What on earth do you do when making a gijinka story-- do you redesign existing characters, like Gym Leaders and whatnot-- or make your own entirely??
I've been so intimidated to start, but I finally shut up and made few attempts. Phoebe and Glacia of the Elite 4 were surprisingly comfortable!
What do you guys think? Do they work?

Funny to think that Dragonflies are the only insects that can perfectly be still on the air, they're the most flexible wings in the whole planet. Each follow-up can give a bend of its own and allow maneuvers and they also fly backwards LOL
Blurr you cheating in the wings score >xD
Ohhh fairy Blurr is. SOOO Cheating in the wings score hahah
Shockwave has to do the whole exercise just to pull himself up in the air while Blurr just "lol check this out" goes straight up in the air from lying on a bed.
I just know he is flexing on other flyers by going backwards and still being faster than them Lightning McQueen style.

why bother caring about the environment when 1. It’s so obviously a lost cause and 2. There’s definitely going to be a nuclear war?
And what are you doing about it Anon? Learn about ecological restoration or get out of my way.

if you’re a white creator and your brown/black characters are always sassy, reckless, aggressive or cold and your white characters are always soft, demure, shy and introverted you should think about maybe why you did that
#I....#I grew up with different racism stereotypes tbh#so usually skin color didn't matter much but more where the person came from#I am saying this as an european who knows that the people from the country beside mine are getting called slurs#but they are or would be seen as white#so while I myself wouldn't think of these things through color I am holding myself accountable anyway for how I treat others#both personal and in writing#it's also good to know and be made aware off of other steretypes and what to avoid

One of my favorite stories to tell about myself from when I was a kid is the story how my grandma’s “Catching Fairies” game was banned because of me
So when I was really little my grandma had this game she made up, she’d give me and all my cousins jars and containers and tell us that in her garden there were fairies but they were smart and tricky so they disguised themselves as caterpillars and butterflies and as grasshoppers and worms.
Whoever caught the most ‘Fairies’ won but we had to set them all free because they tended to the garden
One summer day my brothers were at the age they were dreading ‘girly’ stuff so I was playing alone
At this point I had met all the fairies in the garden and I was getting bored without any competition and with finding the same old fairies
But then just as I was begrudgingly heading back to my grandma with the same fairies as usual I found a new fairy!
I thought she was so beautiful! She was resting on the sparkly thread in the leaves and her black body gleamed in the sunlight, she had long legs and a cool red spot on her back
Excited I coaxed her onto my hand and was so giddy I found a new one! I rushed back to the farm house to show my Grandma and Dad, gently carrying my new friend.
But when my Dad and Grandma turned around to see what fairy I caught I saw the color drain from their faces and both of them freeze, I could tell something was wrong but didn’t understand
My dad congratulated me and asked me if he could see the pretty fairy, I let him but felt a little nervous seeing how terrified he looked as she moved into his hands from mine.
Slowly he walked back towards the door, my grandma clutching my shoulders then my dad LAUNCHED the fairy back into the garden which I thought was rather rude
Then we had a nice long talk about Black Widow spiders

it’s like this.
if you only have one person in your life that you trust, you probably are always going to turn to that person when something shit happens. as well as whenever something good happens. or anything else. this is not inherently a bad thing, and it’s really beautiful to have someone in your life that you trust so much
but if that person is suddenly busy or going through something difficult themselves or doesn’t have emotional capacity for a while, suddenly there’s a problem. not necessarily through any fault of your own, you don’t have anyone to turn to with as much regularity as you did before
this is true of any kind of relationship. this is true of any kind of coping mechanism, also. the problem is not that you trust that person. the problem is not that you use that coping mechanism. the problem is not even that there’s something wrong with you and that it’s all your fault. the problem is that nothing can be everything
the solution is not to cut off your one trusted person or to cut yourself off from your one trusted coping mechanism. the solution is to do the difficult work of diversifying your life as much as it’s possible for you to do. which is why it sucks so much when external factors prevent you from being able to live a truly diverse life. okay that’s all have a good one
