Back in high school I taught myself how to design games after coming across a program called Game Maker. It allows for anyone with an idea to simply make games; however, the more technical stuff takes a lot more time. Anyone can make a PacMan clone with a little bit of time to figure out the basic programming of PacMan.

Wanting to make an RPG, though… That's when you're going to have to take time to figure out what you want to happen, the scripts and whatnot. Anyways, I've been getting back into the habit of working on a game. An idea that's been rotting in my head since I graduated high school. I've mostly been fine-tuning the story, but I'm back to working on the programming.

My hair has finally gone back to its dark brown! My hair is a very dark brown but always looks black in pictures, in the sun, or when wet/sweaty (thanks to Florida), but since getting my hair twisted it's been black all the time. Last night I realized it's back to its dark brown!

I want to read a fanfiction story on Pokemon: Red and Blue/Fire Red and Leaf Green with foreshadowing that sets up Gold and Silver/Heart Gold and Soul Silver but as a writer I already know that my expectation will never be met.

So I guess I'm writing my first public fanfiction now I suppose. I'm mostly only writing it because I feel like the story is one of the best video game stories I've ever experienced, but it hasn't been fully expanded upon in one single medium (you have to combine the anime, the video games, and the manga to get the full story).

Reddit Trading Card Exchange!

But which ones?

The first word I thought of when I read that he plays casually was "Commander". In my eyes, it's the king of casual formats. Once you understand the main game, Commander's rules are easy to learn and play to have fun. I figured this was a good place to start for picking which cards to give.

While I don't know if he plays Commander, I want to start him up with a small collection of cards to build a Commander deck. The first part of any Commander deck is the Commander: I chose to give him none other than Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. While I've been trying to figure how to build a deck for him since I got the card in a prerelease pool, I haven't figured out how to build for him. I think it's my disdain for Zombies. Mikaeus would probably be a better fit for him anyways.

Now that I had a Commander selected, the rest was somewhat easier: black cards that have something to do with Zombies or Zombie-like effects. One of the more powerful Zombies as of recent is Veilborn Ghoul, especially in a mono-black Zombie Commander deck. I don't want to tell him how to play the cards I'm sending him; I figure that if one of the fun parts to building decks for me is figuring out how things works, it might be a fun part for him as well.

One of the few Zombie-based cards I like is Cellar Door. The only thing about it is that I haven't been lucky enough to make a single Zombie token with it. It's actually kind of frustrating. Another Zombie spell I've thrown in is Syphon Flesh, a spell that gets better and better with each additional player. I've also included Undead Warchief, a Zombie lord, and Soulless One, a Zombie that gets stronger with each Zombie… period.

I hope the person enjoys the gifts! I like to put a little thought and a little personalization into gifts I give people.
