i've just finished reading this fic a couple of days ago and my heart still refuses to let go of this peaceful and tender place by the sea.

i'm not that good with words, so this little drawing i made is my way of saying thank you. thank you for creating an utterly beautiful masterpiece; thank you for tired tired sea. your writings are timeless and will always be in our hearts <3

i also think that the stories they've already told could be because they couldn't say any new ones and bring more fuel to the fire bc management, or maybe since they're ghosts - they can't make any new ones

Two Ghosts is just SO ObVioUsLy about when management was keeping Harry and Louis away from each other and portraying the narrative that they hated each other.

Same lips red, same eyes blue, same white shirt, couple more tattoos = Louis

But it’s not you and it’s not me = the fact that they have to act differently now

But I can’t touch what I see = can’t touch Louis

We’re not who we used to be = again, same thing

Tongue-tied like we’ve never known = management not letting them speak about their relationship

Telling those stories we already told = chicken, stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in Parma ham, with some homemade mash

Cause we don’t say what we really mean = they keep resorting to that story cause obviously they can’t give the real answer about the romantic things they’ve done for each other

And then the chorus of course, the closeting has turned them into these ghosts of themselves. They can’t be who they really are, and it’s depressing.

Also keep in mind that Harry originally wrote this for 1D, but decided to keep it for himself because it was too personal. And he has said if you really listen to the lyrics you can figure out what it’s about. It’s so clear to me. I think that the closeting was really hard for their relationship, and we can see that in interviews too, with jealous moments, and Louis looking sad whenever Harry’s stunts are mentioned. Sigh.

Charlie is a happy little boy, he smiles and waves at everyone around him, making Louis the proudest dad. Charlie’s spark of personality and a well timed hello brings a stranger into his and Louis’ lives when they least expect it…
