I'm guessing this is an American blog, right? That explains the immature approach to LGBT issues. Seriously, do people like you guys even know how badly the neopronouns are hurting gay and trans people in other parts of the world? How far back the US's hyper-liberal crap has set back our rights in OTHER countries? Please consider someone other than yourself for 2 seconds, thanks. Serious question: what's with the weird pronouns? I transitioned 15 years ago and calling a Trans person "they" was just as bad as calling them an f-slur. Is it just a need to be as different as possible or..? Because honestly, if you want to be different in the queer community, just be a polite, level-headed person. We seem to have less and less of them in the community with each passing year. The neopronouns are just kinda insulting to trans folks tbh, it's not cool or edgy to appropriate us.

I love asks like this that bold facedly assume that because one expresses themselves non-normatively, it means they are a dirty liar who lies and has just been PRETENDING to be trans to their friends, family, medical providers, and general community, etc. For... oh look, over 10 years now.

Culturally, gendered pronouns are ways to express to others, and to self confirm for some, ones gender identity/presentation. It is not hard, in my opinion, to reason out how someone with a non-normative relationship with gender would use "weird" pronouns. Time moves on and opinions change and new ideas and ideals are relayed through communities as they grow and develop. Im sorry a twenty something from texas makes you feel like your transness is being appropriated, but in the end were just trans in different ways. Im sure most tran men wouldnt be comfortable using my more out there pronoun sets, just like i may feel stagnated if people only ever used he/him for me or if people used they/them for me.

Maybe instead of being wildly passive agressive and bad faith on anon, you can be the adult you claim to be and make some half hearted attempt to listen to the people you disagree withs reasonings an perspectives. God knows we have to listen to yours.
