Why Jack is key to “This Is Us”

Ever since the beginning of the show, many fans and I have been trying to piece together how Jack died. We’ve been given little clues along the way that can be strung into many theories and I think its really fun to think “oh i’ve figured it out,” but then the writers throw something else out there and then its like well back to the drawing board for now. We’re piecing the puzzle together one episode at a time. Once we do find out how Jack dies it will bring closure to what so many fans are wanting to know, but we also lose a part of Jack. We lose the idea of him being alive, the theory that he could still be out there somewhere because for me I’ve always hoped for that. He will surely be alive in spirit through his children. We can also move on to fully focus on how Jack lived. When he dies it will be sad and tragic, but it will be scripted beautifully. It will leave us speechless. Maybe we aren't ready for Jack to die yet, but I will continue to be amazed by how he lived his life, the way he put 100% effort in to everything he did, and he always tried his best for his wife and children. He tried to give them a better life than the one he had. Jack was a good man and he will surely live on after his death... in fact, he already has.
