I needed transcription of the videos where I met Stackie, because I cannot listen to myself on tape ever again, I HATE MY VOICE, but I want to remember the interactions fondly, so here we go. If it’s of interest to anyone else, great! If not, SORRY!

DAY ONE: SEB

Me: Hey!

Seb: RI-RUCHI!!!!!

Me: You got it! How are you? Enjoying it this time around?

Seb: I’m good! I was just, uh, I was looking at the storm outside! I didn’t know it was going on

Me: Yeah, it’s crazy!! Listen, our Bollywood pose was boss, it was good.

Seb: Oh, cool, was it? 

Me: Yeah, you have a future in, like, Bollywood movies. FYI.

Seb: Ahh, wow, well…there are some good ones from there— (editor’s note: NOW I WANT TO KNOW IF HE’S ACTUALLY SEEN ANY THOUGH)

Me: (laughing in disbelief) Yeah! Awesome. Thank you so much!

Seb: Alright, thank you—nice to see you again

Me: You too. Thanks!

DAY ONE: MACKIE

Me: Hi! Your signature is epic, by the way, Anthony.

Anthony: (sees me) Whaaat! Wassuuupp. So this is what’s so funny. You were—

Anthony gets distracted, throws something at Seb. Misses.

Anthony: Oh curveball.

Me: You almost hit him. You got it.

Anthony: Imma get it, imma get him.

Me: You’re gonna get him. Look at him, smug—

Anthony: I didn’t get your costume till you were walking away, I was like, that’s amazing.

Me: Indian Cap! Listen, if Sam Wilson can do it, Ruchi Gupta can do it.

Anthony: That is absolutely—that is the best costume I’ve seen by far.

Me: Thank you! You’re like the only person to get it in the past few hours!!!

Anthony: It’s like, that is—and I was like, do you see that?! And everyone was like, “eh?” and I was like “Awww!” 

Me: Listen, white people, man.

Anthony: That’s a great costume.

Me: Thank you! Hey, are you gonna do the ice bucket challenge? 

Anthony: Uh, I’m trying to figure it out now.

Me: You gotta one up Seb, Seb hasn;t done it yet.

Anthony: I know, I gotta figure it out—

Me: You guys should both do it during the panel tomorrow.

Anthony looks at handler with bug-eyed expression of wonder.

Me: Can I come up and do it for you guys? Please? Please.

Anthony: Jeez…

Handler: Are you gonna wearing that outfit tomorrow?

Me: I could if you want me to!

Anthony: Write down your phone number.

Me: …omg. Omg. Alright—

Anthony: We’re gonna figure this out. 

Me: Alright! (writes down number AND email address)

Anthony: We’re gonna figure this out.

Me: And I’m gonna give you my email address!

Anthony cracks the fuck up.

Me: Listen, I don’t want wires to be crossed, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Anthony: We’re gonna figure this out! Okay?

Me: ALRIGHT. Thank you!! (shakes Mackie’s hand)

Anthony: Nice to see you

Me: And congrats on being Cap!

Anthony: Thank you, I appreciate that

DAY TWO: SEB

Me: Heeey! Look! (pointing at my pics)

Seb: Oh, I love these! (signing the flexing pic)

Me: (ignoring his preciousness and being a doof) Hey look can I ask you something? Can you feel my triceps? I worked out for this picture.

Seb reaches over and feels my tricep with a half smile on his face. Quick squeeze, and:

Seb: That’s amazing!

Me: And then our vampire one turned out pretty well too, just—throwing that out there

Seb: I absolutely love all of these. All I wanna do is these pictures.

Me: And I just wanna thank you for doing this. You were so great in Philly, It made me wanna come back.

Seb: Thank you, I’m so glad you did!

Me: You’re welcome! Also, the fourth thing is, can you sign my shirt? And… I want you to look at what the shirt is (It’s the Weiner Soldier shirt)

Seb: (laughs) Oh wow, I love that (leans over and signs the shirt ON MY CHEST)

Me: And do you think we could take a picture with me in the shirt?

(At this point Seb is signing someone else’s pic thinking it’s mine so I feel bad informing him, oh no it’s not my birthday it’s someone else’s, and he pauses signing bc I’m an asshole and TAKES THE PIC WITH ME a process during which he leans over, places his hand on my shoulder and neck, and cheeses super hard.)

The rest isn’t on tape, but basically I get my phone back, Seb goes back to signing, I say, “Bye, thank you so much!” And he stops, looks up at me, eyebrows raised, and says, “See you soon?” Like he’s confirming a meeting at a later date that is sure to happen. Which is kinda sad and pathetic for me if you think about it, but whatever.

I said, “Rate I’m going, probably!”

Delightful meetings, all. Next time I want to make it a point to tell him and Mackie the reason I keep coming back is because they’re just really great, funny, talented actors who bring the characters they play alive for me and are just so magnetic that it’s kind of cool to meet them and experience their personality firsthand. I feel like all I’ve done is take advantage of how cute they are for photo opps, or how nice they are for autograph signings, but I really want them both to know how much people genuinely thrive on meeting them and sharing back the meaning we get from the art they produce, it’s important beyond just “meeting a celebrity” and they should get to feel that.
