hi there!  i’ve been working on She Awaits a bit more lately.  no proper timeline for an actual update since the time i have to work on it so few and far between these days.

i’ve been working on some maps that i had put off in the last couple of versions because i knew they’d be extremely involved and take a lot of time to complete.  that being said, one of those maps is finished!  the other is the on it’s way.

that being said i have general question for other YNFG devs: do you have difficulty working on this kind of game because it is non-linear and therefor don’t generally need to work on things in a specific order?  it’s an issue i’ve been running into.

I’m super excited to announce that She Awaits v. 0.02 is out!!

I've really enjoyed my time working on the new update this year and I hope you'll enjoy playing it!  There are a total of 8 cards(effects) available in this version as well as new areas and events to find.

Version v. 0.01 now available on itch.io!

Most of the updates in this version are me cleaning up the mess I made in 0.00: a better installer, small bug fixes involving the cards, face graphics for Noelia, and making improvements on the existing dream worlds, mostly.

There are no truly new areas, effects or events, although the chapel has been so heavily re-done (new tileset, new map) it may as well be new.  If you enjoyed the old tileset from that map: I will be bringing it back in a future update (although on a different map) but it wasn't really what I had originally envisioned for that map.

You'll also notice a lot more construction cones in this version.   There's a lot of places where I'd like to connect new dream worlds, but I don't currently have time to make them (or in a few cases the area is heavily tied to a card that isn't available yet).

That being said, I do have very big plans for 0.02!  I have no idea when I'll actually have time to work on that update, but I'm hoping to slowly work on it in 2020.

i’m always torn between: i want to show this thing i just spent hours on and not wanting to screenshot everything from my game before folks get he chance to play it for themselves

...kinda still want to add more to this area, just, not sure what.  i am very happy with the lighting and animations i have going here though!

i spent most of today and yesterday setting up the bedroom, balcony and nexus and any events and animations needed in those maps.

i might make small adjustments to the balcony and nexus later, but i want to make sure i can actually finish everything i need to before i get too nit-picky about things.
