Guild Wars 2 is one of the most vibrant and social MMOs out there currently. This is simply a log of all the adventures I have been up to, from a new player to a full-fledged veteran. Welcome to the 'Tyrian Chronicles' of Amasia!

Trading Post Shenanigans...
I have been trying to get to the third Abaddon's Shrine for 10-15 minutes in the first chapter of the Level 80 personal story. My god, all those white-dot trails are evidence enough of my struggles. This is also my second attempt, and honestly TIL my patience is lower than a spoilt house-cat. Underwater Tyria may be beautiful but I am more of a land guy if anything.
On the other hand, I have learnt of the beauty that is the Trading Post. I have gone and unlocked practically every common dye (which cost me a whooping 2g), uncommon dye, a fair few armour skins, novelty transformations, and minis. I really did not expect unlocking all of that to be this easy, but hey, I am not complaining. Spending may have gone a little over budget though...
Finally, introducing my third character: Andrea Knutdottir. She's a Norn Mesmer who may be adept enough at the Hunt, but her calling lies at illusionary magic.

'Woman in the Dunes' - Tessa Salmaic
These screenshots took a while to obtain with the right positioning under the falling sands of Dry Top, while waiting for the correct raptor idle animation. I wasted a lot of gold buying skins for weapons and armour (not realising I could not use them). Eventually, after around 50 gold spent, I ended up with my first ever outfit that I am pretty happy with. Guess I am finally playing Fashion Wars 2, huh?
That bit of the hat that clips out of the shield through the back on the third screenshot irks me a lot though. But I cannot for the life of me re-take that photo, would require far too much time dedication. I feel like I have a knack for good shots, but not for style haha!

After a long six months wait, the Path of Fire + Heart of Thorn expansions are finally on sale! I was basically staring at the countdown timer all day, so the moment it was out, bam, my credit card was out slammed on the desk. No longer F2P, lads!
Given that I was a hundred hours in, I thought I basically knew everything there was to the game. That is... until I got hit by so many notifications and new systems right off the bat. I like the fact there's Mastery Rank, because it lets me work towards a more quantifiable goal (which kind of got diminished the moment I hit Level 80).
I HAVE to mention. My god, I LOVE the Raptor. I think I spent an hour just running around Lion's Arch, it's that beautiful. I cannot believe I spent a hundred hours WALKING. Never again.
Furthermore... *drum roll*...
Introducing my second main character, 'Princess of the Night' Tessa Salmaic! As an Engineer with her roots in the Krytan nobility at Divinity's Reach, she is a confident woman who lets absolutely nobody walk over her. More on this character will be coming up soon!
There's far too much expansion content. This was just the first impressions, so more on this later.

Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure, the 4th Expansion has been announced today, allowing people to finally visit Wizard's Tower at Kessex Hills in the town of Garenhoff.
Since the release of GW2, players had been wondering why this area could not be visited, as it extends onto the original Guild Wars 1 lore. Many theories exist as to its contents, but I suppose players will finally be able to find out.
Right at the trailer's release, the zone of Wizard's Fief has been filled with tourists gawking at the tower, veterans and new players alike. Interestingly, NPC residents of the town complain about all the newfound interest, giving more life to the situation!

Tyria March [EU] and Concert by [MUSE].
The 'Walk' is an annual two-day community held-event that last for about three hours each. It begins at the Field of Fallen in Lion's Arch, stretching all the way to Soren Draa in Metrica Province, right before the portal into Rata Sum.
Before starting the walk, participants usually engage in concerts held by musical guilds as a warm-up. At the very end, there may be several after-parties and additional events. As it has been held successively in many previous years, there are now traditions attributed with the walk. One such example is greeting Aid Worker Sya.
It is generally acknowledged that this is the biggest community originated event that current exists in GW2, occurring at the end of June right near the end of Dragon's Bash.

Unskilled and Afraid [BAD] Naked Asura Run 'Snowman Race!'
The first of special events that was held by the guild. All participants, for the sake of fairness, were required to create a brand new Asura Warrior. They would consume a Snowman tonic and race from the Soren Draa Waypoint to Ebonhawke.
Everyone would have only 14 Snowman Tonics, and would lose if they ran out. Additionally, any deaths would mean re-starting in the first waypoint of the current map! Brawling was encouraged, and the four winners would be given a free Commander/Catmander Tag.
