When they started to feel something for each other, Anzu was the first to realize it, even though she doubted it all the time. She thought she was confusing love with affection/platonic love, that's not the case.

For Izuku, took much longer; there were too many things on his mind and in his life to take those emotions into account until they were already too strong. Although its realization was quite calm.

It genuinely does not matter how many followers you have or how much traction you get- popular or not- you should NEVER accuse someone of not loving their beloved, you should never invalidate someone for any reason, you cannot just make assumptions that because someone doesn't post about their beloved often that that suddenly means the person doesn't love them. What about the people who have secret f/os? The fact they don't talk about that beloved doesn't mean they don't love them. You have no idea what goes on in the more personal aspects of their life either- well known blogs cannot possibly keep up with EVERYONE that follows them. Plenty of people also just generally aren't that social? Your own social media blog is yours to make as you want it, if you only ever want to post but don't want to be super social there's nothing wrong with that, different people have different comfort levels when it comes to that sort of thing. Plenty of people have their dms or asks closed for that reason. This is a GENERAL thing too, this is not selfship exclusive, there are people like this in all communities. Selfshippers are actually probably the MOST mutually supportive group of people I've seen compared to other communities, or at least the communities I've been in. If you're a smaller blog yes your love is real and valid and it always will be, and yes it's okay to feel jealous, but that is never a reason to invalidate anyone else- there's certain ways to handle that emotion and there's certain ways you shouldn't handle that emotion.

Dont worry, I love rambles!!! Im not too familiar with the whole pokemon world, i only saw the movies and the serie where Serena is and one more but I was like 11 years when i stopped so, not much sticked, but if I remember something are some of the awesome designs and he blends perfectly with that style, its weird for me to think he isnt actually a character in the game

And im obsessed with the old design's color palette, tho I do agree its a bit cluttered, it has its charm, but your design clearly improved and i can notice that with your current self insert, it really screams BUG.

ALSO DAMN RIGHT THEY NEVER DID JUSTICE TO THE BUG TYPE, I remember loving them as a kid but the fact that I cant remeber clearly one bug type trainer is a blasphemy.

Your S/I's hair is one of the most creative design choices I ever witnessed and somehow it looks awesome and you rock it so hard??? A moth shaped hair sounds weird in the theory but it looks beatiful and I'm really impressed about how creative you are to come up with that in the first place !!!

(Pardon my rambling down below! I just ended up going on a whole rant about how I came up with it! LMAO)

I won't lie, I genuinely just came up with the hairstyle one day in a tired stupor before I even started this account, and dove into designing Art immediately! The head of the moth as the bangs was too good to pass up, especially once I gave him the side strands that looked like front legs hanging down! I didn't want to forget the concept, so I just drew it on the spot, and it went from there!

I had actually tried the moth/butterfly shaped hair a while back with my older s/i that I had planned to ship with N, named Citronell, but it never came together as naturally or as perfectly as it did when I designed Art! It wasn't bad, but it never felt quite right and so I really never used them past making their sprite sheet... (The mix of moth and orange slice themeing didn't help, it was just a bit cluttered.)

I've always been a huge bug type enthusiast, so all of my self inserts aside from my first ever one followed that theme, but I've always hated how... boring most bug type gym leaders look?? Nearly every other type of gym leader had some cool standout who showed off their type as clear as day and looked amazing while doing it, but bug type never had that! So Art really ended up being my bread and BUTTER the moment I drafted up that first sketch of him LMAO

I've been starved of out-there bug type trainers who aren't normal ass bug catchers or unbelievably vague on what they train just from appearance alone, and while Katy from the newest game is SO cute and it's undeniably the BEST bug type gym leader design we've ever gotten, it's just not the vibe I've been craving.

Another big reason I did it the way I did, and a much more fun one, is that we were still using the 2d pixel sprites back in Pokémon black in white, and I thought it would be BEYOND cool to have Art's head look a bit like a Pokémon at first glance in the overworld!

I proceeded to geek out over the result for the next two weeks LMAO Art's my pride and joy.
