The struggle of clothes shopping for a child with digestive disorders is finding pants that fit both around the waist and leg length. Forget gendered clothes; if it fits, I’m buying it.
I've seen people post GIFs of their Bettas flaring before and I wanted to ask you people if you could help me out with my Betta... I'm afraid that he is constantly flaring or something. If that would really be the case I am concerned about his well being. The thingies on the side of his face keep going up and down, so it doesn't stay up like a real flare but it also doesn't just lay flat. Does anyone know if this is normal? Should I be worried that he's too stressed or something??
First—I got talking with an LGBT+ co-worker last week, and I mentioned how Pride month coming up got me thinking about how I wouldn’t love either of my kids any less if they eventually told me they were part of that community. Why? Because right now, if someone asked me why I love them, I’d say it’s because my 5 year-old has the craziest movie-quoting ability, and he hoards *every* blanket in our house. It’s because my 18 month old has a massive case of Resting Bitch Face unless her big bro is ANYWHERE near her and she bursts into the widest grin and just laughs nonstop. I love them for a million little reasons like that and NONE of that has to do with sexual orientation or gender identity.
Second—I got fitted for a powder blue PowerPuff Girl-style wig for my sister’s wedding. As I was there, a girl who couldn’t have been more than 17/18 was looking for a purple wig with not a lot of enthusiasm from her parents. The wig she picked out looked AMAZING on her, so I told her that. The happiness in her face when I said that meant so much to me. I can only hope that some day some stranger might be nice enough to show a random act of kindness to my kids.
