I have the same thought. He wore mostly high collars in the show, probably so they wouldn't have to have a humanizing moment for him- to keep him distanced from the audience. But a humanizing moment (minus the death scene) would have been really good for character building in season one when he talks about it, even the top of the scar, COME ON!

Maybe I’m just a little freak but I’m mad that we didn’t get to see littlefingers ‘navel to collarbone’ scar in the show… I don’t just wanna see aidan gillens body shut up
