I am here to plead my case that Whirlpool is in fact NOT a pedophile because some of you clearly skipped several English classes.

I'd like to preface this by saying I do not condone any of this, whether that be grooming, pedophilia, etc. I'm not defending these actions, simply correcting definitions.

Pedophilia is typically defined as an attraction towards those under the age of consent/minors. It is never stated that Whirlpool had any actual attraction towards any of the SeaWing princesses.

Grooming, however, is typically defined as a method of manipulation where someone develops a relationship with another (typically someone younger/below them in power), to coerce them into doing things for the groomer's benefit. Grooming does NOT have to be sexual to be considered grooming.

That is what Whirlpool is doing. He stated he wanted to marry the princesses to be king (aka for his own benefit, not out of attraction). He was grooming them for power, not attracted to them.
