To the anon, we’re truly sorry that you’re disappointed in the direction we’ve taken the pilot blogs. We wanted to make the story feel true to life and for their romance to develop over time so that it felt real when they got together - especially because we're doing this in real time, so we watch their love story blossom day to day and learn a little more with each post as it happens.

They certainly have a little ways to go; we felt that a lack of communication skills was so inherent to these characters' personalities that we wanted them to skirt around the subject for a little while before they made the plunge. It felt more in character to do it that way. We're really sorry if people are frustrated with that. I can guarantee that we're not going to make you wait too long for them to talk it out and realise what they truly mean to each other (i.e. everything).

in the pilot john and sherlock are much more open, and something definitely happened after the end of the episode. for me, these rp blogs look like echoes of the canon with minor variations.

I’ve been following these blogs since the beginning and I don’t think you’ve been reading properly; they fucked. Literally fucked. No, they didn’t jump straight into bed after ASIP but they were a lot closer and more open than they were in the actual show. Like… a lot.

Intimacy and romance… it is more than just kissing and sex, you know? Something did happen after their first case; it just wasn’t kissing nor sex. It was something else. Something which could not be put into words and both Sherlock and John knew that. 

These writers just chose to have Sherlock and John grow towards each other instead of taking away the growth of a romantic relationship whilst still getting to know each other. And frankly; that feels a hell of a lot more natural than them having to jump into bed together straight off the bat.

How about you take the time to actually read something before commenting like this? The people who are doing this brought back the joy and love I once felt for this show and I am forever grateful to them, so I’m sorry, but you’ve entered the wrong askbox. I’ll tag, but I doubt I’ll be doing it consistently due to flailing.

Are you going to continue with season 2?

First, we want to apologise for not posting more since their night of nights, but one of the writers involved in this project has been unable to access the Internet.

We’ve been planning profusely and have been bouncing off ideas for weeks and we want to continue past series four if you all still want us to until then. We’re enjoying ourselves immensely and reading your response to our little outburst of creativity. 

So yes, as soon as the other writer has access to the internet again, we will continue writing. Let’s see how our boys will handle Miss Adler, the Hound and Moriarty...

On timelines

You may have noticed that we have started TBB earlier than it’s shown on the blogs. We’ve decided to condense the story quite significantly because we have no interest in making you all wait for years! 

So we won’t be following the exact timelines any more and we may have to pretend that more time has passed than it actually has, but it’s all in the name of making this story right so we hope you don’t mind!

We’re planning some TGG stuff at the moment and that is particularly exciting for us ;)  We hope you are enjoying our version of TBB!

I (blog admin person) was at the airport charging my phone earlier as someone next to me was scrolling through tumblr when suddenly one of the posts from @pilotjohnwatsonblog came up! So if you were at Gatwick airport today and saw the post My New Friend while on your dash, you were sat next to me haha! What a small world this fandom is.

We are so excited, because just this second John’s @pilotjohnwatsonblog hit 1000 followers!

Sherlock’s @pilotscienceofdeduction has just over 750 followers at the moment, and most of the comment blogs (a list of them can be found here) are hovering at the 100 mark.

We’ve only been doing these blogs for four days and to hit that many followers is something we never dreamed of. Thank you to everyone who’s following, it means the world to us.

Recreating the Pilot!verse

After series 4 of Sherlock ended in a way so many of us were disappointed in, we decided to set up John and Sherlock’s blogs as it would have happened in the pilot universe. Their blogs are:

Today is the 29th January, the day when our boys meet. We can’t wait to start their adventure and show you how it unfolds

The posts that you see will be lifted directly from the official John Watson blog and the Science of Deduction but with some changes that will become important as time goes on.

I suggest when reading the blogs, you go to the official websites and read those too so you can notice the little changes, it’s really fun that way. All of the cases will be the same but as John and Sherlock’s relationship grows there will be some huge differences which should be fun to compare!

The other blogs and commenters are here as well! A list of all of the blogs that are making comments (Mike, Mrs Hudson, Harry etc.) is here so you can track those too if you want to. We want to recreate the entire Sherlock world!

We’re going to be updating this in real time as far as possible. We obviously don’t want to make this last seven years so eventually the posts will be closer together.
