Instinct, huh! How Exhilarating

Both Elphaba and Galinda have been singing about their loathing towards one another, getting closer and closer to each other as Elphaba slowly stalks Galinda back until her back is against the wall, her hands slapping against the surface on either side of Galinda's head. Both: There's a strange exhilaration. With such total detest... Galinda kisses Elphaba Elphaba: (Pulls back) WHAT WAS THAT!? Galinda: (Panicking) I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T KNOW! Oh, don't look at me like that! It was just, just, Instinct! Elphaba: To kiss me? That was 'just instinct'? Galinda: Well, Miss Elphaba, not *just you*, but anyone that has me pinned up against a surface! Really, can you blame me? Elphaba: Yes, yes, I can blame you. Instinct?! Instinct she says, what in the- Galinda grabs Elphaba by the lapels and spins them so it is now Elphaba's back against the wall with Galinda pressing closer to her, leaning closer. Elphaba: (Swallows, eyes drooping to stare at Galinda's lips) Ohh...my, my hearts racing. Galinda: (Grins) Your face is flushing. Elphaba: (Leans forward, closer and closer) Instinct...huh! Elphaba kisses Galinda Galinda: (Smiles) Mm...how exhilarating. Elphaba: Stop. Talking. (Kisses her again) Galinda: I do believe I can get used to this.

the moment I heard elphaba's delivery of "there's a girl i know..." in i'm not that girl i knew i had to draw this comic, i strongly recommend listening to it while you read for the full experience!

this comic is a companion to this piece (which was inspired by glinda's delivery of the same line in the i'm not that girl reprise).
