"EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY"

In my Empowerment Technology class, I’ve learned a lot about how important technology is in our daily lives. One of the biggest things I realized is how technology makes communication easier. From using social media to sending emails, technology allows us to stay connected with others, even when we are far apart. It made me appreciate how the internet and digital tools have transformed the way we interact with people.

One of the important things I learned was how to be safe online. We talked about things like privacy, passwords, and avoiding scams. Before this, I'm not really careful about my online accounts, but now I know how to protect my information better. It made me more aware of the risks that come with being on the internet.

I also learned how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel better. Before, I only knew the basics but now I can do more better. With Word, I learned how to format documents properly for school reports. In PowerPoint, I discovered how to make interesting slides using animations and pictures, making my presentations more engaging. Excel was the hardest for me, but I now know how to organize data, use formulas, and create charts, which is really helpful for handling numbers.

In my Empowerment Technology class, I learned how important proper etiquette and netiquette are for effective communication. Being polite and respectful, whether in person or online, can make a big difference in conversations. I realized that simple actions, like using kind words and listening, matter a lot. I also learned online rules, like avoiding all caps and thinking before posting. This knowledge has helped me become more mindful of my behavior, encouraging me to create a friendly and respectful environment in all my communications.

Lastly, I explored various social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others, learning how they connect people and help us share our lives. Facebook is excellent for staying in touch with friends and family while sharing news and joining groups that match our interests. Instagram focuses on visual storytelling, allowing users to express themselves through beautiful photos and creative posts. TikTok encourages fun and creativity with short videos that showcase trends and personal talent. I also discovered apps like Pinterest for finding inspiration and Threads for sharing thoughts in a more focused way. Overall, understanding these platforms has helped me see how technology allows us to communicate, create, and connect in exciting ways.
