It looks like we might get to see one more episode of Dick Turpin following the cancellation of the second series. I hope Noel has made a full recovery from whatever the issue was.

In a 2008 interview with the Daily Echo, Noel talked about being a big brother!

Noel: “There’s eight years between me and Michael, so I was always more parental towards him and I’d be like “Now, are you all wrapped up warm, have you eaten today, did you wash behind your ears?” And he’d be like “Oh, leave me alone.”

Noel has posted a video for his Bake off co presenter Alison Hammond’s 50th birthday today. As far as I am aware it is his first appearance since the news about the cancellation of Dick Turpin broke, that was apparently due to an issue with Noel’s health. Noel’s representative has confirmed he will be filming Bake off in the Spring.

British press are reporting the second series of The Completely Made of Adventures of Dick Turpin has been cancelled mid production. Reports are very conflicting, some suggestions that Apple TV has pulled it as a cost cutting measure while others say Noel didn’t turn up for filming after Christmas, one report worryingly mentions illness, but no more details. I can’t believe Noel would walk away, it impacts so many people including his brother. It is very odd, they had been filming in Cornwall back in October, a lot of money would have been spent on the series so far. Presumably more details will emerge. I hope all involved are ok.
