I'm glad that Phaethon's relationship with PubSec post reveal isn't just "we won't arrest you since you are our friends".

Instead they have a compromise of Phaethon being a useful asset to the group when needed in exchange of their freedom from a jail cell.

Even when the siblings help brought down a major conspiracy and helped the officers a bunch of times, they can't escape the consequences of the fact that their occupation as proxies is still illegal. Them helping with the Bringer case just gave them leniency.

I don't know about you guys but seeing that Phaethon's "friendship plot armor" (especially when friendship is a core part of the game) doesn't protect them 100% of time is nice from a story perspective.
