Vinyl, the Comeback!

There’s been loads written recently about Vinyl making a comeback, but in reality for a lot of us it never went away!

I used to love my weekly visit down to the local record emporium to have a rummage through the new singles, and scan the nether regions of the top 40/50/100 (or whatever the latest flavour was) to see what might fill a dance floor in the coming weeks!

With the advent of CD this somehow got diluted somewhat, and mp3 or the download chart, ruined it to the point where Sheeran destroyed the charts forever!

PETE STEAD DJS CEREMONY MUSIC SUGGESTIONS

Obviously a Wedding Ceremony is a very personal thing, and rather than trying to force you in a particular direction, we have come up with this guide, to give you a helping hand, and to save you the bother of trawling the internet, finding lists picked in the United States, and having to filter out their corny Country obsessions!

We don’t claim this to be an exhaustive tome, and you will no doubt come up with songs that are missing from the list, that you would have chosen, which is really the whole point! So use it as you will, or not at all, these are songs/tunes that have worked for others, but please be yourself!

The suggestions are split into three categories, Processional (Entrance of the Bride) Signing of the Register, and Recessional (Exit of the Bride and Groom), and to make things easier I’ve split each section into Traditional and Modern. Please also remember that in a civil ceremony you aren’t allowed any religious connotation, so forget God only Know, Angels and The Devil went down to Georgia!!

You may also wish to consider a few tunes for when the guests are awaiting the arrival of the bride, something calming works well! I did have one couple who thought it was hilarious to play break-up style songs, guess what? It wasn’t and a few people were quite confused by it – so don’t try to be too clever!
