Shen Siblings AU Happy Times:

The other Shen Siblings keep calling Chen Xuan "Shen Xuan". He corrects them at first but eventually he's just like 'yeah ok fine I guess I'm Shen Xuan.'

Shen Yuan and Meimei have a standing one-two punch that works on their brothers all the time. SY pouts and says on a hurt voice, "You're upsetting Meimei!" Meimei then bursts into tears on command. They did this in their first lives too, it also always worked there. (Meimei can of course turn her tears on SY as well.)

At some sort of inter-sect event the OPM sees SY and SQQ bickering (it's their love language) and is like, "There's two of them??" And YQY is like, "Oh no, there's four of them," as Da-ge and Meimei turn up to break up the bickering.

I haven't settled on Meimei's exact demonic characteristics (I feel like she should have feathers?) but when anyone brings them up the Shen brothers are just like, "no she doesn't," "that's normal," and other vehement denials. Later on they do the same thing with LBH- he's eventually adopted into the family as Shen Yuan's boyfriend - SQQ tried to veto this but was outvoted.

yueliujiu: sqq clutches his opened fan, glaring at jgy from above his nose. his mouth is very slightly open, as if muttering shit talk. lqg has an arm around sqq’s back and a hand on sqq’s wrist, trying in vain to calm him down. while used to sqq causing trouble, he is not used to being the one to calm things down. beside lqg, yqy is being his happy smiley self.

One of my favorite plots for the Shen brothers it's when everyone sees Shen Yuan and be like "oh, he's so cute and soft and pretty, he could never be that bitch Shen Qingqiu's older/younger/twin brother", except Shen Yuan hears that person call his brother a bitch and words come out of his mouth that make that person regret waking up in the morning, and humiliates them in such a disgusting way that no one ever dares to insult Shen Qingqiu in front of his brother... or doubt that they are brothers
