I feel like it says something very telling that I've seen at least a few people who whatched Hazbin first and then Helluva and by like the end of the first couple of episodes already claim that they like Helluva Boss better than Hazbin Hotel.

Im not even gonna lie to you all, i feel like sometimes some of you guys give Viv's past art style too much credit. It's really not that much better looking.

Alright I've been thinking a bit more about Verosika. I get why she's so pissed with Blitz and it's valid. I just wish they let the female characters be anything beyond like, exposition or support or antagonists to the male leads. Because Verosika only really feels like she exists to be Blitz's bitter, bitch of an ex. We don't get to see her in any other context but being pissed off at Blitz, even when they aren't directly interacting with each other. Like Verosika going out of her way to find all of Blitz's exes, even counting his sloppy drunk make out sessions, within a 24hr time frame and invite them to her hate party in his dishonor.

I want at least an actual flashback of their relationship where we get to see what she was like before the break up, how much she actually loved him, how long they were together, what it was about him that made her fall so hard and/or just see her as a person outside of hating Blitz. Bc what i dont like about the way she's been handled is the show makes her seem kinda crazy. It's presumably been years and she's still OBSESSED with him that hating Blitz is all we really know about her, that and that she's a popstar which she doesn't seem to do much with either other than further promoting that she hates Blitz for all of hell and earth to know. Give her some other hobbies or interests, show what shes like towards Tex and her posé, SOMETHING.

Almost makes you wonder if the reason we don't ever really get Blitz's pov on his feelings on their relations is bc it'd be harder for viv to gaslight us into thinking he likes him too. By god is she trying, but without exploring Blitz's perspective it makes it come off that Blitz only likes Stolas out of obligation/feeling bad about hurting his feelings [or Stockholm's]. But if she did properly explore his side she'd realise that he only ever sees Stolas sexually harrassing him in unpleasant and uncomfortable ways, so why the hell would he fall for someone that treats him like that?

Lol wait i took a screenshot to check out the band later while i was watching a (probably Sarcastic Chorse) HB video and just realised how much it perfectly summarizes my feelings on Stolas.

This is the last im gonna say about Apology tour but, like this whole romance plot could have potentially been at least interesting if it was handled well. But as it stands it's just frustrating.

If there was actual nuance. If they would actually acknowledge that BOTH sides were and continue to be toxic towards each other, and not just having Viv try to cover her ass in tweets about "acknowledging both are at fault". It COULD have been a compelling melodrama about a weird relationship and miscommunication. But the main issue and this season's entire problem is that it only feels like they want us to see it from Stolas's POV, and hold his hand, and retroactivley justify his behavior in season 1 as "cute" naive flirting.

Every time Stolas gets a little self aware about Blitz never having been happy, and how wrong their deal was, and how maybe he didn't actually treat Blitz as well as he thought he did, its just one step forwards and 5 steps back and he either continues to ignore it in favor of his own fantasy of Blitz and their relationship or literally in the new episode OTHER CHARACTERS tell him to ignore the one logical thought he's had. We have not STOPPED getting Stolas's POV of how he sees Blitz, but we've hardly seen anything on how Blitz sees Stolas. other than thinking he's just a rich asshole and we're supposed to take that as like him being a "tsundere" about it. We get so little on Blitz's perspective that it feels more like the story trying to force Blitz into being into Stolas for the plot than actually developing an attraction to him (not even touching on the weird and highly toxic dynamic of their relationship past and present that again is just being played as like Stolas being naive).

It's just a constant dog piling onto Blitz and it doesn't feel fair. It doesn't feel fair that apparently we have to WAIT for another character to FINALLY call out Stolas when this entire season has been dedicated to calling out and blaming Blitz. It doesn't feel fair that even people in Blitz's life that should probably be a little more on his side, like Fizz or the I.M.P gang still feel like they're trying to make Blitz feel bad for not recognizing Stolas's feelings and/or won't actually listen or understand what their relationship was actually like and just make assumptions for him on how he's supposed to feel. It isn't fair that every little character flaw Blitz has is poked and prodded and called out but every character flaw Stolas has is ignored or temporarily reconciled (see every time he ignores his daughter and makes up with her) or excused as "but he's just naive cus he's new to love and rich and sheltered". Stolas keeps blaming Blitz for "always making it about sex" and "talking like Striker" and "I've never looked down on you" and I'm just SCREAMING for Blitz to call him out on his hypocrisy and stop groveling to him. Stolas and the show just has the worse habit of ignoring his flaws as real consequence-having flaws and won't stop victimizing him for it meanwhile Blitz is just constantly demonized for his flaws. The show feels like it plays favorites, and it's just so old and repetitive at this point and it's not fun and not compelling when i just go into every episode thinking "how are they gonna blame blitz and victimize stolas this time".

Honestly the more i see of HB, and the more i see of Blitz blaming, the more i become team Blitz. Fuck pretty much everyone else in this show tbh.

It isn’t even like it’s so obviously absurd its funny that party was portrayed as genuinely good coping habit GIRLS & GAYS get over him

I know there's no way they're actually gonna go through with this long term but i really wish they would just keep the Stolitz ship dead and they both just move on.

Or at least since we know they probably aren't gonna see each other for a bit, i wanna see Stolas try to like hook up with at least one other imp and treat them the way he treated Blitz, and with this Imp not being financially bound to him, let him KNOW "hey asshole, don't fucking talk to me, or any imp like that. It's not hot, wtf is wrong with you?". PLEASE JUST AT LEAST GIVE STOLAS SOME FUCKING SELF AWARENESS IF YOU'RE GONNA FORCE THIS SHIP TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY!!

Idk i personally don't really think Verosika is that well written. Her only defining feature really, seems to be just hating Blitz, to the extent she throws a fucking annual party to express how much she hates him. Everything we see her do or say is just like Purely motived by her feelings about Blitz.

Not to say she can't be pissed off about what happened and hate him for it, it's just, what even are her other motivations? Does she even have any? Yes Blitz is the main character of the show so it makes sense for us to use other characters to explore who he is and how hes flawed but it just seems like thats all there is to Verosika. I think they even kinda bring attention to it a little where she says something about how "she feels kinda bad/like the bad guy for hating him so much after all this time."

And that scene where they talk, not 5 seconds ago they were insulting each other and now she's giving him relationship advice and cake?? That was even more sudden and improperly built up and talked out than Blitz and Fizz's reconciliation. HB almost has a weird thing with Blitz where they're simultaneously making Blitz look like the bad guy for not recognizing/[immediately] reciprocating Stolas's feelings while also having people he's genuinely done wrong by just kinda instantly forgive him in the span of one scene???
