A1 - This isn’t new, but I think Abe-kun’s greatest charm is his kindness. He’s been kind to me even before I became a Snow Man member. Just earlier too, as soon as he arrived in the studio he immediately said “Koji, you did well yesterday” to Koji who had a solo job yesterday. His kindness is at a level where you can call it a talent.

A2 - Academic ability. Even though he is already smart, he still goes to study other things like English. It’s amazing how he still exerts effort to know more and improve himself!

How I became a Carat

So ever since end of May or start of June, I have been following this group called Seventeen, a group that debuted seven years ago.

Through my years of listening to Korean music since 2010, I have listened to many groups here and there but I have never gotten deep into most groups I have listened to.

For Seventeen, I have heard Adore U, Mansae, and Don't Wanna Cry but not much of their other tracks.

So when they appeared on Killing Voice, which is a series that I follow on YouTube, I obviously listened to it and I was like, how have I not heard more of this group before?

I knew Hoshi and Woozi vaguely since I do think they are the more well-known members amongst non-Carats for producing their group's choreography and discography. But I have no other who the other members are.

Here are my first impressions from the Killing Voice video only, no other videos.

The members that left me the strongest impression were Wonwoo and Dino.

In the video, Wonwoo did not seem as cheerful and excited as the other members, and also did not have many lines to sing. He was the only one who wore glasses and I do not know many idols who actually wear glasses when they had schedule so I was really curious who that was. Dino was another member who caught my eye as his voice in Home and Snap Shoot were really nice, and it was obvious in the video that he could handle raps pretty well.

So from there, I started watching their recent HOT promotions and found out about Going Seventeen, and let me tell you, that series is now another series that I follow on YouTube. I really learn a lot more about the members through the series and brought me a lot of laughter too.

Just a few days ago, it was announced that they were having the concert in Singapore and I was really happy and excited and thought about going. I have never been to any concert before and I never know when is the next chance that they would be coming to Singapore so I discussed with my friends and family if I should go for it or not.

I decided to go for it, and on the second day of the pre-sale, I manage to get a ticket. I am honestly grateful that I am even able to get any ticket as tickets sold out fast, and after experiencing the first pre-sale, it made me just appreciate and happy that I was able to even attend their concert in the first place.

Their concert will be held on 13 Oct which is a Thursday, and luckily for me, Thursday is the only day where I have no planned classes since my timetable for university is not fixed yet. And it fell on week 9 of the semester which is a pretty okay week since it would be after mid-terms and I would likely not have tests on that week itself.

Well, cheers to learning and loving Seventeen for now!
