Character Introductions - The Duplus Twins

In the sign of Gemini reside the Duplus Twins, 8sy and Q. Appearing in three piece suits and flat caps, 8sy has an 8 ball motif and wears a black suit, and Q (with a cue ball motif) wears a white suit.

While both diplomats and both having a certain amount of charm, they’re both somewhat megalomaniacal and strive for power and control. Despite the fact they both strive for the same thing, 8sy is more aggressive, following a “Ends Justify The Means” philosophy. Q on the other hand is more underhanded in nature, relying on his polite demeanor to get him to a position of power.

The twins serve no master, and have no focus other than their bond as brothers, and the power they hope to obtain.

Character Introductions - The 33rd Infantry Division.

The members of the 33rd Infantry in the upcoming Terraphobia series.

The 33rd Infantry is led by Hog Squad, a squad of five people, although the entire division consists of over 250 men!

Hog Squad Membership

SGT. Piggy - A wall of a human being, standing at over 6 foot and as broad as a barn he is without a doubt the scariest man in the entire division if not the scariest man alive. Named for a birth defect causing his nose to resemble that of a pigs. He grew up in the small town of Plymouth, Indiana, and left to fight in WWI after his mother began to lose her mind. He’s obsessive about maintaining his gear, you would be hard-presses to find a crack in his gas mask, a scratch or dent on his helmet, or a tear in his uniform.

CPL. Fox - Standing at 5’5” with a toned body and an inexplicable need to be an asshole is Corporal Fox. Named such because of his agility, and his tendency to evade everyone during training events. Some swore there had to be tunnels because of how Fox would disappear and reappear. Fox hails from Medford, Oregon, and enlisted to make his parents proud.

LCPL. Legs - Having had his top half blown off in the war, and now just being a walking and talking pair of legs, people have realized where he comes from and what he does are kind of irrelevant, and that a magical pair of legs can kind of do whatever it wants. He sleeps in the closet.

PFC. Ram - Coming in at 6’ even, he is the corn fed farm-boy from Missouri, and while he isn’t exactly the brightest, he’s usually the most eager and willing to deal with a problem a head-on, sometimes to his own detriment.

PFC. Macaw - Standing at 5’6” he’s a smart ass that could give Fox a run for his money. He’s rarely content to sit around and do nothing, and prefers to plan on the fly. He grew up in the cold of Minnesota, and learned to survive on backpacking trips with his dad, the reason he enlisted is unclear.

Captain Shump is one of the first characters we meet, despite residing in the sign of Aquarius. He was the captain of Private K. Pennstone’s ship, however neither of them recognize each other.

Terraphobia Facts! #10

The Machinist resides in the sign of Capricorn, and his name is Pripyat Pripyat. He is the only one of the 12 signs to have a degree, and that is a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. The grandson of Tuck McMullen was one of his competitors in that field during the First World War.

In the sign of Sagittarius is The Sentinel, sometimes called The Sentry. She protects two very very valuable artifacts, though no one’s all too sure what they are.

The Wanderer, named IO, is named after a moon of Jupiter, not for any particular reason. I just think it’s neat. The Wanderer resides in the sign of Scorpio.

Private K. Pennstone, known as The Sailor, resides in the sign of Libra. He’s one of three characters that the 33rd Infantry Division allow into their barracks throughout the series.

The Priestess resides in the sign of Virgo, and she is largely focused around chaos. Personally, I think she’s a very fun character, and that she’s going to be a favorite among enjoyers of Terraphobia.

She’s the only one of the 12 to reject her sign, as she refuses to conform to the order that the signs bring.

In the sign of Leo is a giant rabbit, who lives on the moon. We (the co-creator) got the inspiration from Super Mario Galaxy. I liked my fact better.

For some reason when first writing the characters, I overlooked the sign of cancer, a mistake the co-creator was quick to correct. Out of this, we got the character “The Mother”, who I personally find to be one of my favorites.

The Duplus Twins, 8sy and Q, both struggle with bone deficiencies. 8sy suffers from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, while Q is arthritic.

This comes from the co-creator of the Phobiaverse, Calypso, struggling with Ehlers-Danlos himself, while I, Calliope, am predisposed to arthritis.

Associated with the sign of Taurus is the gunslinger Tuck McMullen! A ghostly cowboy separated from his lover, he wanders the stars hoping to find him again.

He has a long standing rivalry with The Duplus Twins.
