the problem with saying “oh it’ll wear off eventually!” is really not true though? like literally in her ending.... she still makes explicit implications to alto she wanna Bang and also they’re married. Married. her actual feelings, unfortunately, are the fact she loves alto and just couldn’t accept him rejecting her or the fact she was even “in love” in the beginning. it sure is gonna be awkward when years later lisette is like Um Actually I Like You Like A Brother Now Sorry :)

y’all had me in the first half, qualias are made up of emotions (originally negative until elcrest probably influenced that) but how much it directly influenced is unclear (bc stella glow is vague and yeah it sucks there’s no deeper things abt it but thats what makes it interesting to think about). the only direct links we see to actual Influence are mordi’s and even that is a stretch at best. yes the past witches show up but thats the Only time we see them because of their connection to the scores. maybe her qualia was influencing her bc of the misalignment but qualias are also heavily symbolism for the heart and the feelings tied to them (especially since only empathetic girls can obtain them according to ana). i think the qualia is more used for an output than an imprinting because of how its used in the game so i really don’t think it’d just wear off if she “gave into” it.

“Headcanon: The reason Lisette’s arc entails her “loving” Alto is less to do with her own feelings, and more to do with those of the previous water witch. The water qualia was specifically set and instructed to watch over Elcrest, which it did all the way from the first eclipse to present, with the same water witch presiding, until her death, over the body. Her feeling regarding Elcrest was preserved in the qualia itself as well, right until it’s passed into Lisette. Although Alto and Elcrest aren’t necessarily the same, the overlapping similarities in almost every aspect caused a sort of deja vu, with the qualia saying “love” while Lisette herself hadn’t believed that beforehand. The reason she couldn’t sing before the arc was because she and her qualia were locked in unconscious disagreement, until she caved and the “love” idea took precedent. Her actual feelings regarding Alto were closer to a familial bond before obtaining the qualia. Her mind tried to make sense of the discrepancies in emotion, resulting in the strange explanation she gives regarding how she felt that way about him. When allowed to live it out, the deja vu would gradually subside and her perceived feelings for him would likely revert closer to how they were originally.
