The children explained Christmas. Or rather, Delibird day. I do feel slightly bad about not having gifts for them. Apparently calling it Christmas is a thing on account of the first Delibird to hand out presents to people being named Christin? The children were unsure. Apparently it has been a long, long time since that Delibird was alive.

As the children told me, Christin was a bright little delibird that had befriended a herd of sawsbuck, and had a wish of bringing joy to people everywhere. It took the blessing of a Jirachi for her to be able to fulfill it. When Jirachi woke in the depth of winter, it happened upon this little Delibird and her sawsbuck friends. She wished to bring joy to the world, and the Sawsbuck wished to help her. And so, they gained the power to fly and travel fast, carrying Christin all over the world in a single night. Jirachi, still awake, had one tag left for a wish. And a single person sat with it that night, Christin's trainer. And he wished that people remembered his little friend for a long, long time. And this is how Delibird day was started.

an entire weekend of organizing is in action as of right now. the goldenrod radio tower is officially on strike!

we are striking for respect, better treatment, and to expose who exactly keeps greenlighting the 'team rocket takeover' rebroadcasts, which is, as i've brought up multiple times, illegal and staff harrassment.

any broadcasts currently from goldenrod radio tower are not done by staff, and should be boycotted with prejudice.

A reminder for this Halloween:

- Adults can go trick or treating

- Pokemon can go trick of treating. If you don’t know the species needs and what it can’t eat, just get pokebeans, poffins, or pokepuffs. I always keep spare pokeblocks and pokebeans for the ghost types that come up to my door.

- Trick or Treaters do not need to say ‘trick or treat’, nor do they need to say it with enthusiasm.

- Tricker or treaters don’t have to have a costume

- Having a non-food option is great for trick or treaters who may have allergies / other issues pertaining to food but wish to partake in trick or treating. I like stickers or small fidget toys. They’re cheap (my university has a free space to make stickers) and can be acquired en masse.

- Make sure the path to your door is well lit, and free of obstacles.

- Remember to clean up and not leave any candy wrappers or other debris around. Small actions like that help your community and the Pokemon in your community.

A reminder for this Halloween in Alola particularly:

- please just give the team skull member your candy. I don’t care if you think they’re mean. They can go trick or treating too. Yes their uniform can be a costume. Just give them the candy. (Speaking much more personally to my across the street neighbor, who argued with a member of team skull for an hour. I think by the end of it they were arguing about something completely different.)

Rotom are so cool, their second type changes depending on what they're possessing. Fridges, for example, change them from electric/ghost to electric/ice. My own little buddy prefers cameras and is electric/normal while inside.

Hm. I keep hearing the term Rotom Phone. Whats a rotom.
