Regretavator headcanons: Spud part 2

Sarah has seamlessly slid into the role of helping take care of Spud. Spud is now pretty much attached to her hip and they even just share a bed. In a completely platonic way Spud loves to sleep at the very foot of Sarah's bunk while Sarah herself buries herself under like 6 blankets. This not because Spud struggles to take care of himself it's just that she helps a lot with his trauma and his flashbacks. She does a great job of keeping him grounded and to chase away the nightmares. She's always there to comfort him through flashbacks. That's all she has to do, Spud can cook, drive, walk, run, whatever on his own. Spud just can't be alone with himself anymore after whats happened to him.

Yes he has been kicked off the bed on accident by Sarah a few times. The thudding of his body hitting the floor always wakes her up.

The Two Stud camp was originally created for youth recreation. Youth aged 11 to 17. The camp is still up and running even after Spud's grusom abduction. There's no hiding what happened to Spud but the staff still tries to avoid the conversation about it. The kids are often scared of Spud because of his appearance when they first arrive at the camp but they quickly grow to find him fun. He tends to join in on games or create games to keep the kids entertained. He's still quite silly, goofy, dorky but he's fun. Sometimes teens don't want to immerse in the games and would rather text or just be alone. That's ok, sometimes people just aren't in a good place and he's been a great leaning ear to these teens as well. He's just good to vent to.

He meditates. He goes through breathing exercises and just blanks his mind for about 30 minutes every other day

He's slow sitting down. He lowers one side onto his elbow then lowers to the other elbow then just plops his torso down after that with a dad groan. He relaxes his shoulders to and sighs.

Spud has taken Sarah on the elevator with him before. Of course who's the first person she meets?.....Bive. Bive scared her and Unpleasant made her cling to Spud out of discomfort.

He still has the same voice and pitch as he did before his abduction but He does have a lisp now. The shape of his mouth and the sharp teeth inside cause the lisp.

He has regular doctors appointments to check up on his status. His GP is super cool and loves talking with Spud about all sorts of things. It was difficult but Spud's GP knows about what's happened that caused Spud's appearance.

He can now move his eyes in their own independent directions. His eyes are not exactly in tune with each other and can look and move in different directions like a chameleon.

He has a nasty habit of popping his knuckles and his neck. His knuckles pop the loudest sense he uses his hands to walk and it puts strain on the joints.

He does drink, he's an adult after all. He once ended up getting so drunk at one point he couldn't walk back to the cabins without falling over so someone had to carry him. Yea he woke up grouchy and debridden with a nasty hangover. He shut the bathroom door in someone's face when they went to check on him while he was throwing up.

He likes to gamble and bet money. He's really good at cards to, his poker face is amazing. He's pretty good at limiting himself but he has blown a good amount of money in the past when he let it slip him.

Spud and Party Noob have regular contact. Spud is not a fan of Party Noob's parties and does not attend them but they do have nights where Party Noob will have a small gathering at their place to have some drinks and play some poker or board games. Split and DrRETRO are often in attendance in these gatherings. Sarah has been to a couple with Spud. The strange creatures freak her out but she became fast friends with Split and has her phone number.

He gets nasty when he's angry or gouchy. He can get grouchy pretty easily. It's cannon he has some anger issues. He doesn't exactly scream/yell, but rather gets snippy with people. There are times were he’s thrown things or hit objects. He’s swatted at people before but never more than open hands swats or nudges/shoves with his shoulders

His memory is bad. He often forgets things or people he hasn't known long.

He's mildly allergic to nuts. He gets hives and it gets a bit hard to breathe.

He loves this one game console thats a lot like a Switch. He doesn't have one of his own but one of the other staff members has one and lets him borrow it. It’s a bit shocking to know someone so sweet plays some pretty violent games. He likes the games like GTA or fighting games where he can just beat the devil out of digital people, he does play them on mute though.

Car rides cause him to fall asleep. He just zaps out after about 20 minutes. His blinking gets slower and slower until his head starts to slump and bam, he’s asleep. When he’s out, he’s OUT and drools on himself. He's always fallen asleep in cars.

Regretavator headcanons: Spud

According to his wiki he was abducted by the same species of aliens that Gnarpy is apart of. Matter of fact xey were one of the many ships taking part in the invasion of Spud's camp. They changed him, he used to be human. His wiki says that he was in massive pain after the abduction and judging from the pictures his old friend Sarah still excepts and loves him greatly. She was the one that found Spud. She found him laying in a clearing, changed beyond recognition but she could tell it was her old friend. She thought he was dead but he moved when she tried to shake him. She helped take care of Spud while he was recovering. She cried and screamed the first time she saw what they had done to Spud, not out of fear but pure pitty and compassion for Spud.

Spud was never the same after the abduction. He was pretty lax and chill and calm before the abduction. After the abduction he was clearly messed up. He would cry and sob a lot, rock, sway, stare off into space, endlessly wander in circles, he just kept saying 'spud' again and again. He still seemed to recognize Sarah though and would get very excited to see her as well as other staff members.

He still goes through periods of time were he just wont eat. He just doesn't feel like eating. During these times he will normally get about 1 or 2 meals in when forced so he doesn't starve to death. If he does eat during his off periods he seems lethargic and grouchy. He course will eat things like candy, fruit, and little scraps of things here and there when he's gone off his meals, but it's all only for the way it tastes. Sarah is the one trying to get him to to eat the large bulk of the time. He had gone off his meals again at some point and it was stressing Sarah out so much. Spud woke up confused and scared to Sarah standing over him while he slept with mac and cheese trying to get him to eat it. She had been busting her tail the last couple of days stressing and helping Spud as well as doing her job she had slipped into sleep deprived delirium and wasn't fully all there.

The poor guy started having flashbacks shortly after he was found. He would just freeze up and start shaking, tears spilling out of his eyes. The staff would have to console and comfort him through these. All he really needed was to be held and gently spoken to. After these flashbacks he would just cry and cry and cry until he ended up exhausting himself.

The first half a year or so he was struggling. He didn't say anything but "spud" the whole time. Sarah was helping get his medications ready one early morning while Spud laid in bed right behind her. She turned around and approached him. She was shocked to hear him say "thank.....you". She very gently patted his arm "it's not a problem bud. Now open up time for meds"

He sits very politely. He will cross his hands like someone crosses their legs. He kind of looks like a lion sometimes with the way he sits and looks around, just watching the world.

The camp staff all very much still love Spud regardless of what's happened to him. He's actually still sort of employed at the camp he just doesn't do anything public facing, his appearance tends to startle people and people throw bitch fits. The person running the camp jumped in his car and drove over the speed limit on his day off when he heard that Spud had been found. He stared in horror seeing what had been done to Spud. He couldn't bring himself to fire someone that had gone missing and he just never did even after Spud had been found. There were some things Spud had to relearn to do but that's no issue at all, they can make time for that. The manager does not stand for any bitch fits about Spud, Spud has every right to be there and to be paid.

The poor guy has night terrors sometimes and wakes up screaming and wailing. He normally ends up waking the others up in which they are there to calm him down.

Sometimes the staff pick him up but he's heavy so it doesn't happen a lot. He likes being picked up and held up high or helped up onto higher places. He loves affection. Sarah can often be seen hugging on him or comforting him platonically.

Head massages feel great to him. He tends to get headaches and migraines a lot so a little pressure on his head feels amazing.

He doesn't speak unless spoken to first. Sometimes he can go up to week not saying a word. He doesn't really have much to say anyways. He does laugh and chuckle a lot though which is nice to hear.

His eyes look tired and sad regardless of how much sleep he gets. He is truly sleepy all the time anyways and takes like 1 nap per day in the middle of the day. He falls asleep a lot. He makes a cute sounding humming noise sometimes when he's asleep, limbs will twitch every now and then and man he snores. It's not super loud but it is prevalent and a little annoying. 100% tummy sleeper. He has a hard time sleeping on his own to, He wants to be in the same room as other people and will even often climb up onto the foot of staff beds and curl up. The bed suddenly being jerked around as something hops up is completely normal and often earns a "Hi Spud" "Spud buddy" "night night bud"

He tends to sit on peoples chests as well like a cat. He's shockingly heavy so people don't put up with that for long periods of time

He dissociates a lot. It presents as him just staring off into space and not speaking.

He gets little scraps and bites of food from staff members he wanders up on. He likes to just taste things and no one minds sharing. He often just eats or plucks it right out the hand handing it to him with his mouth, easier than trying to balance on one hand or whatever. Due to this he sometimes accidentally nips peoples fingers. It just hurts a little and really no damage done. He never means to nip people, completely an accident.

He's super super sweet in nature. He honestly just wants to be around people and feel apart of things. He likes to hold people's hands when he's sitting or stand so close to people that he's basically leaning on people.

New hires at the camp are startled by Spud the first time they meet Spud. Luckily it doesn't take these new hires long to become friends with Spud. He's really good at just listening so people really like info dumping on him or showing him their hobbies. He is genuinely interested in what makes them happy to and tries to partake.

Sometimes Spud will get a small burst of energy that turns into the zoomies. He just starts running around. Sarah always loves it when he does this because she gets up and chases him around, then the tables turn and he starts chasing her around. It's those moments Spud will always remember, so much fun just being a silly.

He laughs in this slightly creepy slow belly laugh. It’s not monotone but does as a rather deep base “haw haw haw haw” sound. It truly is a soul laugh and it makes others around him smile. He doesn't laugh very much so it’s stark when he does.

gonna go on a little tangent for Asian Spud (specifically Chinese Spud) bc she's lovely She forgets what Chinese tradition is due to the incident but remembers that somewhere around late January to early-ish February it's "an important holiday" so he starts wearing a red bowtie instead of the usual blue, maybe even try and remember all those Chinese New Year phrases she'd been taught but only murmuring parts of it. I'd like to think she remembers one phrase fully: "恭喜发财" (gōng xǐ fā cái), which means "Congratulations and raise / grow lots of wealth.", so he blurts it out - oftentimes confusing others. The red envelopes are something they look forward to: while unable to write Chinese characters he instead attempts to fold them - with mixed results. (with this, there is a chance some of those envelopes have coins in them, thus the hint "Click Spud for free coins!")
