@aleksibriclot: Concept art for Bucky previously known as the Winter Soldier for Thunderbolts. Played by @imsebastianstan I was going for a dark casual look, avoiding the Black Ops look I’ve used for the other teammates. Part of the brief was that at some point you couldn’t notice him in the crowd, avoiding any super hero look. (Except fog the arm as it seems an important visual signature for him, I know it’s tricky…)If you’ve seen the movie I guess it makes sense as he’s not joining the team at the beginning. (Here I don’t want to spoil more) part of the job here was also trying some haircuts (I’ve produced different variations just for this) and of course the arm!

Doctor Who S2/S15(?)
They barely marketed this, so it wasn't until I went looking that I realized the season was almost over. I binged the season this past week or two and enjoyed it.
No real stand-out eps I can recall, but I did like the companion more this season.
The one thing that really stood out was all the nostalgia: sequels to old episodes, previous companions and villains showing up. They've always done that, but it seemed like way more than usual.
So yeah, I'm not wild about this regeneration. I really loved this Doctor, he should have had a few more seasons. And a waaaaay bigger send-off.

The stars shine for him tonight, and though there is so much Obi-Wan has forgotten, he doesn’t think he’ll ever forget this.
the meteor shower scene from finding obi wan by @stolen-pen-name23 has stuck with me for so long and I’m so glad to have finally illustrated it! such a brilliant fic!

Fandom terms have to sound silly, like blorbo or squick, because fandom needs humbling. Not a lot. But just every so often you need a good grounding reminder that all of this is literally made up nonsense for fun.
If you take a fictional thing so seriously that silly words genuinely annoy you, you've gone too far and you need to dial it back.

Yeah, that entire scene made me uneasy and not just for that.
Alexei's comic relief, but not that silly. Walker is an ass, but competent; he'd know what 'the buttons' did after a year. And Ghost had like, one line? Not to mention that despite having made TWS and CW, they have some really weird views on Bucky.
Plus, since they probably weren't expecting them to be popular, I'm pretty sure they'll be considered an afterthought. They're going to mess up this team so badly. Most likely by making them the bad guys in this unnecessary drama.
Because yeah, I can sort of see Sam not being wild about Val's involvement and he might worry if he knows who/what Bob is. But to sue them over the name? That's dumb. It's more likely he and Bucky would just combine the teams.
Unless they come up with a really convincing reason for this (doubtful), it just feels like a way for them to make Doomsday feel like Infinity War.
It's honestly impressive how badly the Russos have already fucked up the Avengers' characterization (yet again) and got the fandom to turn on each other like a pack of rabid dogs.
The whole "suing over the Avengers name" thing is so stupid and contrived and the more sambucky-divorce-era discourse I have to slog through every time I venture into the tags the more annoyed I get. As if Sam or Bucky (or even the other Avengers except maybe Alexei) would give a shit what their teams were called. Why would they have any attachment to that name? The previous Avengers were barely a team in the first place. Half of them tried to arrest the other half and forced them to go on the run!
All Sam and Bucky care about is helping people. They wouldn't buy into the Avengers name propaganda and neither should you.

Urgent call to action for UK-based people.
The UK government is debating an amendment to a bill on Wednesday that would be the equivalent of making every trans person wear a pink triangle.
It would revert all of their identity documents to the sex assigned at birth, regardless of GRC or transition "status". It is a breach of the European Court's 2004 Goodwin vs. UK judgement, a violation of the human right to privacy and dignity. It is an appalling and ideological attack on trans rights that would make it impossible to live as a private transgender citizen in the UK.
(credit to @/safespacebristol for the above)
Opposition amendments are usually voted down. However, the Labour party is transphobic. It has supported and actively pushed attacks on trans rights. It has been supported by anti-trans hate group Sex Matters, among others, who have been flooded with far right money from the US. This could pass. Contact your MP, flood their inboxes. Call them.
If you ever wondered what you would have done in 1930-33 Germany, you're doing it right now.
Please. Help.

Tales of the Underworld 4-6 (Cad Bane)
Yeah, this wasn't nearly as good as the Ventress arc. Maybe I'm biased, because I've never been that interested in Cad Bane and always prefer him in small doses. But then, so does this show? He's barely in it, really.
I don't know, it was all kind of predictable and unnecessary. The music for this one was pretty good though.

Tales of the Underworld 1-3 (Ventress)
That was pretty fun. I enjoyed the new characters, the stories themselves moved along well. I liked that we got the Path again and I hope they do more with it in the future.
Only 2 gripes really, the start and the end. Behind the cut for spoilers, length, and a bit of negativity.
The start: Hooo, this is a big one. I know TotU is for us nerds, and not a big mainstream audience, but even then: the whole Dark Disciple thing is from scrapped TCW eps/a tie-in novel. Like, I know vaguely what happened, but I admit this Ventress arc would probably have meant more if I'd seen/read it. I (and probably a lot of other viewers) missed out on her redemption and relationship with Quinlan.
(Filoni sort of talked about this during the Ahsoka panel at SWC. He feels he always makes his stories accessible for everyone, and if there's stuff they miss it's like in ANH where Ben Kenobi explains about the Clone Wars and Vader, etc and we don't know anything about that. I was flabbergasted Filoni genuinely thought his stuff was accessible. Like, someone should stage an intervention.)
I also don't know how I feel about the Nightsisters really bringing someone back to life? Because 'love', apparently? That's a lot.
The end: This is a minor complaint. Mostly that it was kind of unoriginal and predictable. Like we've already seen it dozens of times before, in SW and elsewhere.
Also, did this kid speak this random language because the Temple teaches it, or because it's something Jedi can just do? Because the show seems to imply the latter, which is insane.
