A crew of Crabby Corsairs

The concept is a shipwreck inhabited by a giant hermit crab. He’s accompanied by a curmudgenous crew of corsair crustaceans. It seems I’m not the only builder to have been inspired by the adorable LEGO hermit crab fig! It’s surely one of the best LEGO animals out there?  I had been hoarding interesting pieces to build a reef for some time, so I was really happy to finally put them to use. I had a great time assembling that little atoll beneath the shipwreck.

Trash Panda Hideaway by cactus cat

The raccoons have taken their dumpster diving to the seven-seas! The world's oceans are no longer a deterrent to their scavenging and plundering. Their island hideaway is where they guard their loot and barter with other rogue, swashbuckling wildlife. And it is nearly impenetrable thanks to their trashcan cannons that pelt would-be invaders with soda cans, pies, and basketballs. The hideaway is also home to the renowned Grubby Paw tavern. Can you even say you've really swash-buckled without having thrown back a pint of egg-grog at the Grubby Paw?

PlunderCats: Hideout on Cat Skull Island

PlunderCats are on the move, PlunderCats are loose! The PlunderCats are a band of ferocious feline pirates lead by the fearsome Captain Fluffybeard. Their ship is basically just a box with sails since the cats are usually more interested in the crate that the pirate ship parts arrive in than the actual ship itself. Their hideout is located in the middle of the Catribbean on Cat Skull Island (which used to be inhabited by Mouselanders) and is essentially a big cat tree. This is where they are keeping their enemy, the scurvy dog Admiral Barkington, hostage and where they are hiding their most prized treasure, the Golden Cheezburger. Plunder, plunder, PlunderCats yo-HO!

Cursed Crew of the "Sirens Lament"

Finnius Sharp was a powerful Sea-Sorcerer and Captain of the "Sirens Lament". So confident of his magical and seafaring abilities he pursued a spanish treasure galleon into the fearsome whirlpool known as the devils throat. When the majority of his crew abandoned ship he used his spells to navigate the ship with just a skeleton crew of his three most trusted lieutenants - binding them to his craft against their will. His ship went down tethered to the Galleon by some foul magic triggered by his greed for gold. Such was his lust for the treasure that his soul was bound to the Spanish gold and the surrounding environs of the galleons wreck. HIs crew were stuck with him and each mutated. The most valuable and cursed treasure itself took on a life of its own and became a creature in its own right.... Left to Right Bosun Robert Logan - a fearsome bare knuckle Fighter - his first became mighty claws and his mouth a tentacled beak! His fearsome temper spiralling even further out of control. Has developed a terrible lisp and is responsible for giving the magical chest it's nickname "Trevor" Cap'n Finnius now roams the sea as a shark. attacking small sloops and killing the crews to reanimate them as skeleton crew... He uses "trevor as bait" to lure in bigger prizes and then sends them down to the deep as food for later their booty goes over the side aswell! "Trevor" is creature born of foul magic that cursed Finniues. He cannot leave Finnius side, neither can Finnius escape from him even if he wanted to. Trevor takes great pride in taunting the Captain with the finest booty stored within his gaping maw. Trevor enjoys maiming anyone who comes close enough to pick up the occasional coin he burps up and enjoys his role as Lure (it means he gets fed regularly). Ships lookout and Nightwatchmen Linus Hooper became Lantern Fish - cursed to patrol the deep in service to Cap'n Finnius for the rest of eternity. A frightful insomniac - he can't sleep with the light on and can't even close his eyes... Aiden Moore - a loyal but not particularly bright crewman - the only one not to abandon ship when the "Sirens Lament" entered the whirlpool. Fearless and not quite the full sea biscuit you don't want to make an anemone out of him..

MOC Showcase: Akrathian Pirates

As with any fantasy world, Akrathia is filled to the brim with all manner of unsavory scoundrel who have chosen to call the treacherous seas their home. Chief among these is the crew of the Castillon, a dreaded river schooner captained by none other than Rodrigo the Corsair, the most charming and daring pirate Akrathia has ever seen. 

The ship itself uses the viking-ship hull from set 7018, while the rest is completely custom built, including the sails. The ship is armed with twin harpoon launchers on either side of the bow. Other smaller details include a ship’s bell, a helm, and a captain’s cabin complete with a map table and treasure chest. 

The crew consists of Rodrigo himself, with Voza Dulce to his left, and Roscoe to his right. The Wulvan is Grimwein, the boatswain, and to the far right is Louis, the Quartermaster.
