eteratekoha:
“I do what I need to to get the job done.” Etera answered. Etera had been part of many, many wars, but he hadn’t come out into the forest to hunt down the fleeing as sport. “A spell…” Etera frowned slightly, wondering why he would have been brought him if not for a greater purpose. “No.” Etera answered, passing him an incredulous look for Percy’s words before stalking towards him, “I’ll get you to somewhere safe.” He answered instead, with little room for argument it seemed as he started through the trees.
He respected Etera’s motivations even if he wouldn’t agree with where it brought him. Percy didn’t know why the spell had been done or by who, but he had a few ideas. Even though Etera had said no, the way he moved towards him was clearly with purpose. “And where might that be?” he asked, moving to fall into step beside the demon. Percival had already scoped out the area, and it wasn’t in the best of shapes. Once it was safe enough, he would do his best to get away but he wasn’t going to leave others behind to get to safety himself.

barrywakefield:
“This is better,” Barry said quickly because he did not wish being a slave on anyone and if Percy was spared that experience in this life, then that was all that mattered. “This is much better,” he grinned.
“T-That’s…” the slave could feel his face getting hot and his eyes started to sting. “That’s a really long time,” Barry sniffed and clung back, his fingers tightening in the back of Percy’s shirt. He never expected someone to be willing to wait for him like that. It almost felt like he did not deserve it, especially when he did not have to put in the time himself.
A soft chuckle escaped him. If he had to, he was able to take care of Barry, but the man was already in good hands so he didn’t have to worry about him very much. All he worried about was how he’d become a spirit and rectifying that issues, or at least assisting him on getting a better grasp of his abilities.
His smile faltered when he saw the tears welling in the corner of his eyes. Percy hugged him close, having a small idea what Barry might have been feeling in that moment. It was strange to be cared for so deeply, but Barry had cared enough to find him in the past, so he made sure to find him in the future. “I would wait for you as long as you needed me to. You gave me hope for a life better than what I had. I can never thank you enough for that.” When he had left his coven behind, he didn’t feel like he belonged anywhere but he knew he belonged here, with Barry, and other people he’d come to care for, and cared for him in return.

barrywakefield:
“It is.” A smile spread across Barry’s face when Percy acknowledged it and he moved his arms around the raven’s shoulders in return. It felt like they had been through so much in the last week – to Barry – but it would have been so much more for the other man.
While their kisses had been softer and more tentative before all this, knowing that Percy had stuck around for two hundred years seemed to break down whatever remaining hesitation Barry had. He tilted his head to deepen the kiss as he poured the affection he felt for the man into it.
“No… It isn’t,” he chuckled as they briefly broke apart so that he could answer. “You were never a librarian for one…” If Barry could guess correctly, Percy had never been a slave in this timeline while he waited for Barry to return from the spell. “Thank you. For waiting…”
As the kiss deepened, Percy let out a soft hum, enjoying the feeling of such affection. He didn’t want to let him go, even when they broke apart. “Wasn’t I? I must have been a slave then. What a missed opportunity.” He rather liked being the librarian. Nobody could force him to do anything and he got to spend as much time with his books as he wanted. Plus, he was getting paid for it.
“Of course I would. You put yourself in danger to find me. I would wait 200 years more for you.” Percy kissed Barry’s forehead, holding him close. Now he had a good excuse to hold onto him, knowing that history could change again and he could lose him.

The spell was almost instantaneous when it came to an end. Barry had been talking to Percy one moment when his body started fading. He believed it was one of the many times when his powers decided to go a bit haywire and had assured Percy as such, but when he opened his eyes next, the spirit was back in Krovs in what could only be the present day.
“Percy!” he gasped because he had left the other man without saying a proper goodbye and it now two hundred years had passed. Barry started running in the direction of library because the raven usually surrounded himself with books and instinct dictated that it seemed like the best place to start.
He burst into the library rather loudly and drew a lot of attention to himself for which he quickly apologised for and ran past the many shelves. When he finally found Percy again, the man looked different. Something had changed in this time. There was a different collar around his neck and he was… shelving?
“Percy?” he whispered, a mix of emotions roiling in his chest as he stepped up to the other man. “Has it been two hundred years?”
It was another day to him, but his intuition was telling him that something about it was different. So far, he had been unable to figure out what, but when Barry came bursting through the door, he got a couple of ideas. A smile crossed his face as he saw the spirit approach, although when that smile wasn’t immediately returned, he became worried. “Barry?” he asked in response, setting his books down and taking a step closer in return.
“Ah, so this is the moment you left to come to the past,” he remarked, the information clicking into place easily. “Yes, it has been about two hundred years.” Closing the space between them, he slipped his arms around Barry’s waist and pulling him even closer. “Now I can tell you thank you for finding me. Because of that, I got to look forward to coming here to meet you.”
As a reward, Percy gave him a soft kiss, a hand moving up to cup his face as he did. “You’ll have to tell me what is different from before. I can’t imagine it’s all the same.”

Just like in the past – Barry’s past – the kiss did wonders to calm his nerves and the spirit visibly relaxed into it with a sigh. That was nice. Even if they were in the middle of a war zone.
“Yes. Please… I’ll be waiting for you,” he smiled, glad that Percy believed this so quickly. “Even if I might not know you yet.” It felt strange now to know that perhaps this was what drew them to each other in two hundred years, but Barry did not wish for any of it to change. He followed the other man through the village and down into the bank where there were a few others seeking refuge.
“Good,” he said as they sat down and he hugged Percy close for a long moment before he drew away. “I’m glad that I got to meet you like this…” Outside the confines of the castle and before the weight of Krovs weighed on the raven’s shoulders.
Settling down on the floor, he let Barry curl up against him, arm around him. “Is that so? How did we meet before?” The question had been an innocent one, but he unsuspecting. The man began to tell him everything, how they had met, what the castle would become, the thinks that had somehow worked between them. He even told him he managed to upset someone enough for them to get someone to bury him alive. Hopefully, he could avoid that part, but he liked the idea of having someone like Barry who cared about him and he could care for in return.
They stayed together over the next week, getting to safety, until Barry disappeared, seemingly back to his own time. But Percival would not forget about him, not even for a second in the next 200 years.

eteratekoha:
Etera lowered his weapon slightly as he recognised the man who stepped out from behind the trees. “Percy.” The ghoul responded, though it sounded a little more like a scold, however much softer than Etera would have normally spoken to the average person. “I thought you might have stayed away.” Etera frowned and set the base of his spear into the snow. “It’s my job.” He answered with a small shrug, “I see you couldn’t stay away and keep yourself safe.” The ghoul countered, though he didn’t blame him for wanting to fight at all. It would be for his freedom after all, and the freedom of thousands of others. “You’re not safe here, Percy.”
“I was trying to,” he replied earnestly. He hadn’t wanted to be anywhere near the fighting, and especially not this castle. How he got here, he didn’t know, but now he had to get away. “Do you enjoy it? Killing the faes and the witches that opposed you?” He already knew the answer. It hadn’t taken him long to learn that it wasn’t about the enemy for Etera. “I know I’m not. I didn’t come here by choice. Some spell drew me here. Last I knew, I was still in Austria.” Percy hadn’t tried any long distance teleporting, needing more time and resources than he had here for that. “Are you going to capture me, then?”

barrywakefield:
“Alright… During the day then,” Barry nodded, happy to follow Percy’s plans. He was more experienced in such matters, even two hundred years in the past. Barry was but a simple artist who had been throw into this fantastical world.
“You’ll have to get away too. You have to come with me,” the poltergeist pleaded. He had half a mind to tell Percy they cannot risk bringing too many lest they be caught themselves, but Barry knew that it was his fear talking and if Percy could be brave, then so could he.
Despite how insistent he was, Barry seemed very happy to follow his lead. It was rather odd. Did this man really trust him this much? Percival stopped, facing the other as he spoke. He searched the man’s face, seeing the intense emotions that went with his pleaded words. Offering him a gentle smile, he leaned in and stole a soft kiss.
“If you’re in my future, I promise you that I’m not going to let anything prevent me from finding you.” It was strange and incredibly heartwarming to be cared about in this way. Whatever he did to deserve Barry’s affection, he hoped to do it again. “We’ll worry about tomorrow tomorrow, okay? Stay close.” Holding on tightly to his hand, Percy returned to leading him through the village until they found the bank in question. With a bit of precognition, they were able to find their way down to the vault, clearly not the only ones who thought of the same idea. Once they were there, he took a seat and gestured for Barry to do the same. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”

barrywakefield:
The familiar hand on his face was comforting and Barry leaned into it despite himself. “I… I hope so,” he said softly to cover the raven’s hand with his own. Percy still had no idea who he is, but the man’s presence was still comforting and the spirit’s shoulders sagged in relief.
Barry followed after Percy when the man started leading them away. “I-It’s not just that. That castle… Krovs. It’s where we meet, but it’s not a good place. We need to get as far away from here as we can.” Especially if they were hunting everyone now.
Barry looked incredibly sweet as he leaned into the touch and he could see why he would get close to him sometime in the future. How did such a sweet man get thrown into the middle of all this? It was beyond dangerous and he knew he would take care of him.
This castle was where they would meet? Renaming it he could understand, but what would they turn it in to? “We can’t get very far tonight, it’s too dangerous. It will be safer during the day.” Although he didn’t know this village, he focused his senses in until he was able to locate it. “You’ll want to get far away from here. We can try to get as many people away as possible.”

barrywakefield:
“I… You know me,” Barry tried again, a crestfallen look in his eyes. It was not the first time someone had forgotten who he was. The spirit had come across a few slaves and Krovs staff he recognised who had no idea who he was. As much as Barry knew, he had travelled through time and there were some who remembered it and some who did not.
“We’re…” he started, his mouth opening before he closed it again. “We’re friends.” At the very least. “We’re friends in the future. In your future. My future’s happening right now.” It made sense because Barry had watched a lot of time travel movies, but had Percy? It is really weird having to explain it for real. “W-Where can we go?” Barry did not think that there was anywhere in the area that was truly safe. “We need to stay away from the castle!”
The man seemed very determined and confident in the words, even if he looked sad about how they were being received. He could feel it, he could feel the sincerity in what the man was saying. “Barry,” he repeated, making sure to properly commit it to memory. He wasn’t sure how he could know what happens in the future, but it felt almost like a prophecy, like they would be friends and they would be close.
Reaching up, he cupped Barry’s cheek as he committed his facial features to memory. “If we’re friends, then you must be very important to me.” As it stood now, he didn’t consider anybody a friend no matter how well he knew them. Perhaps Barry was special, which would explain how heartbroken he looked that Percy didn’t remember him. “You’re right on that. Considering this village is on the outskirts of the fae castle, their bank is probably reinforced and secure. We can go there.” Percy slipped his hand into Barry’s. He was going to protect him now, with everything he had. “We should hurry. It won’t be long before they come hunting.”

eteratekoha:
The war was over and while most of the Te Koha warriors had taken the chance to regroup, Etera had wandered into the nearby forest again. He had noticed vampires venturing through there in the passing hours in search of those species who had fought against them, to capture them as their likely slaves, or just for blood sport to pass the time. While they had fought on the side of the vampires, with the majority of their tribe back at home being pure Djinn, should the motion for slavery castles pass, they would now be at risk if they could not come up with an agreement.
The ghoul moved easily through the trees, one hand closed around a sharp spear. There was streaks of dark blood across his face and chest and etched into his knuckles. He was nearing the outskirts where he could see across the vast expanse of snow ahead, the small peaks of buildings. Hearing the crack of broken twigs from somewhere behind him, Etera turned quickly, shadowy tendrils snaking down from the fingertips of his free hand. “Come out.” The ghoul demanded.
@percivalweiss
Percy was doing a scout of the area, seeing what the vampiric forces were doing and if there were any folks who still needed help getting away from the overtaken castle. It seemed most had gotten away by this point, either collecting in the village or traveling further away. He was set to head back when he felt a sensation, one he had come to know meant an aggressive vampire was nearby. He miss-stepped, a horrid calculation on his part, and dry twigs crushed under his boots. Fuck.
There was no chance he could outrun a vampire, so he had a better chance if he faced them head-on. As he stepped out from behind the trees and made eye contact, he recognised the man immediately. “Etera.” He wasn’t nearly as worried, knowing that their prior meeting might be enough to get him off easy, but he was still prepared if the ghoul wanted to fight. “I see you’ve been doing what you do best.”

@percivalweiss
Once Barry had mostly gotten over his fear of his new surroundings, he decided that he needed to set out to look for others. Surely he was not the only one being affected by this craziness. Everyone he had met so far were behaving as though this were normal and it reminded Barry of the time when he first arrived at Krovs and believed it all to be a very elaborate and immersive piece of theatre. Those beliefs did not last long and he had to tell himself that this was the same.
His invisibility was currently cooperating with him and he made use of it to move around the village, unbeknownst to those he passed along the way. Krovs Town looked so different in the past, but there were still some things that remained the same. He scanned the faces of people passing by, hoping to find someone he knew when his feet decided to take him down a diverging path. Barry’s intuition rarely if ever failed him and he found himself walking down one of the village streets he and Percy had walked down at Christmas and the spirit started to wonder where the raven was after that thought hit him.
“Percy!” he breathed because it seemed as though the man had materialised in front of him when he rounded the corner and he was dressed in some very period appropriate clothing. Barry turned visible in the next second and all but ran up to the raven, glad and relieved to be seeing a familiar face. “Percy! I found you! It’s me. Barry. Do you know who I am?”
That fact that he was here, at the epicenter of the war, when he should be safe in Austria was intensely infuriating and unsettling to him. It had to be one hell of a summoning spell, and he didn’t want to meet whoever had done it. At the very least, he could help protect what was left of the village and its inhabitants. In this situation, he felt it was necessary to utilize his precognition to search for anyone hiding that could use some extra attention.
His active powers alerted him immediately to the approaching figure, but there was no sense of malice or ill-intent. What was truly surprising was this unknown man knowing his name. Percival looked him up and down, doing his very best to place him but coming up short. “Forgive me, but I don’t think I do. However, it seems you know me. How is that?” Even though his intuition told him this man wasn’t a threat, that didn’t mean he wasn’t suspicious of him. “We should get you somewhere safe, quickly.”

Second War event details
Percival had specifically left his coven for the purpose of not fighting for their ideals when they sometimes don’t match his own. Although he would agree with this war, he stayed with his choices and purposefully did not fight in the war. He did, however, attempt to protect every human or whoever needed assistance. He will be in Omyakon village.
Thread/plot suggestions:
those who fought with the faes and are upset at him for not fighting
antagonistic vampires enjoying their win
non-vampires trying to make plans to get somewhere far away and safe
anyone who remembers everything at Krovs to potentially try to remind him or get his help staying safe

hideaway
eteratekoha:
“Would it be accepted?” Etera asked in return, though Percy’s next words already told him that it would be. “I don’t think that’ll be needed.” The demon wanted to point out that it was the least he could do after his departure, but he wasn’t sure bringing it up again would do much. “You could just humour me that you need my protection instead.” Etera lightly teased, his fingers brushing idly against the back of the other mans neck. “Pretend that I could do you far more good than any of your spells.”
*
“I do, unless you want me to be in your debt?” he teased softly, reaching up to brush back some of Etera’s unruly hair. The brush of fingers on the back of his neck made him feel like the words were far more romantic than Etera had intended them to be. Leaning up, he pressed their lips together, linger there for a long moment. “I do need you, Etera.”

“She sounds sweet,” Barry laughed as he was extremely warmed by the image of Percy dancing with an elderly neighbour.
“Oh, good. I was starting to think that I might have to compete with her for your attention,” he teased before leaning down to press a soft kiss against the raven’s lips in one of those rare moments of initiation.
*
“She was, I would like to imagine she was my grandma sometimes.” He was happy to talk about it more when Barry seemed like he was enjoying the idea. He didn’t get a chance to respond, instead focusing on kissing him back softly, enjoying the fact Barry had kissed him first. “Careful, you kiss like that all the time and I might never let you go.”

hemitekoha:
“It would be either,” he admitted. For tonight though, it was Christmas and he didn’t want to think about things like feelings. Glancing towards where Percy was pointing, he saw the castle doctor glaring towards them. “Please don’t tell me you’re scared of the baby vamp?” he teased, waving to the varcolac. Hemi didn’t know much about him other than the little bits of information shared around the council. He did know that they were an omega so the ghoul didn’t really think they could cause much harm.
Hemi was almost offended and scoffed in response. “I’ve been to a nightclub before, you definitely don’t have to be sophisticated to dance.” In fact, some people could have been more sophisticated and saved everyone else the horror of watching them. Once Percy’s hand was in his, he walked them backwards until they were amongst the rest of the dances. “Just don’t step on my toes,” he teased. With one arm wrapped around the raven’s waist, he began turning them in slow circles, moving in time to the soft waltz playing.
“Back when we first got to know each other, you came to hang out in the library with me so you didn’t have to think about it.” He was always happy to be that support system for him. “Baby vamp or not, he’s still a master who’s jealous that I live with his alpha mate.” Plus he was a slave and not exactly meant to fight against the masters, even if they were threatening him subtly.
Of course dancing wouldn’t mean the type for use in a ballroom to Hemi. He gave a small laugh. It didn’t really matter to him how they danced, it was just an excuse to stay close to him. “No promises,” he hummed, happily leaning into him and putting a hand on his shoulder. They moved easily and Percy unintentionally rested his head on his shoulder.

Cuddle Time
Carter read the text and got busy fixing snacks and food for them. He didn’t know what was going on but something didn’t feel right. Lovell was avoiding him ever since heat week and now his claim was acting standoffish. He really hoped his mate wasn’t fucking with Percy but he knew his mate was the jealous type. He grabbed blankets and pillows to stack onto the couch and lit some candles around the living room to set a mood for a cozy movie night. He had a stack of movies they could watch on the coffee table. He finished up the food and poured them drinks as he waited for Percy to make his way back to the apartment.
@percivalweiss
He probably should have told Carter what had been going on but it was kind of too late now. Now, he was going to have to tell him what it had all culminate to. Luckily, he was feeling better thanks to Barry and Etera. Was he nervous to tell Carter what had happened? Of course he was, but only because he didn’t want to make the mate bond between him and Lovell awkward.
Stepping through the door, he saw the set up Carter had created and immediately smiled wide. “You really went all out,” he commented as he crossed the room and proceeded to make himself comfortable. “I could get used to this.”
