I just saw an old post where you responded to an asshole that said stuff like "The FF's don't fit Sonic, Sally has a bland personality, Sally was naked to brainwash men into becoming simps of a comic/cartoon, Bunnie and Antoine are more superhero characters than Sonic characters, Archie/Satam influence is harming the franchise and it's best that it's forgotten entirely" with "I totally agree".

And that gets me question this...

Do you actually actually entirely agree with some asshole that clearly doesn't know about different branches in franchises (and that probably never interacted with it, because stuff like saying Sally has a bland personality)?

Or do you actually like Archie/Satam and Sally and the FF's?

I don’t recall agreeing to that. I like the Freedom Fighters and Archie and SatAM. My stance is that I don’t want them in the games because I don’t think they’d fit in the context of the games. They’re made for a very specific type of story that the games just don’t lend themselves to.

So yeah I think you may have misread my initial response or I’m just worded it awkwardly. But yeah, I don’t know. I certainly don’t agree to that stuff.

Remember when Blaze met Knuckles and kicked him into a mountain? That was neat.

Real talk though, I checked out the latest IDW issue and it was pretty alright. I think Ian did a good job writing Amy for a change but I wish she wasn't stuck working for the restoration, same goes for the rest of the cast. It only limits the potential stories you can tell and it makes the series so much more generic than what it was envisioned to be. It's basically just a furry Avengers comic which just isn't Sonic to me. I don't know why they keep justifying Surge's existence and I don't buy for a second that Blaze would praise her. I also thought that part with Blaze just...telling us her development was silly. Like we're 78 issues in, I don't think you need to tell us. But yeah, I was curious so I checked it out, that's about it.

I was talking from a conceptual standpoint. Sally was created because SoA didn’t respect SoJ’s vision, and thought they could make a better, more suitable love interest for Sonic. But the fact is, unlike Amy, Sally is incompatible with Sonic. It’s telling they had to change Sonic’s character just for Sonally to work.

And as for that last point, at least Rouge has the decency to wear clothes from the start.

Yeah but Amy lasted longer so what’s the big deal? Like you’re fighting a battle that ended decades ago. And are really doing the whole “she’s naked” thing? It’s a cartoon, don’t take it so seriously.

Why do you keep posting art about Sally?

Sally’s existence is frankly insulting to Amy’s character, as if SoA could create a more suitable love interest for Sonic than Sonic’s original creators…

Not to mention, Sally’s the reason why idiots online for the longest time associated Sonic with the furry community.

Her existence was a mistake.

First: I can make what I want.

Second: Amy has always been more popular than Sally and when they appear together they’re friends.

Third: Sonic is full of anthropomorphic characters one of which is Rouge the Bat. Like come on.

I don’t think so, personally. Boom was always strictly a comedy and I don’t think it was ever gonna go beyond that.

I would argue that introducing Professor Victoria in TailsTube makes sense, considering the first we ever saw her was in the very first episode of TailsTube. It all comes full circle.

But I can understand why you didn’t like it, considering you hardly like anything out of the franchise these days…

That came off a little passive aggressive but alright. I’m aware that she was teased in the first Tailtube, but I don’t think that justifies officially announcing a brand new character with such little fanfare. Just seems like a dumb choice and kills any kind of hype they were clearly building up. Like imagine we get all these hints and teases, then we get a new game trailer that teases this new character, that’d be awesome. But instead it was just like “Oh there she is…cool.”

So…that new Tailstube episode…

It was a bit lame to be honest in my opinion. I'm glad we finally got to see Victoria but after all that build up, it seemed like such a waste to introduce her in a Tailstube. It's like if Sage was introduced in a Twitter Takeover. Like...shouldn't we wait for more opportune time? And they didn't really do much to sell me on her, I don't really know what kind of character she is because most of it was dedicated to Orbot being unfunny.
