What is the Project?

The PJO Mythomagic Project is a collaboration between writers and artists to create a deck of mythomagic playing cards. Artists and writers will choose a figure from Greek mythology to create for. Artists will then draw the figure, whilst the writers research and summarize information and statistics for the playing card. The deck will be available to download and print for free.

Hello one and all and welcome to the PJO Fandom Event: Feast of Fortuna! Instead of waiting until the holiday season for a secret gift exchange we decided to hold a mid year event to have some fun and share amazing works from the fandom!

What is the Event?

The Feast of Fortuna is going to be a Secret Gift Exchange where people are given a person they have to anonymously create a gift for!

The event is inspired by a Secret Santa and the Riordanverse’s own Feast of Fortuna and Summer Solstice that holds significance in the Roman and Greek camps respectively. Just with a gift giving twist.

The gift will be online based from art to writing!

The gifts?

All types of art are welcome, but here’s a list of things you can sign up for and create

Traditional or digital art. (No lined paper, please! If traditional, please provide a proper scan. No sketches or doodles.)

Comics, digital or traditional. (No lined paper, please! If traditional, please provide a proper scan. No sketches or doodles)

Fanfiction. (Aim for about 1500 words.)

Aesthetic/Mood Boards. (A minimum of two boards, but more is greatly encouraged!)

Edits. (Two edits, or a set of icons. Only with the original artist’s permission!)

Playlists. (Twelve songs, and cover art.)

How will the event work?

After filling out a form, participants will be matched up with their giftee based on what they’d like to receive!

So, if this message wasn’t meant to be rude, then what exactly was your goal? Did you want me to grovel an apology instead? ‘Rip in pieces this event’ I’d like to reiterate the hundreds of people who were so happy to take part, and you’d discard their happiness for an honest mistake? That sounds like more than just rude to me, that sounds nasty and malicious. Not to mention the fact you came to me on anon, meaning that there is no possible way for me to know how to rectify the situation. If you had come into my private PM, I would’ve been more than happy to create a gift for your friend, so why didn’t you? I genuinely don’t understand. If your true goal was to get a gift for your friend, you’re not doing a very good job. 

And whilst we’re at it, you have come to me on anon again, asking me to stop ‘sympathy baiting’ when the only way I can respond to these messages are publicly. It’s either that, or me ignoring you. Which do you prefer?

Maybe the anon who has a friend who "didn't get a gift" just didn't check their notifications because my giftees never ever responded to my gifts so it's possible that just like my giftees, they failed to acknowledge their gift that someone worked hard on. So instead of complaining, they should go check to see if they were tagged somewhere and that they just overlooked it.

This is probably happened to a bunch of people to be honest, thanks for pointing it out anon!

I really don’t think I’d be able to do this again to be quite honest. It took a really heave toll on me emotionally, so unless i had a team of dependable people doing it with me, I probably won’t be putting this on again. I’m sorry.

Firstly, I think it’s incredibly rude to dismiss this whole event because I messed up with one person. One person out of three hundred and fifty, which I had largely organized by myself, causing my Christmas last year to become a literal anxious hell.

Second, to address what you’re saying; I had everyone crossed off the list, but obviously I made a mistake somewhere. If your friend could come forward, I will personally make them a gift.

Cold Mornings

Oh my god! I am so sorry for not getting done faster. I had so many tests and assignments due for as soon as the break ended and this got pushed to the side sadly. I hope you enjoy @shipperwithdreams :)   (This is the @pjosecretsanta2016 thang)

It was always cold. Be it morning, noon, or dusk. The snow didn’t let up and neither did the frost. Only three cars had passed in the street and the morning seemed to be in a slumber. Which was fine. The furnace was going strong and the blankets kept things comfortable. Not to forget that hot chocolate was always waiting in the kitchen. Mornings were peaceful in winter. The snow providing a barrier between the world and the small apartment. Time seemed to melt. Which was fine.

Percy lay in bed. The window behind him shone soft white light onto his features. It highlighted the grey streak in his hair and caught on the light scars lining his skin. Annabeth struggled not to reach out and touch him. To make sure that he was really there and with her. To make sure she hadn’t dreamt finding him. She resisted but didn’t move her gaze. There was something altogether calming about this moment. There was nothing waiting in the shadows to test their luck at another day. There was only Percy, Annabeth, and morning silence.
