Pink and purple sky
Pairing: Jack Mercer x Fem reader
Description: After reuniting unexpectedly at your old spot feelings finally spill out between you and Jack
Inspired by this fic by @wetpussyju1ce and this fic by @reveluving
Tumblr media
You quietly walked to your spot that wasn't always just yours but it had been for the last while as you walked across the frozen lake and in the woods to your spot which was a strange mix of a shed due to it's size and a treehouse since it was a few feet off the ground attached to a large tree making it seemed like you had crossed into a different world for your own small sanctuary away from the world. Jack found your old spot making him smile as memories of the two of you when you were preteens and teenagers ran through his mind as he slowly walked up the steps and slowly opened the door only to find you smoking a joint by the window as the two of you locked eyes before the next thing either of you knew was sharing a hug which made both of you realize just how much both of you truly felt safe and at home while holding each other before falling into conversation, your heart broke when you found out his mom Evelyn had died two days back while you were out of town for the last few months with your family and seeing him in tears made your heart break even more knowing what he had been through as a child and how much his life changed when he ended up with evelyn and his brothers leading to him with his head leaning on your shoulder. "I missed this...us" he looked at you as the two of you sat by the open window with an inch between the two of you as the soft orange glow of the sun shined on both of you bringing out your features and natural looks to each other in a way that neither of you noticed until now staring at each other as the orange glow slowly disappeared with the sun dimming while the pink and purple tones in the sky began to appear bringing a sudden yet comfortable intimacy between the two of you, "You've always been the one I had my eye on" his words caught you off guard and made your heart flutter all at once before the gap between the two of you was closed with a soft kiss filled with trust, safety, and not just blossomed but also unconditional love between the two of you that had formed over the last ten years as the two of you held each other lost in the kiss and each other. Clothes slowly fell to the floor before being molded together without breaking the tender kiss being shared between you feeling like both of you were losing your virginity all over again in terms of the vulnerability and emotions holding each other's hands feeling an endless and uncontrollable tsunami of emotions flood you as he slowly thrust with soft grunts and moans echoing in the room with no one around to hear or see not sex but love making as you became one and your souls intertwined together, both of you felt peace in a way neither of you knew existed while laying in the twin bed sharing soft whispers and gentle kisses molded skin to skin under the large warm comforter finally saying three words that you both always wanted to say to each other for so long sharing a kiss as "I love you" in gentle soft whispers before both of you fell asleep as the moonlight glowed through the window beside them with your head on his chest and your heartbeats in sync.

I looovvee him, he's so cute!!!! this fic is sort of bobby & reader centric w the focus being Jack throughout the whole time they're outside, until she gets home obvie and jackie is there to welcome her back from her small trip & they mess w bobby hehe.
this is for you my darling @reveluving, i watched it just cuz of garrett and i know he's your husband so this is kinda of a gift for you! I also did a little smthing special w the title, I hope you recognise its origin <3 enjoy!!!! <3
Tumblr media
It was July in Detroit and it was warm and pleasant. The snow has melted and the weather seemed to be pretty consistent these past few days, so it was safe to go out in short sleeves and shorts without fearing being rained on. It was also then that the Mercer brothers were back at home for a short break. So Evelyn's house was constantly busy with her sons and their partners.
Evelyn, Jerry, his wife Camille and their daughters were out in the garden, watching the girls play while enjoying the sunshine. Angel and his girlfriend Sofi were in the kitchen doing God knows what, Jack was nowhere in sight and his girlfriend was by the door, applying her lip-balm in front of the mirror on the wall.
Bobby was slumped on the couch, watching TV when she caught his attention, he saw her handbag on her shoulder and frowned, "Where do you think you're going, Curly?"
She turned around, smacking her shiny lips and shoving her lip-balm in her handbag, "To get ice-cream,"
Bobby glared at her, well, maybe he didn't, but he did have a glare permanently stuck to his ugly mug, so it doesn't make that much difference, "Alone?"
"Yeah?"
Bobby stared at her, looked at the cropped t-shirt she was wearing, her little bracelets, her jean shorts, red converse, the sunglasses perched on her head, keeping her curls away from her face and her stupid, pretty face. Maybe not stupid, but she clearly looked like she wasn't from around here and Bobby doesn't want to imagine what sorts of bad things could happen to her out there alone, so he leans forward on the couch and says, "Yeah, no way, JACK!-"
"He's taking a shower!" She says, baffled.
"You're going out alone like that is like asking to be mugged," Bobby scoffed.
"Like what? My clothes are fine??!" She gasps, staring down at herself then back up at Booby. He was just being a jerk for no reason, she'll be fine, the shop is not even 10 minute away on foot! And it was daylight for God-sake!
Bobby tries calling for Jack again so she huffs, turning around and swinging the door open, "I'm going to get ice-cream!"
She steps out, closing the door behind her while Bobby calls after her, telling her how dumb she was being, she wasn't from around here and that she should wait for Jack to be done showering so he can go with her. But she doesn't wait, she's a big girl, she can take care of herself just fine.
Curly holds tight on her handbag as she takes off, quickly walking down the street when she hears the sound of a door slamming and cursing, she turns around and her eyes widen when she sees Bobby running in her direction her. She feels fear lick at her spine and can't help the squeal that leaves her lips when the Michigan Mauler catches up to her and grabs her arm, "Bobby!"
She fully expects him to drag her back home, or throw her over his shoulder like an animal but he doesn't, he just keeps hold of her arm as he drags her closer to his side, "Are you stupid? I told you it was dangerous for you!"
"I'm fine!"
"No, you're not, Missy. It don't look like it but these streets are filled with dickbags looking to mug someone, especially when school's closed," Bobby hissed in her face, all condescending asshole and annoying big brother like.
She glares at him, "Are you gonna take me to get ice-cream or not?"
"You're- The things I do for that little shit," Bobby groans and links her arm with his, shoving his hands in his pockets and resuming their walk to the shop, Bobby's strut fast and a little aggressive.
"So you're doing what I want for Jack?" She asked, looking at him as they walked.
"Yes, for Jack," Bobby rolled his eyes. She was about to open her mouth to ask him more questions but chose against it. She tried not to grin but failed. When Bobby noticed, he scrunched his nose, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing,"
As much as Bobby behaves like a downright asshole, he's great deep down. Since the day she met him, she knew that he'd be intense, intimidating and a real character from all the stories Jack has told her. But he wasn't evil. Bobby can be really mean and straight up terrifying when you're asking for it, but as much as he gives her shit about liking Britney Spears, dating his twerp of a baby brother or ganging up on him with Sofi, he's never hurt her or made her feel bad. After all, he has to be nice, for Evelyn, and for his brother Jack, and he loves him a lot, so that means taking care of the girl Jack loves.
When they get to the shop, Bobby opens the door and she goes in first, looking around for the freezer.
"Hello, Bobby!" Samir greets, sitting behind the counter. "Hey," He gives the man a nod and when his eyes land on Curly, looking at some drinks, he smirks, "Have you met my brother's girlfriend, yet?"
Samir looks a little confused, "Sofi?"
"No, Curly get your tiny ass over here-" Bobby grabs her by the arms and drags her to his side, she tries to wiggle away but he holds firm, "Samir, this is Curly, Jack's new sweetheart." Samir smiles awkwardly and waves at the young woman, "Curly, this is Samir, he can hook you up with anything you want,"
"Well, not anything, Bobby," Samir scratches the back of his neck.
"Yeah, right," Bobby winks at the guy and Samir looks baffled, "I'm serious! Don't believe him!" Samir looks at Curly, begging her to believe him, that he's totally innocent and doesn't dabble in whatever Bobby is insinuating.
Curly knows that Bobby is messing with him, so she smiles, "Okay then, do you have ice-cream?"
Samir relaxes then, "Yes, it's right there, behind that shelf,"
"Thank you," Curly smiles, walking over to where he pointed, Bobby following her with his hands in his pockets. "Bobby, get a basket,"
Bobby turns around to go grab one while she slides the freezer's door open, she looks over at the options and picks two chocolate milk and almond magnum ice-creams for herself, then a cookies and cream one for Jack. Bobby comes over with the basket and she throws the three items in there, "Which one do you want?" Instead of answering, Bobby dives in and takes out a Twister with three flavours, putting it in the basket.
"Can you pick some for the rest?" She asks and he goes straight to work, knowing what his brothers, mum, his sister in law, nieces and Sofi like by heart, even though he'd never admit it. Once he's done, he closes the freezer and looks at her, "Are we done?"
"There should be eleven in here, can you check?" She asks him and he frowns, "We're 10 people,"
"I know, I took two," She says and counts herself instead, nodding when it's all there.
"Greedy," He mutters under his breath and she glares at him, "It's my money,"
"It's mY MonEy- Give me the basket," He makes fun of her and snatches the thing when she takes a million years to walk back to the counter with it on her arm. Bobby puts the thing in front of Samir who takes out a bag and gets to work, scanning one item at a time. "That'll be $21.89, please. Cash or card?" Samir looks up at them and Bobby looks at her, "Cash, just give me a minute," She says, opening her bag and digging in, looking for her wallet, when nothing happens in that 20 seconds of her looking inside her bag, Bobby huffs and she finally looks up, "I can't find my wallet! I must've left it in Jack's room!"
"Oh, really? That's okay, we can come back tomorrow," Bobby coos, sarcastic.
"I'm serious, Bobby, I really left it at home," She looks at him with big shiny eyes and his heart does that thing that's called, uhhh, guilt?
He sighs, shoving his hand in his pocket and taking out his wallet, "How much, Samir?"
"$21.89,"
"I'm sorry, Bobby," She whispers as he nods, handing Samir notes and taking back his change.
"It's funny," He takes his receipt and the bag, turning around, "Jack does the exact same thing,"
"What?"
"Bye Bobby, Bye Curly!" Samir calls after them.
"See ya!" Bobby raises his hand and steps outside in the sun. Curly still looks a little guilty, biting her lower lip and clutching her bag with both hands. Bobby looks at her, "Jack comes out with us and always forgets his wallet, but he doesn't just say it, no," He laughs, Jack's stupid face forming in his head clear as day. "He has to act it out, he looks for his wallet, flips his pockets inside out and does that thing where he looks like he's a sad kicked puppy,"
Curly listens, the two standing in front of the shop as a bunch of rowdy kids pass by on their bikes and scooters.
"The both of you, sneaky bastards," He points at her and squints his eyes and she pouts, "But I didn't mean to!"
"I believe you," He doesn't.
Bobby turns around and starts walking back home, "I'll pay you back, I swear!"
The eldest Mercer ignores her and she huffs, running to his side and shoving her hand in the bag. He frowns when she takes out her ice cream, vanilla flavoured, coated in chocolate milk and bits of crunchy almonds. She rips the packaging open, and shoves it back inside the bag, licking her lower lip before taking a bite, the chocolate cracking open to reveal the sweet vanilla flavoured centre.
Curly happily hums by his side, now skipping and chewing on her treat. She then turns to Booby, "Want a bite?"
He's about to decline when he remembers that $21.89 and covers her hand in his, leaning forward and taking the biggest bite ever. Curly screams, scandalised as Bobby tries to chew half of the ice cream in his mouth, too cold and too much at the same time. But he was petty, so he chewed fast and hard while his tongue slowly became numb at the cold.
"What the hell? What are you?! A Camel????" Curly squeals and he snorts, bits of spit flying everywhere and he almost chokes as he tries to swallow, a hand over his mouth, when he swallows half of his mouthful he glares at her, "Shut the fuck up,"
When Curly sees his watering eyes, the bits of vanilla ice cream on the corner of his mouth and full cheeks, she starts to laugh, loudly. Hand on her heart and head thrown back as Bobby struggles to swallow flipping Antarctica.
The whole way back home Curly is giggling and Bobby is coughing. At some point he starts to laugh too, threatening to kick her ass if she tells anyone what happened and Curly sticks out her tongue.
As soon as they open the door and get inside, Curly calls out, "WHO WANTS ICE-CREAM?"
Daniela and Amelia come running first, shouting ice-cream and jumping up and down. They rush to Bobby as he's the one holding the bag. He's grinning, holding the plastic bag above his head, "Alright, calm down," He laughs and makes the girls calm down before he gives them theirs. They jump in excitement, their braids and colourful beads swinging in all directions, "Thank you, uncle Bobby!"
"You're welcome," He chuckles, patting their little heads as they run off.
Evelyn comes in next, smiling at them, "Did you two go get ice-cream for everyone?"
"Yes," Curly nods, and Evelyn pinches her cheek, "How nice of you!"
"I paid!" Bobby adds and Evelyn laughs as she takes her ice cream from his hand, "Of course you did, thank you, Bobby," She grabs his hand and pulls him down so she can plant a kiss to his cheek. He smiles, looking down, trying to act cool, "It's okay, Ma,"
Curly watches him as he walks around his mum and goes straight to the kitchen, hollering for Angel and Jerry to come get theirs.
Jack comes down the stairs, jumping when he gets to the last bottom three steps and engulfs his girlfriend in a big hug. Evelyn shakes her head fondly and goes to the kitchen after Bobby, opening her treat in the way. "Did you go out with Bobby?" Jack asks and she nods, "Yeah, I wanted to buy ice-cream for everyone but I forgot my wallet in your room so Bobby paid,"
"He did?" Jack raised a brow.
"Yeah, and he ate half of my ice cream in one bite and almost choked on the side-walk!" She complained, waving the little wooden stick in the air. Jack laughed and grabbed her hand, pulling her into the living room where everyone was, "Is it true, Bobby? Did you almost choke to death after eating ice-cream?"
Bobby immediately whipped his head at Curly, glaring, "You snitch!"
"You should've seen his face! His eyes watered and he turned red!" Curly said, hiding behind Jack's shoulder, still holding his hand as he laughed loudly, Angel joining in and Jerry giving his brother the side-eye. "Aw, Bobby," Angel started, Sofi next to him on the sofa, one leg over his thigh as she enjoyed her pink lemonade Magnum. "Gag reflex too strong?" Angel cooed, making Bobby glare at him.
"Gag reflex? My-" Bobby started, and as soon as he pointed at Jack, him and his girlfriend pounced, not giving him a chance to finish his sentence as they jumped him. They got him on both sides, Jack with his hands wrapped around his throat and Curly around his arm, pulling him down so he'd lose his balance and fall over.
Bobby wheezed, "Let go!"
"Bite his ass, Curly!" Sofi cheered on and Angel cackled when Curly looked up at Bobby, deviously smiling, flashing her pretty white teeth at him and slowly opening her mouth, her breath fanning over his naked bicep.
"Oh, hell nah-" Bobby grunted and managed to wrestle both Jack and Curly off, wrapping his arms around them both and throwing them on the sofa, the two screaming and bouncing off the sofa on impact, landing on the floor instead. "Ouch, you dick!" Curly whined, rubbing her hip as Jack panted by her side, laying on the floor on his back.
Bobby ignored the two, taking out his own ice cream and sitting on the couch, crossing his feet over the coffee table and immediately taking them off when Evelyn came in.
"What are you two doing on the floor?" She asked, sitting down next to Bobby.
"Yoga," Curly answered, lifting herself off the ground when Jack grabbed her hand, "What did you get me?"
"Oh, Cookies & Cream," She said, holding his hand with both hands and pulling him off the floor. When he got to his feet, he planted a kiss on the side of her head and grabbed his from the bag on the coffee table, then sat on the floor, in front of the TV. Curly joined him, crossing her legs and watching the football game going on. She wasn't necessarily into football, but just sitting next to Jack, their legs and thighs touching, with his family surrounding them, made her heart slow down and mind quieten. It was nice, mundane, domestic. And when she started to zone out, Jack leaned close and whispered, "Thank you,"
"You're welcome," She smiled and turned her head to look at him, grinning. It's then that Bobby groans and tells them not to smooch in front of his salad and go upstairs. Jack snatches the little wooden stick from her hand and chucks it at Bobby's head, everyone laughing when Bobby throws his hands in the air, "What the hell?"

Napkins
Pairing: Benjamin "Benny" Miller x Anna "Edith" Kushing [not a couple yet]
Summary: Anna takes a little walk while the guys hang out at her house. Unfortunately, she is not very happy with her walk.
Tumblr media
Anna sits under a tree, reading a book and watching the Miller brothers who have come to visit her. She watches Santiago teach the boys how to play volleyball and can't help but smile when he fails to catch the ball again and gets angry, cursing at the brothers in Spanish.
The girl slowly turns her gaze to the boys and catches Benny's eye, who smiles softly at her, ruffling his dirty-wheat hair. She smiles sadly back, feeling something click in her chest. Carefully getting up, Anna puts the book aside and takes Santiago's leather jacket from the chair, throwing it over her shoulders and slowly walking towards them.
"I'm going to take a little walk," she whispers to her mentor, who leans toward her.
"Everything okay?" He frowns and looks worriedly at her tired face, to which she only nods.
"Yes." Kushing places her hand on top of his on her shoulder and smiles wearily.
With her hands in the jacket pockets, she walks away under the anxious gaze of three pairs of eyes and sniffles. Her hands find her headphones and a pack of cigarettes, for which Anna mentally thanks the man for the habit of carrying everything in his pockets. She puts the headphones in her ears and turns on the first track on her phone, which turns out to be some sad melody. Very timely, she snorts to herself, feeling a strange melancholy in her soul. The girl can't help but sigh and sniffles, rubbing her tired eyes.
A sudden tug on her jacket sleeve makes her startle and look around. In front of her stands a girl of about five, in tattered clothes and holding wet wipes, saying something. Anna takes out one earphone, trying to concentrate and understand what she is saying.
"Buy some, please," the girl whispers plaintively, handing her the napkins.
She is clearly far from home. There have been no beggars in her area for a long time, and so she looks around in confusion, trying to figure out where she is.
"I..." Anna stops, swallowing hard. Looking up, she notices another girl and a boy standing not far from them, also holding napkins.
Her heart trembles; the girl cannot utter a word, frantically starting to rummage through her pockets in search of change. With trembling hands, she takes out two dollars and hands it to her, placing it in her palm.
"Call them too, please," she says haltingly, trying to find more money in her pockets.
The girl immediately calls the others, and they run up to them; Anna, without hesitation, gives them the last money she found in her jacket. The children try to give her the napkins, but she shakes her head.
"No, no..." she waves her hand, refusing, "no need..."
"Take them," the children say, thrusting wet and dry napkins into her hands, "thank you!"
They run away as quickly as they appeared. Kushing looks after them, lost, holding in her hands the four packages of napkins they gave her, looks at them for several minutes with a glassy gaze and exhales convulsively, trying to hold back tears. Without looking, she stuffs them into her pockets and turns around, leaving. The girl takes out a pack and lights a cigarette, completely ignoring everything around her. The faces of these children when she gave them the money, their shining eyes and joyful exclamations are still before her eyes. She finishes the cigarette, completely unaware that she has smoked, and reaches home.
The boys sitting on the grass and kicking stones out of boredom instinctively rise when Anna enters the yard. Santiago immediately sees that something is wrong with the girl - her shaking hands and lost look speak for themselves. He tries to touch her shoulder, but she only shakes her head, silently walking into the house under the indignant gaze of the Millers.
***
Benny enters the room silently and sits down carefully on the floor next to her, pressing his back against the couch. She sits with her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them, resting her cheek on her knees. Her glassy gaze is directed at the window, where the sun is setting; she doesn't see the guy until he gently touches her shoulder with his hand.
"Anna," he calls quietly and she turns around. Tears shine in her eyes, which makes the guy's heart tremble; he sympathetically squeezes her shoulder and purses his lips, saying: "What happened?"
"They sold me napkins," is all Anna can say, finally losing control. Sniffling, she covers her face with her hands and continues incoherently: "Children on some street. I was walking and walking, and suddenly some girl pulled me. They were so... I can't..."
And she breaks down. While Benny, in shock, tries to digest this information, the tearful girl looks up at him again and quickly, swallowing the endings, adds:
"I didn't want to take them. They gave me four packs. I... I don't know, I felt so sorry for them..."
She wipes her tear-stained, reddened eyes with the sleeve of her sweater and sniffles. The guy can't think of anything better than to hug her, press her to himself, soothingly stroking her shoulders and back. He knows that this will do little to help her, but the way tense Anna relaxes in his arms suggests that she feels safe. His arms wrap gently around her back, forcing her head to rest against his chest; he rests his head on top of hers and exhales slowly, rocking from side to side to soothe her.
"Anna, God," he says, chuckling sadly, "I... I don't even know what to say. Really."
Kushing doesn't answer, shaking his head. She hears his steady heartbeat and slowly calms down, breathing slowly and deeply.
"Let's just... sit like this, okay?" she whispers softly, clutching his sweater in her hands. "We're so rarely in an idyll that sometimes I forget that we're best friends."
Benny lets out a small laugh at her words, and he adjusts his arms around his friend as they watch the setting sun, its rays filling the room with a bright, orange light. Her fingers trace patterns on the scars on his forearms as he holds her close to his chest, resting his chin on top of her head and closing his tired eyes.
A few minutes later, they pass out. Will and Santiago, who had come to check on Anna and Benny, who had fallen silent, were silently touched by the picture that greeted their eyes, where they were sleeping in each other's arms. Miller was still sitting, leaning his back against the couch, his head down, while Anna, in his arms, was pressed against his chest, her forehead resting on his temple, huddled. The boys looked at each other and understood each other without words; Will carefully took a blanket from the couch and covered them, and Santiago carefully removed their phones from under them, putting them aside. Heading towards the exit with silent steps, they cast a last glance at them and quietly closed the door, deciding that if the living room was occupied, they would spend the night in Anna's bedroom.

TRIPLE FRONTIER TIMELINE INFO (+ My Personal Take on the Timeline)
UPDATED: 05MAR25
Tumblr media
You can also read this on ellipsus, here. It's just a little neater + navigation via the outline.
Tumblr media
I approach any level of meta and theory-crafting with the first rule being: Assume as little as possible (to start). I do my best to work off as little assumptions as possible, making as few leaps as required; unless something truly does not work out then I will then move on to another possible solution. But even then, I strive to stay as close as logically possible to the source material. I would personally rather figure out how to make something work within canon that still makes sense, than break canon to fit something I like.
In addition, I will do everything in my power to keep everything in the ‘Canon Info’ section as free of personal opinion as possible and as little speculation as possible. I will then of course blatantly point out anything that isn’t explicitly canon, as such, et cetera.
Anything labeled “Technical Nitpick:” will just be me pointing out more technical, well, nitpicks. But this is more to emphasize certain points or point out conflicting information as needed; not to just auto ‘this can’t be true’.
Dates will be labeled as such ##MON## with the first two ## being the day of the month, MON being the first three letters of the month, and the last two ## being the last two numbers of the year. ex: 31MAR16 = March 31st, 2016
Tumblr media
Canon Info + Evidence Relating to Time + Place
The events of Triple Frontier by all accounts, appear to take place in late March 2016 to a little more than one week into April 2016.
Time
Redfly’s bill has the statement date & due dates as “25MAR” and “01APR” respectively.
The last digits of the years are too blurry to make out, at least in the pictures i’ve seen, but they do look like they say 2016. At minimum we can tell that it takes place during the mid to late 2010’s.
Lorea’s men are watching a soccer game during the movie. People have pointed out is a real match and appears to be one between Colombia & Ecuador, that is most likely one that took place on 31MAR16.
Technical Nitpick: 31MAR16 falls on a Thursday, not a Sunday. However we don’t know if the game was live or not when it was being watched, as it’s possible it could have been recorded or a re-run of the game a few days prior. But the game’s time at the very end of MAR16, still overall supports the confirmation of time frame.
Shortly after Redfly’s death, we’re told the team is 5 days late in terms of when they were meant to get to the boat that would then take them the final leg to Chile.
random aside: movies that don't span massive amounts of time also often try to release around the same time the movie takes place; so being released in March also helps back up the months it takes place.
Location(s)
We know that Redfly, Redfly’s family (two daughters + ex-wife), Ironhead, Ben, Catfish, and Catfish’s lady & child, all reside in or close to Tampa, Florida, USA. More than likely all reside within Pinellas County.
Ben’s t-shirt for his MMA fight league has the area code for 727/Pinellas County. You can see the address for Redfly’s old home (where his ex-wife and daughters currently live), on the bill.
CREDIT: A massive thank you @dameronscopilot for pointing this out.
Other than his presence there, we do not have any confirmation of where Catfish lives. However, it seems likely then, just by Catfish also being there at the fight that he likely also lives nearby/within reasonable travel distance. More than likely he also lives in Pinellas County.
EDIT (05MAR25): this match could take place on the weekend or... idk something. it doesn't really make sense why tess is going to school but then the match is happening and everyone is seemingly daydrinking as a friend pointed out and honestly it doesnt really make sense. but frankly i don't think this changes anything significantly and would still fit into my personal timeline below if it took place on the weekend. EITHER WAY, CATFISH PROBABLY ALSO LIVES CLOSE BY THATS ALL I'M TRYING TO SAY. Especially as the fight takes place in the early morning (Tess is only just being dropped off at school just before it); and when this doesn’t appear to be any kind of ‘special’ match for Ben.
CREDIT: thanks to @criticalarchitecture for pointing this out
We know Pope has been in Colombia for, at minimum, the last three years.
Misc Notes
It is important to remember, that even with the very slight delay in the mansion: they were still completely on schedule in terms of their grand plan, up until the moment they crashed. It was not until that point did any major change happen that actually added significant time to their plan.
It’s also important to remember that these men are hauling ass. They are sleeping absolute bare minimum and traveling to get from Lorea’s to their destination as quickly as possible. Not only are they capable they’re literally trained to do this. The only moments they are not physically moving is when they’re stopping to catch what are essentially not terribly far off from cat naps; so they’re traveling even during most of the nights.
They are also likely sleeping in shifts to maintain a watch, especially when they know they’re being hunted because of their heist. Which means at least one person is awake while the others sleep and switch out periodically.
Tumblr media
Jack's Personal Timeline:
TLDR: The events of the movie (Pope recruiting the team to them saying goodbye in Chile) likely take place sometime between 25MAR16-13APR16; with a few days-worth of of padding to account for travel, prep, recoup, and us not knowing 100% when Pope arrives in Tampa. This is easily the most generous possible version of the timeline.
(full timeline breakdown under the cut)
25-29MAR16
Sometime during these dates, Pope arrives back in Tampa and see’s everyone.
This leaves a minimum 1 day gap between Pope’s arrival + the ‘Thursday’ he mentions for them leaving. 25MAR16 is the previous Friday so, this would track.
31MAR16 - 01APR16 (Thursday-Friday) - Travel + Recce
The team leaves for Colombia & do the recce.
Redfly mentions, post-recce and dinner, they’d need the heavy-lift helicopter within “32 hours”. Since they would need it for the upcoming Sunday, which is the 03APR16. More than likely then, their travel time + the recce took them from Thursday and into Friday (31MAR16 - 01APR16).
It is during the recce that Yovanna gets the information they need to confirm the money is in the mansion.
02APR16 (Saturday) - Preparations
This gives them at least one full day (Saturday) to prep and get the info from Yovanna.
Prep Day, the team meets at the shipyard to get their gear. That morning Yovanna got Pope the footage/pictures + he requested the van from her.
03APR16 (Sunday) - The Day of the Heist
The heist takes place early morning.
Post-heist, they drive some distance to the air field, weigh/load, take off.
They make it to Peru in the late night, where they drop of Yovanna and her brother. Probably refuel, take off.
Catfish says that it will take about 4 hours to get to the mountains where they’ll have to go higher.
April 4th (Monday) - The Day of the Crash
They’re crossing over the Andes when they crash. Presumably approx 4 hours as Catfish stated, after dropping Yovanna and her brother off.
Their original timeline to get to the boat was most likely this day.
Please note from here it gets a little wonky as there are a lot more overlapping events and save for a single moment, we’re not given a particularly solid idea of timeline.
April 4th-10th (Monday-Saturday) - Travel
Redfly most likely dies around 07-08APR16.
Due to the crash, they are five days late to the boat they had scheduled. I personally believe they go on to actually get on the boat into the very early morning on the 6th day late (April 10th).
More than likely they reach their destination within the same day they take off on the boat.
Post-10APR16 - Meeting with Pope’s agency contact in Chile
They meet with Pope’s contact who arranges the money for the team.
By my best guess, this most likely takes place about a day or so after of them arriving in Chile. I would personally estimate about 2-3 days, so sometime between the 11-13APR16.
This is just enough time for the men to:
Hand over the money for the contact/lawyer to count; for said lawyer to write up the last minute documents for the Redfly trust, and have arrangements to be made for Redfly’s body; get at least one night/day to clean up, rest, and for them (and especially Ironhead) to seek medical attention.
Within the next 24-48 hours post-meeting, presumably, they all end up on flights to their destinations. Back home to Tampa, FL for the Miller’s and Catfish; and Australia for Pope.

Note
Could you please write a bit about what happened after the events of Triple Frontier, when Benny finally made it home to his partner?
Is this angst? Is it not? Is it an airplane? I honestly don’t know what happened here, anon but I sure hope this is close to what you wanted. I wanted to include some pieces on how it changes Ben in the following weeks of that but just very briefly lol
The Aftermath (Ben coming home)
It’s not the sound of keys in your front door or the pattern of footsteps coming into the living room that wake you up but a gentle squeeze on your leg. Benny sitting at the end of the couch, a tired smile on his face seems like a dream to you at first and you need a second, a very short second, to wake up your hazy brain.
“Jesus Christ –” The blanket’s on the ground and you scramble to your feet before you know it, arms already thrown around his neck. You almost knock Benny off the couch but he catches you in his own arms, face pressing into your shoulder as you hold each other for what feels like eternity. Your hands are pushing through his longer hair, the hat already knocked off and you press a hard desperate kiss to his lips - desperate in a sense of needing to feel him in order to understand that he is truly home. Benny kisses you back witch such force that your lips tingle as you separate again. His hands cup your cheeks and for a moment you two are quiet, just looking at each other. While your eyes search for any prominent injuries Benny tries to think of anything he wants to say to you but the thousand thoughts he had about you during his mission seem to have left his mind, the only thing he’s able to do is keep looking at you.
“How.. When did you get back?” Your voice cracks a little bit and you have to swallow the sudden lump in your throat, gently cupping his face with your hands, holding up his head, that seems to weigh much more than you can remember.
“Just about now.” he whispers so low you barely hear him right, your ears peaking up at the raspy undertone of his voice. Benny looks tired. His eyes are red, the usual easiness gone and you’re suddenly afraid as you look into them. There’s a silent question written all over your face, brows knitted together in confusion as you search for words that die on your lips every time your try to string them together into a sentence. What the hell happened?
Ben’s face turns. He squeezes his eyes, hands scrunching up your jumper so hard that his knuckles turn white and you stroke his cheeks, trying to kiss away the pain as the first tears fall but failing miserably. This is not something you can fix, not now, so you pull Benny closer to your chest, reassuringly stroking the back of his head as hollow sobs escape him and his body shakes in your embrace.
“It’s okay, you’re home. You’re home, shh, Babe.” It’s meaningless, you know that but the words spill out on instinct, your lips pressed to the top of his head as Benny falls apart between your fingers. You can barely make out his words that tear out of him, muffled by your shirt and his voice breaking between shaky breaths.
“Tom’s dead.”
You stop. It’s such an obscene thought, Benny has to say it a second time before you truly understand the meaning of it. “Tom is dead.”

Barmaid
Pairing: Jack Mercer x Anna Kushing
Summary: Jack spends every evening after the concert in the bar, drinking. he is broken and tired, but the light beer helps him feel less lonely. Or maybe it's all about the pretty good barmaid who stands at the bar in the evenings.
Tumblr media
It's getting dark. There was almost no one left in the empty bar, except for regular customers who sat until the establishment closed. The girl had already managed to wipe all the glasses and wine glasses and was now carefully arranging them on the shelf.
“Light beer, please,” says a boyish voice in front of the counter. Anna takes a break from her boring task and turns around.
The visitor turned out to be a young guy of about twenty. His blond hair was carelessly disheveled, and his blue eyes nervously darted around the bottles behind the girl. He tapped his fingers on the bar counter with a rhythm known only to him, curling and pursing his lips.
Кushing doesn't answer. She silently picks up a tall glass and goes to the tap, filling it with beer. The guy in front of her is clearly fussing and this makes her briefly ask:
"Rough day?"
“Yeah,” he says without looking.
The girl puts a glass on a coaster and a bowl of nuts in front of him, and then continues to clean the bar counter. He clearly doesn't want to talk, and Anna doesn't want to intrude.
Her job is to mix cocktails and serve alcohol, not to ask questions.
“Your beer is delicious,” the guy says hoarsely after a short silence. His gaze rises from his glass to the girl, who laughs softly at this remark.
“Then you should come visit us more often,” she says with a charming smile, leaning her elbow on the bar counter and tilting her head slightly to the side.
The guy's thin, chapped lips curved into a smile. Apparently, he smoked a lot and licked his lips, from which they did not even have time to heal. Anna suffered from something similar a few years ago, until she stopped licking her lips every second.
“No tip, sorry,” he places a couple of crumpled bills on the counter and stands up from his chair, straightening his low-rise jeans.
Anna unobtrusively looks at him, running her gaze over his figure. The guy was quite tall and fit, apparently, he was involved in some kind of martial arts or something like that. In addition to all this, he was very cute - soft features, bright blue eyes, a boyish smile that appeared on his face every now and then made him look like a teenager no older than eighteen. However, real demons could be hiding under the angelic appearance, and therefore Кushing did not lose her vigilance.
She's pretty, Jack thinks to himself, looking back briefly as he leaves the bar.
He will definitely appear here more often.

Headcanons: Benny Miller
from the author: I wrote according to my feelings and my vision of Benny Miller. Here I described how I roughly see it. I think I’ll publish something similar for Anna Kushing, so that you guys can understand what she’s like.
Tumblr media
Benny, who suffers from ADHD, has trouble focusing on one specific thing. He definitely needs to do several things at the same time, and although he calls it “multitasking,” from the outside it seems that he is simply flighty. This guy has the energy of a rabid golden retriever who just cannot sit still due to excess strength.
The best at flirting out of all four. This guy can charm everyone, from the young girl behind the bar to the grown woman at the gas station. Winks, sly grins, frivolous smiles - it's all about him. [His personal best is 58 seconds.]
He's very tactile. Literally. If Anna is hanging out with the guys, you can be sure that Benjamin Miller will have all his hands on the poor girl, whether they're cuddling while the guy's fingers untangle her short, wild locks of hair, or having a sudden sparring session right in the middle of Will's living room.
Benny plagued by nightmares. This topic is rarely raised because there is almost no reason, but when Anna and Benny move in together, on the first night the girl is frightened by his screams. Once he even accidentally hit her in the nose in his sleep and woke up in a cold sweat from her muffled scream. The guy apologized for a long time and a lot, lowering his head in shame, like a guilty puppy, while Anna applied ice to her swollen nose and muttered that everything was fine. After that, he could not sleep peacefully for several days, afraid of hurting her again.
Benny is ready for anything. Party at Santiago's? Yes. Hiking with Will? Yes. Fishing with Frankie? Yes. Shopping with Anna? Oh god yes. He loves active recreation [unlike Anna, who has hinted to him more than once that she is not a fan], but if someone from the team wants to spend a quiet evening in his company, he will always be happy about it, be it watching a movie or having a family dinner.
He is very hot-tempered. This trait of his character always infuriated Will, even when they were children. Stubborn, impudent, angry Benny was the worst nightmare for the elder Miller, always reserved and calm, even as a teenager. He hoped that his temper would calm down, but with age everything only got worse. If earlier the angry Benny hurled only caustic words at his older brother, now sometimes fists and kicks would slip through. It was impossible to control, since the younger Miller was boiling as quickly as cooling. Terrible.
Benny is a gentleman to the core. He will always hold the door and open the car door, and offer his hand when leaving the house/elevator. The guy will immediately offer Anna his jacket if it rains so that neither she nor her dress gets wet, give her his boots if she gets tired of walking in high heels, or, if she doesn’t mind, carry her in his arms. After this, at home, he will carefully treat her bloody fingers and take her to bed, without even reproaching her once. So cute.
He doesn't know how to spend money. Absolutely. If he has a thousand dollars in his pocket, he will return penniless. Another KISS T-shirt? Benny Miller will take four of these. Well, of course, in different colors, he’s not that idiotic. Stupid lottery "knock out the purple hippopotamus", where there is zero chance of winning? Pfft, nothing is impossible for Ben. Poker? Come on, he's specialist. In losing money at the table.

Pool Party
Pairing: Benjamin "Benny" Miller x Anna "Edith" Kushing [not a couple yet], other guys and their wives/girlfriends.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“So, we bought beer, bought snacks, bought straws...” Santiago listed, holding a list in his hand, written in Frankie’s sloppy handwriting, and bending his fingers, “that seems to be all. We took the rest in advance.”
“Yeah,” Tom answered without looking, trying to open the tap to fill the pool with clean water.
After getting together and consulting, they decided to have a pool party to finally relax. They originally planned to have it with just the five of them as a bachelor party, but quickly changed their minds, allowing Frankie and Tom to bring their wives and Santiago to bring his girlfriend. Not without the quirks of Benny, who volunteered to invite Anna as well. The guys didn’t mind - they developed a good relationship after the joint mission, and the Millers became friends with the girl, constantly sending her parcels and receiving them in return. Of course, other guys also received packages from Kushing - just look at the collectible Metallica T-shirt she sent for Santiago. He, without exaggeration, wore it without taking it off until Will persuaded him to keep the T-shirt as a souvenir until he washed it to holes. In response to this little gift, Santiago seriously considered buying a pickup truck for the intern after learning that she did not have a car. Frankie managed to dissuade him from this crazy idea and at the last moment Garcia sent Anna a Rolex, while her pre-purchased gift was in his garage.
"Will Anna be there?" Santiago asked, turning to the guys. They shook their heads and shrugged their shoulders, to which he frowned in confusion, throwing his hands up: “Come on, no one even called her?”
“It’s easier to reach the president than her,” Tom chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, catching his friend’s frown.
"Where is your crazy one?" Frankie, who was helping Davis with a jammed tap, raised his head to Will.
The elder Miller, who was putting food into the mini-fridge, just shrugged.
“He told me not to wait for him,” he answered and closed the door, leaning his palm on it and looking around at the guys. "He has “business to do.”"
“We know his business,” Frankie snorted, squeezing the faucet harder with the adjustable wrench, causing the veins on his temples to bulge. “More precisely... one... specific... thing...” with these words, he pulled the key to the side and water gushed out of the faucet, filling the pool. The man wiped the sweat from his forehead and plopped down on the grass, trying to catch his breath.
Santiago just frowned at his words, tilting his head slightly to the side.
"She kept her legs closed, didn't she?" Tom grinned, for which he received disapproving glances from his friends and shut up.
There was a lot in Benny's life: the army, service, several wounds, battles. Among these items on the countless list there was no place for a simple nine-letter word - happiness. Benny lived by doing what he knew best, in his opinion, fighting. It was the only thing that helped him cope with PTSD - both Millers were too stubborn to go to a therapist, so they each dealt with it in their own way. And if Will, being more reserved, began to give motivational speeches as a speaker, then Benny chose mixed martial arts, where he could give his best. With the appearance of Anna in his life, everything turned upside down, and the guys, seeing how Benny looked at her, really wanted to think that it was all for the better. He deserved every share of the happiness that the girl, albeit unconsciously, brought into his life.
A loud roar of a car was heard in the street; Benny's red Ferrari drove into the area in front of the house and a second later its owner jumped out of the car, adjusting his cap on his head.
“Hey y'all,” he immediately waved his hand to his friends and began to make excuses: “Sorry, I was picking up Edith, it took her a long time to get ready.”
Anna, who came out after him, frowned and lightly pushed him with her shoulder, restraining herself from the impulse to kick him.
“Actually, you spent forty minutes looking for your glasses, which you left in the car,” she muttered, to which Santiago laughed loudly.
“Benny boy keeps throwing the responsibility onto others,” Frankie responded jokingly, approaching the couple and ruffling the guy’s hair, after which he turned to Anna herself: “How are you in general?”
“Alright,” she answered with a slight nod and put her hands in the pockets of her jeans, looking at the pool.
Will glanced at them quickly, noticing that Anna looked a little tired. She was wearing loose blue jeans and a cropped crop top that looked more like some kind of scarf, which she tied around her chest.
It’s not for me to judge, thought Will, welcoming the girl by the shoulders and nodding to her.
“Tired,” Santiago says immediately, clasping her jaw with his hand and lifting it up, forcing her to raise her head. There were dark circles under her eyes, which she apparently tried to hide with concealer "you're not sleeping?"
“Sleeping,” Anna mutters in response, looking away from her mentor when he lets go of her.
Lately, she really hadn’t been sleeping well, and in general she hadn’t been feeling very well — training and working late were taking their toll. It was very difficult to juggle all this, but she managed as best she could. But she didn't wanna discuss this with guys.
* * *
“Don’t you dare touch the kebab, Benjamin,” Frankie said sternly, seeing how the younger Miller was about to approach the grill.
He stopped and looked at his friend with an offended look.
“I didn’t plan this,” he stuck his tongue out at his friend, snorting.
Morales just rolled his eyes at this, heading into the house to change clothes.
Benny sighed, glanced quickly around the yard and instantly frowned when he saw Anna standing to the side, scrolling through her Instagram feed. This was expected - she was not a fan of noisy parties, and therefore always tried to stay away from it. But could Ben allow the lady to remain alone? Not on his duty.
He walked up to her with a cheerful gait and threw his long arm over her shoulders, pulling the girl closer to him.
"Bored?" the guy asked casually, looking at her out of the corner of his eye.
“No,” Anna lied, clasping his hand hanging from her shoulder with hers. Benny instantly laced their fingers together, feeling the butterflies of excitement begin to flutter in his stomach again.
“Bullshit,” he snorted, “I know you’re uncomfortable. I can feel this a kilometer away.”
Anna just shrugged.
“Too... many people,” she said carefully, “Although Santiago has a very nice girlfriend.”
Benny rolled his eyes. Santiago's girlfriend was pretty, sure, but what the hell kind of girl is this year? He's even lost count. Santiago was a very prominent and even handsome man, but his trust issues, as well as being an avoidant type, kept him from being in a relationship for more than a month. Unlike Will, who did not pursue relationships, Santiago felt somewhat lonely, despite the fact that there were always people around him. He filled this loneliness with the girls with whom he entered into relationships. To some extent, Benny saw the similarity between his friend and Anna: she was also almost always among people, but at the same time it was as if she was not there - she withdrew into herself, closing herself off from the outside world when she became uncomfortable. But the girl never let guys get closer to her than at arm's length, in every sense.
"Did you want to come, or?" Benny suddenly asked, looking down at her.
"What?" Anna asked in bewilderment, almost choking on air from the surprise of the question.
He smiled faintly.
"Did you come because you wanted to or just because of me?" the guy repeated patiently.
"I... well, yeah?" she answered uncertainly and pulled away slightly from him, which did not escape his gaze, "why?"
“You’re out of your element,” he shrugged.
Anna's face changed instantly, becoming almost unreadable.
“I’m fine,” the girl said restrainedly, looking into the distance.
Benny hummed thoughtfully. It was not consent, but also not refusal, and therefore she did not know how to evaluate it. However, the conversation did not go any further and they continued to stand in an embrace, but in silence.
* * *
The party was in full swing when Santiago suddenly picked up the unexpected Anna in his arms and threw her into the pool - fully dressed. The girl screamed; her cry was swallowed up by the water, however, when she surfaced, she looked at her mentor with such a look that he realized that he's dead.
“You’re a fucking asshole,” Anna gets out of the pool and throws a crumpled soda can at Santiago to the loud laughter of the guys.
“Hey,” he catches the can, putting it aside, “you’re at the pool party, remember?”
“Fuck off,” the girl growls in response, kicking him in the leg.
“Come on, don’t pout,” the man ruffles her wet hair with a smile, which angers her even more, “it was fun.”
Anna silently showed him her middle finger, kicking off her sandals as she walked. The wet jeans clung unpleasantly to her body, making her unbearably hot, but the prospect of showing off in front of five men and their women in the same underwear was such an idea.
Benny, noticing that Anna had gone into the house, quickly got out of the pool and, grabbing a towel, went after her. He didn't see what happened but her angry voice made him worry.
Behind him, Santiago quietly high-fived Will.
"Anna?" the guy opened the bathroom door, blotting his hair with a towel, "you here?"
“I’m not dressed,” came the answer, and Benny immediately slammed the door, turning away in embarrassment.
“Sorry, sorry,” he jabbered, leaning his back against the wall, “I didn’t see anything, if you’re worried..."
“Calm down,” Anna said a little louder. It was clear from her voice that she rolled her eyes.
"You there... what are you doing?" He turned his head slightly, glancing at the door.
A small fuss was heard behind her.
"Drying clothes."
"What?" Benny didn’t understand.
“I'm drying my clothes in the dryer,” the girl repeated.
"Ah. Oh."
"Yeah."
"Are you... mad?" the guy clarified uncertainly after a couple of minutes of silence.
"At what?"
"At the situation... At Santiago."
“He can go and fuck himself,” Anna opened the bathroom door, dressed again, but now more disheveled than before, “Dickhead.”
Benny couldn't help but smile. The girl often did not mince words, which made her so lively in communication. Over time, he became so accustomed to this that her calm behavior seemed to him like an alarm that “something is wrong.”
“That’s for sure,” he nodded, looking at her quickly, "You okay?"
“I am,” she muttered dissatisfiedly in response, trying to straighten her top, “fuck.."
Hearing her scolding, the guy looked up from her feet to her face and frowned.
"What happened?"
“I think I pulled the top too tight around my neck and it’s rising up,” the girl answered, groaning in disappointment, “fuck.”
"Need a help?" Benny raised his eyebrows.
Anna hesitated, pursed her lips in embarrassment and turned to him. She used her hands to lift her short, dyed hair up, exposing her back and the strings of her top around her neck.
Benny stepped forward and carefully untied the tight knots, which forced the girl to hold the front of her top. He almost stopped breathing when her scar on her back, which he had not seen before, caught his eye. Oh my God, the guy thought, frozen for a moment in shock, looking at the brown, uneven spot on the pale skin. It looked like a scar from some kind of burn or something else...
Benny realized he'd been staring too long when Anna fidgeted, turning her head slightly to the side as if to suggest, "Aren't you done there?" He deftly began to tie the top around her neck, feeling his fingers tremble with nerves.
"Isn’t it tight?" the guy asked, making a test knot.
“No, it's good,” the girl nodded, straightening her top in front, “make another knot.”
“Uh-huh,” Benny hummed in response and complied with her request, “All done.”
“Thank you,” she answered quietly, finally turning to face him.
She did not move away from him; on the contrary, it seemed to him that she even moved closer. Benny was still wet and disheveled from the pool, with a towel draped over his shoulders. The water from his damp hair dripped onto his bare chest, running down his abs and over the waistband of his swim trunks. The bright, childish blue eyes opposite him shone as he looked at her from under his long, thick eyelashes. At the bottom of his dilated pupils, mischievous lights danced, never going out, even in the most difficult situations. Anna unconsciously ran her gaze over his face, noticing the stubble that covered his cheeks and chin, and could not hold back the sigh that tried to escape her lips.
Benny himself did not dare take his eyes off her, absorbing every detail of her appearance. He stood so close that he even noticed the barely visible freckles on her once-broken nose. The once-former complex of an uneven nose with a barely visible hump in profile, which Anna imposed on herself, became her highlight, giving her soft facial features sharpness. Her large, golden-brown eyes, so bright and shining, in the rays of the setting sun breaking through the window, resembled a molten alloy of gold, casting a barely noticeable greenish tint. Damn, she looked so beautiful now. All Ben could think was that he just wanted to cup her face in his hands and kiss her right there in the hallway of Frankie's house.
"Benny?" Anna called quietly, almost hesitantly.
He flinched when he heard her voice and realized that he had unconsciously leaned too close to her face, freezing just inches from her lips. Looking up, the guy swallowed hard; her warm breath touched his lips as she lifted her head slightly up to look into his eyes. It was so damn hard to hold back when she looked up at him with those almost puppy dog eyes.
"Yeah?" he muttered hoarsely in response, not yet pulling away.
“We should go back,” the girl said quietly, “the guys might start to worry.”
“I don’t care,” Benny replied, placing his hands on her waist. She did not pull away - on the contrary, she carefully touched his ribs with her thin, long fingers, exhaling raggedly.
“Benny...” Anna whispered barely audibly, swallowing from nerves.
It was painfully obvious that they both wanted this. So much so that they didn’t even need to say anything for this - everything was clear and without words. However, they continued to stand, holding each other, like two teenagers experiencing sympathy for the first time. So hilarious.
Leaning even lower, Ben gently touched the tip of his nose to her nose, as if asking her permission - may he? This gesture, so sweet and innocent, was absolutely not his style - Anna thought that he would be more confident, more impudent, but no. He was in no hurry. Absolutely. And this almost made her angry, so much so that she was ready to close this last distance between them herself, but Santiago’s loud voice made her flinch and move away:
"Benny! Anna! Where the fuck are you?"
An irritated sigh, almost a growl, escaped the guy’s lips; Pulling away from the blushing and embarrassed girl, he looked around, noticing Santiago in the living room.
"What's happened?"
“We’ve been looking for you for almost forty minutes,” the man said displeasedly, snorting, “let’s go, we’re already opening the second box of beer.”
Benny sighed.
"We'll come now."
Santiago seemed satisfied with this answer and he quickly disappeared, leaving them in the house again.
From the face of the red and embarrassed Anna, who was standing almost a kilometer away from him, Benny realized that the moment had been missed. Fucking Garcia, fucking pain in ass.
“Let’s go,” the girl nodded without looking, heading towards the exit.
The younger Miller sighed again, silently following the girl.
It was too perfect a moment.

Princess for Prince
Pairing: Benjamin "Benny" Miller x Anna "Edith" Kushing [not a couple yet], Frankie "Catfish" Morales x wife! [not mentioned]
Summary: Frankie marries a year after team's mission in Brazil. At the same time, he does not forget about the youngest in their team, inviting her to share this day with loved ones.
Tumblr media
Work in Morales's house was in full swing - friends from the groom's side who had arrived early helped spread snow-white tablecloths on the tables and arrange cutlery and dishes, while he himself was busy decorating the entrance.
“I barely found it,” Benny muttered displeasedly, throwing a package of green napkins at Santiago. “Why can’t we take regular white ones?”
“Because the color of the wedding is green, you idiot,” Tom snorted, helping his friend arrange the napkins beautifully on the table, while the younger Miller, displeasedly rolling his eyes, plopped down on a chair and tried to catch his breath.
“Don’t wrinkle the suit,” Will said sternly and he rolled his eyes again.
"Yes, mommy."
The brother just shook his head at this, continuing to set the table. Benny will never improve and he has come to terms with that.
“Damn, this...” Tom said in disbelief, looking somewhere towards the entrance and the guys instinctively looked around, trying to understand what their friend saw through the thicket of bushes.
A couple of seconds later, they noticed a girl entering the yard, carefully walking on the tiles and carefully looking at her feet. She had a small box in her hands, which she clutched tightly with her fingers.
Finally, looking up, she smiled radiantly and walked closer to the stunned guys.
"Hey guys!" she said joyfully, standing in front of them and awkwardly starting to fiddle with the belt at her waist.
“Anna, you look fucking amazing,” Benny exclaimed and rushed at the girl with hugs, as if he was trying to strangle her in his strong arms.
She truly looked stunning - the mini kimono dress, reaching just above the knee, with long, loose sleeves emphasized her slender and toned figure. She wore beige high-heeled sandals and now Anna was as tall as Santiago, but still shorter than Ben by almost seventeen centimeters.
Laughing, she hugged him with one arm and patted him on the back. Pulling away, Kushing hugged each guy individually, receiving compliments from each.
“This dress suits you very well,” Santiago said with a smile, hugging her carefully so as not to wrinkle it.
“Thank you,” she smiled widely, looking at the guys, “You look so cool in these suits.”
“No better than you, m'lady,” Benny winked and Anna rolled her eyes with a smile.
“You’re so beautiful,” Will gently hugged his friend, leaning down slightly, “Like a princess.”
"A princess without a prince?" Tom grinned, to which the younger Miller looked offendedly from behind the top of her head and frowned at the captain. He wanted to object to him, but Santiago’s stern gaze quelled his ardor.
Finally, Anna was able to break free from the tenacious hands of her partners and approach Frankie, guiltily pursing her lips into a thin stripe and lowering her gaze to the floor.
“I thought you wouldn’t come,” he grinned, pulling Anna into his arms. She hugged him back tightly, sighing.
“Sorry,” the girl said embarrassedly and pulled away from the guy, after which she handed him the box she was holding in her hands, “A gift for the newlyweds. And one more thing.”
She instantly pulled out a small envelope from her purse, placing it on top of the box with a slight smile.
“Thank you,” the man smiled gratefully and hugged her again, affectionately stroking her back, after which he pulled away and said: “I’ll take it to the house, for now you sit down where you find a free place.”
“It’s free in my heart,” Benny sang and smiled slyly, falling into an empty chair.
Anna laughed at his words, stepping aside. The guys ran back and forth around the yard, removing scattered bags and garbage and giving it a divine appearance. Frankie climbed up the ladder and continued decorating the house, hanging flowers and balloons above the door. The girl wanted to help them with the work, but Will gently refused her, saying that they could handle it themselves and there was no need for her to worry.
***
"Bet I’ll invite Anna to dance?" the slightly tipsy Benny smiled slyly, looking straight at his chuckled brother.
Will knew that he didn't give a fuck about this dispute - he just wanted to dance with the girl and was looking for a reason for this. He had been watching the two since the start of the celebration and couldn't help but notice that Benny was more excited than usual. He didn’t intend to get into his brother’s soul, so he just smirked.
“Just do it, Benny,” the elder Miller says, as if it were so easy.
“She’ll tell me to fuck off,” Ben grinned hoarsely, rubbing the lower part of his face with his palm.
Both brothers looked at Anna, who was standing near the table chatting with Tessa, Tom's daughter. The girls did not have a very big age difference, and therefore they quickly found a common language and were now pleasantly talking about something. Kushing had a glass of unfinished bourbon in her hands, which she shook in her hands from nerves, which betrayed her hidden excitement and Benny could not hold back a sigh.
“Talk to her, Benny. This is Anna. You know she likes to snarl, not bite,” Will shrugs, looking from the girl to his brother.
“I know, but... it seems that I’m not her type at all,” he answers uncertainly and shudders when he hears the girls’ laughter. Raising his head, he sees Anna covering her face with her palm, laughing at some joke she said. A sad smile lights up his lips, “Yeah, I’m definitely not her type.”
"Why did you decide that?" the guy frowned and wiped sweat from his wet forehead with the back of his hand.
“A girl her age is unlikely to be interested in a soldier with a lot of injuries and a broken mentality,” the younger Miller snorted, carefully watching Anna, “Besides, she’s too good for me.”
“Don’t start this shit,” Will said tiredly, turning back to the girl. "What happened in the past does not define you in the future. Allow yourself not to think about it for at least today and just ask her to the fucking dance."
Benny sighed. Taking his glass from the table, he gulped down the remaining whiskey at the bottom and closed his eyes, after which, handing the glass to his brother, he went straight to Anna.
“Hey,” he began and coughed, clearing his throat.
The girl turned around and, noticing the guy, smiled charmingly.
“Excuse me,” she smiled sadly at Tess, to which she just shook her head and, thanking the girl for the conversation, went to her sister. After watching her go, Anna turned to Benny and slightly tilted her head to the side in a questioning gesture.
"Will you give me one dance?" he says as he exhales, which confuses her.
"Dance?"
“Well, yes,” the guy awkwardly scratches the back of his head, not knowing what to say. All his confidence instantly disappeared, and the hope for her consent was slowly fading away.
“Of course,” Anna smiled softly, putting her glass down on the table and straightening up, straightening her dress.
The younger Miller, as befits a gentleman, offers her his elbow and brushes his hair out of his face with a wave of his head, smiling charmingly. He makes a mental note to remember to thank Will later.
The girl silently clings to him and Benny leads her off the impromptu dance floor, feeling his own heart beating loudly. He carefully wraps one hand around her waist and pulls her closer to him, while the other catches her small palm and squeezes it slightly with rough fingers. She hesitantly places her hand on his shoulder, squeezing it through his jacket. Turning her gaze to his face, Anna meets his blue eyes, looking at her with undisguised warmth, settled at the bottom of his dark pupils. They smile at each other and Benny begins to move slowly to the beat of the song, spinning the girl in a simple dance.
Through the beating of her own heart, thundering in her ears, she hears the guy barely audibly singing the lines of the song. Having gathered her courage, Anna begins to listen to the words flying out of his mouth.
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
“So beautiful song,” she says quietly, wrapping her hand more comfortably around his shoulder.
Benny slows down. Anna raises her head and he smiles faintly, examining her face. The makeup was as natural as possible - he wouldn’t have noticed if he wasn’t so close to her. The outer corners of the eyes darkened with matte shadows, thin, neat wings, a layer of mascara, brown lipstick: it seems that Anna went to the salon to see a makeup artist, because she once mentioned that she spends more than forty minutes on drawing the wings.
The phrase was said casually, by the way, but for some reason he remembered it.
“From Twilight,” Ben says simply and the girl can’t help but smile.
"I've never watched Twilight."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
She looks at his hair and pushes a stray strand back, smoothing it with her fingers until the guy dares to look away from her face.
“If you want, we can take a look sometime,” he offers cautiously, grabbing her waist a little tighter.
Kushing raises his eyebrows amusedly.
"Is that you talking or the whiskey you drank?" she asks slyly, discouraging him. The younger Miller bats his eyes as she tilts her head slightly to the side, waiting for an answer.
“Me, I guess,” he says and, looking thoughtful, adds a little more confidently: “Yes, definitely me.”
Anna smiles tiredly, weightlessly drawing intricate hieroglyphs on his shoulder with her fingertips.
“Yeah, alright,” she finally answers, agreeing to his proposal, “if Will doesn’t mind.”
“Oh, he’ll only be glad that I finally found something to do with myself,” Benny says with a smile and allows the laughing girl to spin around her axis, like a princess from a Disney cartoon.
“And Tom was saying that our princess doesn’t have a prince,” Santiago grins and takes a sip of champagne, approaching Will. He, casting a quick glance at his friend, barely noticeably twitches the corner of his lips into a smile, looking at the dancing couple. They silently watched as they circled along the path, looking at each other and quietly talking about something.
“I haven’t seen him so happy for a long time,” the elder Miller honestly admits when his brother carefully spins her around, holding her hand and pressing her to him again, without taking his eyes off her.
“She makes him happy,” Santiago said, watching them carefully, after which he turns to his frowning friend and shrugs, “You see everything yourself.”
Will chuckles, folding his arms over his chest. He sees. And this is only a small part of what he usually sees.
The song died down. Anna slowed down, which made Benny stop and look at her. There was obvious delight in his eyes, from which the girl could not restrain the laugh bursting out.
In his black suit, the jacket of which had long been wrinkled, a white shirt and a black bow tie, he resembled a schoolboy at the prom, dancing with a girl whom he had not dared to invite as a date for a long time. Tall, pumped up, ridiculously handsome, Benny attracted the attention of girls with just his appearance, not to mention his easy smile and blue eyes. It was as strange as it was exciting at the same time.
"Wanna drink?" Benny suggested, nodding towards the bar.
“I won’t refuse,” Anna smiled modestly, still holding the guy by the elbow.
They headed to the table and the guy picked up the bottle of bourbon, deftly pouring it into a glass.
“I could handle it...” the girl began hesitantly, but was interrupted:
“I want to court the lady,” Miller smiled charmingly, putting the bottle aside and handing her a glass, “I’m a gentleman.”
Anna snorted, but still took the glass from his hands and took a small sip, looking around at the guests. Her gaze caught on Will and Santiago, who were looking directly at them. They stood aside and the girl is sure that they were watching them from the very beginning. This almost brought a blush to her cheeks, but her face flushed even more when Benny touched the small of her back, drawing her attention to him.
"You okay?" he asked carefully, leaning slightly towards her.
Anna, looking up at him, ran her eyes over his face again. Something clicked in her head. A faint smile touched her lips.
"Yes. I'm okay."
With you.

The T-Shirt
Pairing: Benjamin "Benny" Miller x Anna "Edith" Kushing [not a couple yet]
Summary: Benny likes KISS. Anna is simply attentive.
Tumblr media
There weren't many things in Benny's life that he cared much about. He loved fights, glam rock, jogging in the morning, coffee with milk and Anna. All this was “sorted out” in his heart, according to how dear it was to the guy. However, besides all this, he loved, literally adored everything connected with the band KISS. Ben could easily be called their biggest fan, as he always bought everything he saw of them, be it a souvenir, a T-shirt or a poster. But what he loved most was his first T-shirt with the band's print - a vintage one, a gift from Will for his eighteenth birthday. Benny adored this T-shirt and wore it everywhere he could and could not, without taking it off. He liked it so much that he even wore it on a mission to Brazil when they made over $250 million.
This time was the last time for the T-shirt.
“Benny, it’s already full of holes...” Anna frowned, taking a T-shirt out of the closet when Miller Jr. called her to help with updating the wardrobe, “there are fewer holes in the sieve.”
“Gimme that,” Benny immediately blurted out, snatching the T-shirt from her hands as if she wanted to tear it up, “I’ll sew it up.”
The girl raised her eyebrows in a silent gesture, but tactfully remained silent, pursing her lips.
A few weeks later.
"Benny, open the door!" Will shouted from under the car, busy in the garage.
Benny, who was playing the console, growled in displeasure and paused the game, throwing the joystick aside. Quickly jumping off the couch, he walked to the door and opened it slightly, frowning. Behind it stood a young guy in a cap and with a box - a courier.
"Benjamin Miller?" he asked, looking at some papers.
“Yes,” Benny nodded uncertainly and leaned his hand on the doorframe, frowning slightly.
“Sign,” the courier thrust papers and a pen under his nose, “here and here.”
“I didn’t order anything,” the guy tried to object and return the papers to him.
“This is a package for you,” he explained patiently, nodding at the papers, “Sign it.”
Benny glanced at the box incredulously, but signed the papers. The courier, quickly thrusting the parcel into his hands, wished him a good day and quickly left, adjusting his cap.
Frowning in disbelief, the guy closed the door and walked into the living room, placing the box on the table. She was very, very light, which was too suspicious. Benny pursed his lips, opened it, and stood there, his eyes wide open.
Inside was a brand new "The return of KISS. Dynasty of 1979" T-shirt.
[On top of the T-shirt was a note that read: “Wear and enjoy life.
A.K."
It’s not difficult to guess who the package was from - Anna was always attentive to detail.
Benny gently ran his fingers first over the note and then over the T-shirt, unable to stop the wide smile spreading on his lips.]

Fight Nights
Pairing: Benjamin "Benny" Miller x Anna "Edith" Kushing
Warnings: Swearing.
Summary: Six months passed after the mission in Brazil. Having hit a huge jackpot, they continued to live to the fullest. The guys stayed in Florida while Anna moved away, laying low after leaving the Marine Corps. But a sudden meeting at Benny’s fight will apparently once again encourage the girl to continue communicating with the team. But the question is, what is she doing here?
Tumblr media
Santiago smiles broadly at Frankie and unconsciously glances behind him, not expecting Anna to be there. He hurriedly pats his friend on the shoulder and pushes through the crowd towards her, making sure that it is really her.
Tumblr media
"What are you doing here?" the man shouts over the sounding music, bending down so that she can hear him.
Kushing, looking up at him, raises her eyebrows in silent shock; a second later, her lips spread into a smile, and she hugs Garcia’s neck with one hand, rising on her tiptoes.
“Santiago,” the girl moves away from him and looks around, after which she looks into his eyes again. "Glad to see you."
“You as well,” he nods and grins, jokingly leaning over a little and looking into her glass, after which he approaches her face with a sly grin: “Alcohol is prohibited for children.”
Anna just rolls her eyes at this and, without taking her attentive gaze off the man, takes a sip and barely noticeably licks her lips.
"Cognac?"
"Bourbon."
"I was close."
She laughs when Garcia purses his lips, shrugs, and rocks the glass in her slender fingers, causing the ice inside to hit the sides.
"So, what are you doing here?"
"I came to watch the fight."
“Come on, you’re not into it,” Santiago waves it off before he can put two and two together: “really?”
"What?" Anna frowns slightly, but he manages to notice how the shadow of a smile slips across her lips.
"You're into it, damn it!" he almost shouts, covering his wide smile with his palm. "Oh gods, I can’t believe it! You've got a crush on Benny!"
"I am not."
"Bullshit!"
"Okay, call it whatever you want, but he's really cool. I put a double bet on him,” she watches Miller come out, and finishes her bourbon, wiping her lips with the back of her hand.
“You’re definitely crazy,” the man laughs, pulling her cap over her nose and exhaling with a nervous laugh, “Oh, fuck.”
“Shut up, San,” the girl waves him off and adjusts her cap, licking her dry lips.
Santiago glances at Benny, standing in the arena and ready to kick someone's ass, and then turns his gaze to Anna, a fragile-looking girl who definitely can (he saw it himself) punch anyone in the face and holds a gun better than the most trained soldier. They were definitely worth each other.
The music stopped. The battle has begun.

Being human
What if the team of guys on a mission had a sixth person - a female Marine from intelligence?
Epilogue
" ...minus expenses and our administrative fee. That leaves two hundred and forty-five million, six hundred and thirty-nine thousand, seven hundred and twenty-four dollars. [254,639,724]. Cut six ways which gives you six shares of forty-two million four hundred thirty-nine thousand nine hundred fifty-four dollars. [42,439,954]."
Anna listened to all this boring paperwork by one ear, mostly staring at her shoes and thinking that she needed to seal them so that they wouldn’t get torn somewhere along the way. Benny, noticing that she was bored, kicked her with the toe of his shoe, attracting attention.
"You alright?" he whispered with just his lips.
The girl just nodded silently and the guy smiled encouragingly at her, causing her to smile faintly in response. Santiago, who noticed this, exchanged glances with Will, who was sitting opposite him, and grinned, realizing that his friend had also seen these exchanges between Kushing and the younger Miller.
"Oh, and I need all of your signatures on the six contract here,” the lawyer handed the team some paper, “to confirm that all the money will be received by you all legally."
They took turns signing the document, after which they left the office, having previously agreed to meet on the street.
When Santiago, the last one left, finally went out into the street and handed out passports to the team, they couldn’t restrain themselves and laughed loudly.
“Holy shit, more than forty-two million,” Benny exclaimed in disbelief, taking off his cap and running his hands through his wet hair, “We are millionaires!”
Beside him, Anna laughed quietly, tugging at the collar of her shirt and pulling her sleeves up to her fingers.
"What about your work?" Tom asked, tilting his head slightly to the side and looking straight at the girl.
She smiled indulgently, shrugging her shoulders.
“I don’t know,” she answered simply, looking at the people passing by.
The guys looked at each other, pursing their lips. They knew that because of this adventure Anna would be kicked out of the Marine Corps and deep down they were ashamed of this. All their experiences were expressed by Benny, who stood closest to her - he patted the girl on the back and put his arm around her shoulders, encouraging:
"Don't lose your temper, m'lady. Maybe we should celebrate?"
“Sorry, I can’t,” she exhaled with regret, looking around at the guys, “I need to sort things out with my departure.”
“Of course,” Frankie nodded understandingly, “There will be enough problems now.”
The girl just pursed her lips, turning around to hug Benny.
“I’ll miss you,” he said, wrapping his fragile partner in a tight hug.
“Me too, Benny,” Anna answered, pursing her lips.
Having pulled away, she sent him a charming smile, after which she hugged each of the guys.
They gently squeezed her in their hugs goodbye, expressing words of support - each in his own way tried to cheer her up, for which Anna was very grateful to them.
“Take care of yourself,” she said, looking around for the last time at the team that had become so close.
“And you too,” Santiago echoed her, placing his hand on her healthy shoulder, squeezing slightly.
Smiling softly, she patted him on the forearm and turned around, slowly walking towards the station under the attentive gaze of five pairs of eyes.
“Holy shit,” Tom finally said when the girl disappeared into the crowd.
“Yeah, holy shit,” Will agreed thoughtfully.
Santiago, turning his gaze to the guys, chuckled briefly, covering his mouth with his hand.
A new life definitely awaited them.
