the plot of the secret history is basically bunny picks his nose and eats it wide in the open and everyone in the classics group hates him for it but everyone in the rest of the world is like "wow what a cool dude idc if he picks his nose and eats it" and richard who also picks his nose and eats it sees the way the classics group reacts to this so he swears to never pick his nose and eat it in front of them, and then we learn that it's only henry who despises when people pick their nose and eat it and that charles camilla and francis also pick their nose and eat it but they don't know that everyone else does so they hide it desperately and henry's like "well bunny picks his nose and eats it so I think we should kill him" and everybody else, terrified that if they objected henry would kill them for picking their nose and eating it agrees and richard thinks he's literally the only one who does that until one by one he discovers that everyone else does it. the final plot twist is that henry has been a certified nose picking eater since day one but refuses to believe he is one because julian told him that it was wrong and then he kills himself.
