffee or tea, do your skin care, donāt touch your phone until 11 am. Swap doom scrolling with your favorite gospel or motivational speeches playlists while you pour into yourself. Simple rituals feel sumptuous when done with intention.

If you arenāt already a bookworm your approach to reading might be skewed. You may have never been a reader because of school or personal reasons but reading isnāt just fundamental itās a luxury. Try getting a book that teaches you something, read spiritually enriching books. Self care or self help books are always good. Run a bath. Pour a warm herbal tea. These small acts build an abundant inner life.

If you are apart of the discord you know we are big advocates in investing in your fitness and health. Move in ways you loveāpilates, dance, gentle yoga. Stretch, roll muscles, breathe deeper. Honor your vessel as the beautiful temple it is. For motivation, tips an and community we have a space for you in our discord, click HERE to join now.

Rather than constantly buying, savor what you already own. Whether fashion, skincare, or homeware, refine your collection. Focus on creating your capsule wardrobe and invest in things you NEED and donāt become a victim of overconsumption. The minimalistic approach is recommended because not only do you avoid clutter and overspending, itās classic, elegant and most importantly timeless. Later you can add hints of your favorite pieces and items to spice things up.

Just as stated in #6 āEmbrace the āquiet luxuryā aesthetic: timeless silhouettes, soft neutrals, tactile fabrics. A capsule wardrobe is built off of intention. Each piece should be versatile, allowing for multiple combinations that suit various occasions. Focus on quality over quantity, investing in items that will withstand the test of time. Prioritize classic cuts that flatter your body shape and colors that enhance your complexion. Accessories should be minimal yet impactful, adding a touch of personality without overwhelming the overall look. Remember, the goal is to create a cohesive collection that reflects your personal style while maintaining a sense of understated elegance. Consider the longevity of each item, ensuring they can adapt to changing trends without losing their charm. Embrace the art of simplicity, and allow your wardrobe to speak volumes without saying a word.

Stand tall, speak softly, walk slowlyāelegance is a posture. Embody dignified energy even during everyday tasks, and watch your presence transform. As you move through each moment with grace, notice how others respond to your calm demeanor. Allow your confidence to radiate, creating an atmosphere of respect and admiration. Each step becomes a statement, each word a melody, harmonizing with the rhythm of life around you. Embrace the power of poise, and let it guide you to greater heights, enriching not only your journey but also the paths of those who cross your way.
Experience the magic of the queen treatment in action and discover the captivating power of pretty privilege!

Gather with your sisters. If youāre searching for community and sisterhood we have resources like our āThe Ladies Roomā šgroupchat on discord. God is GOOD and always in control. When you know this truth you should live like it. No matter the amount in you bank account, the storms and noise of the world. A simple cup of tea, a compliment from your mirror, a handwritten noteāthese are the moments that breathe life into a feminine legacy. They feel lavish because they feel like you. Always celebrate, youāre alive, you deserve it.
š Final Thoughts
True luxury isnāt about price tagsāitās a mindset. When you treat yourself with kindness, choose depth over flash, and curate beauty around you, you are living lavishly. And that richness radiates outwards.

Acquire Assets That Will Pay for Your Lifestyle šš
š½š
Thereās nothing wrong with enjoying luxury, pampering, and easeāas long as youāre not paying for it with your labor f̲o̲r̲e̲v̲e̲r̲.
The goal isnāt just to make more money; itās to make your money work so that your lifestyle is covered by assets, not just hustle.
Letās break this down with a real example.
Common Self-Maintenance & Lifestyle Expenses
Hereās what many people are spending monthly (or biweekly) on self-maintenance and lifestyle comfort:
* Housekeeper ā 4x per month at $250 each = $1,000/month
* Nails (manicure/pedicure) ā Every 3 weeks = $200/month
* Hair (natural/silk press, etc.) ā Monthly = $200/month
* Eyelashes (fill-ins) ā Biweekly at $80 each = $160/month
* Facials or skincare treatments ā Monthly = $150/month
* Massages or body contouring ā Monthly = $220/month
* Waxing (brows, underarms, etc.) ā Monthly = $95/month
* Gym/Yoga/Pilates Membership ā Monthly = $310/month
* Monthly Shopping (clothing/shoes) ā Monthly = $3,500/month
* Dining Out or Brunch ā Weekly at $200 each = $800/month
Total Lifestyle Spend: Approximately $6,635/month
Now hereās the key mindset shift:
Instead of cutting everything out and living in miseryā¦
Build a portfolio that pays for it.
Use Income-Producing Assets to Fund Your Lifestyle
Letās say you acquire a š°š¼šŗšŗš²šæš°š¶š®š¹ šæš²š®š¹ š²ššš®šš² š»š¼šš² that pays you $12,000 per month-in passive income.
That one asset could easily:
* Cover your entire self-care and lifestyle budget
* Fund at least some of your monthly living expenses
* Or leave you with $5,000+ to reinvest or save
Now your self-maintenance, your housekeeper, your brunches, even your gym membershipāare all funded by a cash-flowing asset, not your 9-5 or active labor.
The Wealthy Donāt Stop Spending⦠They Change What Pays for It
They reposition their money.
They acquire assets first, then spend second.
The real flex isn't the facial or the fresh set of nailsāItās having something behind the scenes silently paying for it every month while you sleep.
Donāt just build wealth to saveāitās OK to enjoy your life. But make the smart financial pivot:
Acquire assets that will pay for your lifestyle so you donāt have to.
Let your money treat you the way you treat it with respect, care, and intention.

financial knowledge for the girlies š¤ššø

Develop a budget: Creating and sticking to a budget can help you better understand your income and expenses, and learn how to prioritize your spending.
Save regularly: Saving money is crucial for achieving financial stability. You can set up automatic transfers to a savings account so you won't be tempted to spend the money.
Pay off debt: High-interest debt can hinder your financial progress. Make a plan to pay off your debts and focus on high-interest debts first.
Invest wisely: Investing can help your money grow over time. Look for low-cost index funds, which can give you broad exposure to the market at a low cost.
Understand compound interest: Compound interest is the interest you earn on interest. By investing consistently, the power of compound interest can help you build wealth over time.
Research before making big financial decisions: Before making a major decision, such as buying a house or car, research different options and weigh the costs and benefits.
Learn from your mistakes: Every failure or setback can teach you something valuable. Use these experiences to inform your future financial decisions.
Get professional advice: Seek advice from a financial advisor if you're unsure about your financial decisions. They can provide guidance on investments, retirement planning, and tax strategies.
Be aware of scams: Scammers can take advantage of financial illiteracy. Be cautious when someone offers an investment that's too good to be true.
Continuous learning: Financial knowledge is constantly changing, so stay informed by regularly reading financial news, books, and attending classes or webinars.

executive dysfunction is legitimately physically uncomfortable. iāll be trapped between two things, weirdly caught on how-much-time-it-might-take-me. i take hours worried im going to take hours doing things. iāll sit on the floor for the entire day, caught up in the middle of not-doing the chores i actually doĀ want to be doing.
& the amount of mental energy that goes into it. & the legitimate amount of anger and discomfort and self-hate. is notĀ ābeing lazyā.Ā itād be a lot less work if i didnāt have to fight myself to just get up and do it.Ā
i just need you to understand itās not effortless. itās never effortless. itās notĀ āokay let me just get up and finally start doing this.ā itās more like. i am slamming my foot on the pedal but the car is in neutral and nothing is moving. itās more like shouting instructions into a dying telephone. itās more like being trapped in a small electric box, and someone who hates me is administering shocks.Ā
im trying. im trying. please help me get up.
