Finally managed to get myself to the gym this morning and do more work than just sitting on the bike. Did 6x3 defect deadlifts at 45kg, although this one in the video is 50kg but it hurt my stomach to much to stick to. First part of this video is me enjoying the workout music. Second part is me doing DT for the 4th time. Last two times I did it at 18kg today I did it at 25kg. I needed this win! With how ill I've been feeling these past two months, and how much my progress has slowed. I needed something to make me feel better about myself. Managed to get a new 1RM PB in my bench press, 47kg which is 5kg more than my previous. I really enjoyed 20.1 I scaled it to 15kg as I knew this would hurt my stomach, but still enjoyed it. Managed all reps, just, ish. Also I was totally over dramatic when the WOD finished 🤣 . . Quite enjoyed today's workout. 50 hang squat cleans. The first video are my warm up reps and I went very very deep and spinal 🤣 but the actual workout went better. It hurt though, a lot. After a horribly painful couple of weeks I'm trying to get back into squatting and hinge type movements in the gym. Yesterday we did a 10 min EMOM of 5 overhead squats. I tried keeping it a bit light at 18kg so I didn't aggravate my stomach. I quite like overhead squats so glad I did it. . After we did 3 rounds for time 25 box jumps 25 DB snatches . I did it in 7:28 I started with box jumps but the impact seemed to really hurt my stomach so I changed to step ups. And did 10kg DB snatches which felt light. I have to admit I've been feeling a bit bit deflated recently. Earlier on my memories it showed me training for a strong woman competition. I was at my fittest, healthiest and happiest. But recently I feel like I've gotten backwards. I've put on weight, my progress in the gym feels like it's stopped, and my health has been not its best. . Today for the first time, I was actually too scared to go to the gym so I cancelled. Dumbbell snatches and HSPUs, two of my favourite movements. But because of how my endo/bowel/god-knows-what has been recently, I was too scared to go. I couldn't even bring myself to go and super scale and adapt it, in fear of making myself worse. And I hate it. I feel like all the progress I've made the past two years is just going down the drain and I'm not sure what to do. I'm just a bit lost. . Tomorrow is buddy WOD so I will make sure to go to that, as I love a good buddy WOD.
