Ayyyy happy birthday to my mountain bike!!!! My MTB was born 7 years ago today! I've pushed this rig really hard, and it's treated me really well despite a lot of tough love. I haven't been racing for a couple years, but this bike has seen a good deal of Cat 1 XC races including the Windham World Cup and a National Champ race in Pennsylvania. I've pushed this thing hard enough that the lower castings of the original shock got permanently tweaked pushing the wheel almost a centimeter off center 😂, and since then been running it with a rigid fork for simplicity and less maintenance. I've got a lot of great memories riding this bike, and glad to still have it rolling ❤️ Getting out later today for a fun ride to celebrate! HBD bike! ----------- ( #oldbikeday #mtb #mountainbike #xcmtb #29er #goodtimes #steelhardtail #nfgcycles #nice bike #noiceboike #happybdaybike ) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNxuGa8B0Pu/?igshid=vpr0ame1ggpl

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! This weekend was my touring/commuting/do everything bike's 8th bday! I love this old beast. In addition to being my all weather daily driver, getting from A to B, this bike and I have been on some really great adventures together. Long distance rides, getting rowdy on singletrack, exploring all over, a big tour in California... all sorts of wild rides, in all weather, and light or dark. Every time I hop on this rig, it really just feels like home. ❤️🚴❤️ Happy bday bike! (at Pioneer Valley Frameworks) https://www.instagram.com/p/CND5fSqlrk8/?igshid=1qnskh83e84v4

Hey people! I want to give a heads up that PVF is not taking new orders at the moment. I will be working through the current build queue, completing my move to an upgraded shop space, and waiting for the bike industry’s supply issues to normalize before taking on new bike orders.  Please reach out if you are interested in having me build you a bike in the future: I am not taking orders and deposits now, but I will take down your contact info as well as the date that you contacted me. Then, once I’m ready to take new orders I’ll be contacting folks in the order that they reached out and can then coordinate building some sweet bikes for those who want one.  Fittings: I still have bike fitting services on pause until we are further through the pandemic… we are getting closer though! If you’d like a fitting, please let me know and I will put your info down to contact you as soon as I’m able to resume fittings again.  Bike Parts, Frame Materials & Supply Issues: Many are aware of this, but the bike industry’s production and supply of bikes, components, framebuilding materials… really anything bicycle related, has been terribly disrupted from the pandemic. I had really thought that supply issues would be resolving by this point, but unfortunately many are saying it will take much of this entire next year, if not longer, for the bike industry’s supply issues to normalize. These supply issues have put myself, and most in the bike industry in a difficult situation- please bear with us as we are all trying to do our very best to get things back to normalcy. I am very excited to say that it seems that frame building materials are becoming more and more available again (just received a couple shipments of tubing, yay!), but general bike parts, bike accessories, etc are unfortunately still going to have spotty availability for some time.  I’m really looking forward to the months ahead with vaccines being distributed, good riding weather on the way, exciting projects on the docket, and PVF’s move to a new and upgraded workspace- it’s been a hell of a year to say the least, but fortunately the future is looking bright! Happy riding to all, and hope you’re doing well! https://www.instagram.com/p/CMkfJ-xh3_-/?igshid=1i82bzb8xmtdn

Big news! I've been keeping this a bit on the DL until things were further along, but PVF has been in the process of moving to a new shop! The new space is going to be nearly double the size of the current shop, and will have a dedicated room for doing bike fittings and offering a bit of retail items on hand... No more having to do fittings in the middle of heavy machinery and metal chips haha! This new shop has been a huge goal I've been planning and working towards for a solid TEN YEARS, and I'm really excited to say it's finally becoming a reality! The new building has needed a lot of work to be move-in ready- there has been a lot of progress, but still a good ways to go... Bit by bit getting closer though! The new location will be just one town over, and don't worry- still in the PIONEER VALLEY! 😁 https://www.instagram.com/p/CKmInmIlVsw/?igshid=7hbn2hik0so6

About 5 yrs ago I made this funky spindle speed tachometer for my ol made in 1984 CNC machine (Bridgeport Series II Interact II). My CNC has a variable speed head which is missing a stop to tell what the spindle speed is, so I designed and made this funny setup. A magnet is on the spindle and a Hall-effect RPM sensor is flipped down to be able to read the RPM of the spindle. The RPM readout is in a neat enclosure that I made that keys all together and has an on/off switch and runs off a DC adapter for power- still workin great 5 years later! Love this old machine and all its quirks- it still makes great parts, has made me learn so much and there is still far more production and capability I can get outta this old beast ♥️ (at Easthampton, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKXyidXlvQX/?igshid=1h31azt1rtvuo
