this this this. i love reading box-era deadpool as having an OSDD (a partially dissociated identity, for the singlets following along at home.) the boxes have just got more of him in them than schizophrenic hallucinations or fully separated alters (like the moon knight system) would have.

the way wade and the boxes antagonize each other and play off each other, it's honestly a lot like me and my alters when we have internal dialogue. and that's rare to see in fiction, someone talking to their alters the way i do. it's a lot of the reason i love him as a character.

I'd love to see fanfictions that get more into the fact that Deadpool had DID (his boxes). there's not enough characters that have DID and other similar disorders that are often heavily stigmatized, and Deadpool canonically having DID is a great way to have a loved character start to de stigmatize the disorder.

anyways I just love fanfictions that include and show characters disabilities and disorders, like Clint's hearing and Matt's blindness and Tony's Anxiety + PTSD, and I think Wade's is often brushed over as him being just weird and eccentric (don't get me wrong, he is, but the boxes are DID)

like a solid 60% of weird fandom tropes were invented by women who needed slightly more avant garde ways to fuck spock.... wanting to fuck spock is in many ways a load bearing pillar of fandom like if u took it away the source code would just break theres like a molecule of wanting to fuck spock or reaction to everyone wanting to fuck spock within the heart of fanfic all fanfiction is about wanting to fuck spock except fanfic about wanting to fuck spock which is about women in stem

I really dislike the fanfiction trope of all women characters existing to encourage the male characters to “stop being idiots” and “just tell each other they feel” 1) because it’s reductive and makes women accessories to the lives of men and 2) in real life most people are pretty negatively interested in others love lives and are more likely to tell you to break up
