I did read a study like this about a year back, and I think it was focused on treating people who hadn't offended at all yet, it was more a preemptive therapy thing.

And honestly, it doesn't matter if they're 100% cured. What matters is that they don't hurt any kids. I don't care about what's in their head, I care about what they DO. If they don't reoffend, then it's worked.

It depends on what you’re going to be using it for. Solid state drives are faster and harder to break, but hard drives have more space. So ssd’s are better if you’re running a bunch of programs at once, and hdd’s are better if you’re trying to store a bunch of stuff.

The RAM is also important, depending on what you want to do with it. If you’re a gamer, or you run programs that eat a lot of ram (like photoshop or something), than I would spring for the 16gig memory. If not, 8gig memory can run things at an acceptable level.

Basically 8gig, 1TB: Will store a lot of files and do most basic things. 16gig 512GB: Will run programs much faster/smoother, but will store a lot less.

Personally, I would get the i7 for the speed, and then get a removable 1TB for storage.

So as I said I just finished Trespasser DLC. And if you are new to the fan-dom you should stop reading now. 

I had very few spoilers. I played through that last conversation with Solas twice. 

Now I had seen the little cut scene at the end of the main story credits - so I’ll assume that the part about Fen’haral is true.

But I’m just wondering….why would we take anything else this nut-bag says as true?

Okay, I just wanna say how coincidentally brilliant the Archon one is. Apparently he smells like almonds and wealth. Of course almonds smell like almonds, but you know what else smells like almonds? 

Cyanide. 

In fact, that’s one of the reasons Cyanide is so lethal. Aside from being incredibly powerful (as poisons go) it often smells and tastes like almonds, so people have no idea they’re being exposed to something deadly. 

So when you first meet him, he smells like almonds and wealth, sweet and luxurious. But then you find out the truth from Jamaerah, that he was the first one to fall to Corruption, that it was able to spread from him until it infected all of Lostlight. That he lulled you into a false sense of security by pretending to be harmless.

And then you meet him again, and he smells like almonds and wealth, and you realize he’s been deadly all along.

Here’s the thing about body-shaming: you can’t do it on an individual basis. You can never body-shame only one person. If you make fun of a physical feature of someone you hate, it’s going to affect everyone who shares that feature, regardless of whether they share the trait that made you want to mock them in the first place. 

If you make fun of a racist actress’s lips, you are implying that that feature is bad, and then anyone who shares that physical feature is going to be hit by that, regardless of whether they are racist themselves.

If you make fun of an evil politician’s body type, anyone who shares that body type will be hit by that. 

When you body-shame, you are tying personality traits or evil actions to physical traits. You are tying racism to fatness. You are tying misogyny to big noses. You’re taking morally neutral traits–physical ones–and attaching unnecessary moral weight to them. Attractiveness is not synonymous with goodness. Unattractiveness is not synonymous with evil. 

Suddenly being fat isn’t just a physical trait–it’s an indicator of moral worth. 

It doesn’t matter if someone “deserves” to be body-shamed or not. There is no way to mock their appearance without it also hurting innocent people who happen to share features with that person. 

When people say, for example, “stop fat-shaming Donald Trump” they’re not saying “you’re being so mean to Trump and he doesn’t deserve it.” They’re saying “you are inadvertently hurting people other than Trump, including some people who are already hurt by Trump himself.”
